This is truly one of those amazingly fascinating places you wouldn't think existed, but it does. So many structures, on the inside, and on the outside, of this hill. Just incredible. And to think that those defensive positions, including that tiny clifftop one, were manned, and patrolled, on a regular basis, in all weathers. Imagine being the poor sod being tasked with lookout duties at that scary little post, in the middle of a winter storm. It would be like being sent to the edge of the world. Truly loving this location. It has so much to show us, and so many little mysteries, and surprises. Looking forward to the next episode of this amazing adventure. Cheers to you both!
Isn't it incredible, what they accomplished. I wouldn't have gone down that pathway. Way too scary. I have to finish watching what other incredible finds you and Eagle eye find. Your son is absolutely incredible, the amount of hiking you do together. You are a great dad.
Now that was a really cool location. I loved the fact that the spray paint people didn't ruin the area. There was a lot of strategy put into this place. I really enjoyed this one. Thank you so much for taking the video and posting it for the rest of us.

Its Incredible What You Do And Especially The Memorys Your Giving Your Son!! Hello From Northern Ohio, USA!! And Thank You For The Videos You Share With All Of Us! You Rock Man!! Thank You!!
This place is crazy. The Germans must have gotten cold in the winter and built all these features to help then stay warm lol. I was surprised not to see any tunnels going into the mountains. Or connecting to the closed off tunnels we saw earlier in part one. Thank you Eagle Eyes for your great portrayal of a German soldier using these positions. For me it gives a better idea of how each position was used. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be a soldier in the harsh winter getting to their fighting positions. The one you went down the steps to had to be the most hazardous to get to. Glad you’re both safe and having an amazing time on these adventures.
That brown plank/board stuff was very common in the early 1900s, its just pressed wood dust and you can find it behind the drywall of a ton of older homes to this day. So that one area with the entry of wood up in the hill had to be a small barracks cause that stuff was top of the line insulation in those days.
If you haven't already you guys should research Albany War Museum WA Australia. It's port the Anzacs left from. It dates back to settlement times. Am going to nominate Eagle Eyes for an Academy Award. He does such a great job portraying a German soldier. Watching him always gives me a better understanding of each position. Am also proud of you History Hunter. You are pushing your comfort zone to new levels. Taking a chance going down the steps to the fighting position on the edge of the mountain and in the upcoming video of you and Eagle Eyes traversing the rocky terrain along the ocean with harnesses and the cable. It’s scary to watch but with the way you protect Eagle Eyes on these adventures I know you won’t do anything stupid. Stay safe out there my friend and have fun.
I agree EE is doing so well out there and i loved to see that drop even though it was a bit scary :) Thanks for being here with us my friend and have a great Easter :)
My friend , that is INCREDIBLE kind of you and we will pin point that to a very special day where we shall share something you have never seen before. Thank YOU and greetings from us.

Wonderful tour of a truly amazing section of the Atlantic Wall. The attention to the detail of the places for cover, ammunition storage and the placement of the machine gun posts for the various fields of fire are a tribute to the German military of the time. They wanted to be prepared for anything. That lookout post on the edge of the cliff would have been a tough place in a snow storm! Thanks for taking us along with you! Great stuff! Stay safe and stay well you two!
Indeed Donald , they we so busy up there , almost not to comprehend at all. Details everywhere and so incredible fortified. I would never have wanted to stand at that position in a winter storm , must have been VERY scary if you ask me. Thanks so much for your INCREDIBLE support Donald and we send our greetings your way.
Such excellent work! Thanks guys and I am looking forward to seeing more of the Atlantic Wall. My grandfather was a US soldier that ran up Juno Beach June 6th,1944. He survived since Juno wasn't protected as much.
Canada, United Kingdom, Free France and Norway all landed on Juno Beach on D-Day June 6th, 1944 (vast majority Canadians) Not an American beach on that day. Juno was plenty protected and many Canadians died on the beach that day (as well as other allied countries mentioned). This is coming from the grandson of a Canadian WWII veteran. Canada achieved the greatest progress on D-Day once we got off Juno Beach. The sacrifices of brave Canadians is lumped together all to often with the US achievements! God Bless Canada!

Hello EE, I can't wait to see how your flashlight project turns out. Really enjoy this location, can't wait to see the secrets you found. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Incredible area, a little treasure trove of emplacements waiting to be discovered. That last bunker is in fantastic condition, so glad you got to see it and record it. Good luck with the torch repairs EE.
HH another great video. It is amazing how intricate and complex the German sites are, at least most. That they are still present 70 odd years later is a testament. I still wonder if there are archives left in some basement to shed more light on the positions. Great job both of you. Stay safe and well out there. Email arriving in a day or two.

I have been watching your channel for sometime now and I will say this is the best of WW2 History to watch. I really do enjoy you and your son going together which is awesome! A father and son team that makes me very happy and proud, way to go guys! Really it's nice! I have watched so much about WW2 and yes a lot of stuff is great from the visual and locations other people make. But even high cost productions just show you this small tasting on the edge of seat luring. I will also say high cost productions do not get to the point like you do. You are literally in the trenches and go right into the points and delve yourselves with these adventures that high production versions just don't or can't give or even care to do. You give the rawness and make it fun. I'm actually tired of the high production shows that yap and yap and yap and give you such little of history. You and your family including your daughter put the real effort and always I root for the underdog and I mean that as a compliment! You guys deserve to be congratulated on your hard work because I know what it is like to walk where you have been and go through that environment. Once again a great episode worth watching because you deliver the rawness. Who cares about high production shows because in the end they all suck and you only get scraps where you guys give the steak and potatoes of production and yes that means the good stuff.

Hey, this is an incredibly well-defended location! It's like a hedgehog in that it has many very sharp spines in the form of machine gun and mortar positions, quite fascinating. And of course we must acknowledge the incredible contribution of Eagle Eyes - spotting the hidden positions and all. And having so much stamina and energy as well! He's your perfect exporing companion 🙂 Not to mention, his acting out of what soldiers might have been doing in a given spot is actually quite useful in helping us imagine the scene long ago. I also want to give you credit for your camera work. I've seen other channels that explore military sites, but most tend to use the camera as they would their own eyes, in that they flick around as they spot things, but only for a second as their brain acknowledges the scene before moving on to other things. This is very distracting and makes it very difficult to focus on anything. Whereas you use a wonderful documentary eye, which takes the time to let us see the important things and makes your explorations very informative. Your own knowledge of what you're exploring has also helped immensely and I've learned so much from your camera work. All the best!

Love your enthusiasm! :D You and EE are so thorough in your explorations: these sites are so challenging to find, as sites which once had clear line-of-sight, are now being taken back by Nature. Amazing!
Eagle eyes, you created an visual of what a soldier would endure. This is importamt so we as the viewer can use our imagination. ❤ Bravo, great episode, cannot wait to see more.
That last shelter was in amazingly good shape considering the location so close to the Ocean and all the Moisture in the air. The Stone work was exceptionally good using the locally naturally sourced rock.
A truly unique and exciting hilltop location with its super scary defensive position on the cliff edge!! Thank you EE for your enthusiasm and support of your "old man"!!! ❤ HH this series is totally amazing, thank you!
I don't quite know what to think of this position, HH! You frightened the hell out of me in that position with the sheer drop, I know that!!! Thank you, Eagle Eyes, for your wonderful demonstrations!❤
You and me both and i can promise you that the camera does not do it justice at all. SO scary to stand there and look down and everything is so steep and edges and ridges everywhre. Loving it and thanks Cynthia for being here :)
I love this video but, I love all of your videos. I wonder if there would have been anything to find metal detecting? Thank you and eagle eyes for sharing and standing by for the next. As always " good hunting ".
Thanks to you and Eagle Eyes for another great video. Love seeing all of these places. Should really get out and see what I can find in the UK. I know of a few airfields locally but unfortunately they are used for industrial purposes so not a great deal of the old stuff to see.
Great site. Talk about holding the high ground! Some things never change but the Germans sure took it seriously! Thanks for braving the terrain and showing us this site. Congrats to EE for understanding the basic concept with his K98.
Such a crazy location of the Atlantic wall. Who knows why the Germans thought they needed to fortify a position so high up? Thank you and Eagle eye for tracking up the mountain for us. Great job thank you again for the effort.
Your passion and knowledge fills up the video for an exciting and educational re-living of what it may have been like. Your addition of weather, explanation (in theories of advancing forces) gives a basic understanding to those not to familiar with battle tactics, though I don't know what directions opposing forces would have come from, but you do by being on the ground, your knowledge and skills are appreciated. Keep it up. One tip (as this is my 1st viewing of your channel). Get some drone footage up and hopefully 'Eagle Eye' will learn and carry on you great work.🙏
Thank you guys for sharing another one of your fantastic videos with us, may God bless you and your son and may He keep you both healthy so you can continue to bring all of us these amazing videos. 👍🏻✌🏻♥️😎
I think we can imagine that most of the trees and overgrowth around these emplacements wasn't there at the time of the war, they would have needed a clear field of view for firing.
My friend we wish you a healthy and full recovery from that. Not good to hear but we humans tend to be strong and survive a lot you know :) Thanks Leeroy and greetings from us.
Thanks for the video HH and EE, this place has amazed me for all the fighting positions. I began wondering if the Germans were keeping something special here. Loved the flash light EE,take care and happy hunting both of you!!😎🏞🏞🏞🏞🇬🇧🇺🇦
Thanks guys that was amazing! As impressive as their efforts where they didn't think about one thing, they would just find a way around and cut off positions like that then come back and deal with them when they found necessary to do so and it would not even slow them down. Also as much effort went into the wall it would be rendered useless soon as they broke through key positions and could start pouring inland and cut them off from their forces. That's why the ally's parachuted in behind their positions before the landings to prep the key spots. New sub thanks and great video's
@@WW2HistoryHunter What an amazing place WOW!!! I live approx 45 minutes from Gettysburg PA. Unfortunately it is off limits for metal detecting. Man I'd faint finding a plate with the swastika on it or anything related to the 2nd world war Like you come across. My grandfather was part of D day and I was to young to know to ask about it before he passed. Thank you so much for doing what you do I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!
The concrete plate at 8:05 is most likely a Bunker. Imagine 80 years ago, the trench was much deeper. You can see a trench running towards the plate, and a trench going into the opposite direction to the fighting position. Whenever you have two trenches beeing interrupted, its a sign of a building in between. This was common German Trench Tactics. I guess it was a command bunker or a communication or storage bunker. Maybe to call in Artillery on the hills when enemies were spotted. A fighting bunker would have been higher to overlook. Great Video!
Have you ever thought about writing about all these sites you have visited? I love how you bring a neutral point of view. Soldiers were doing their job, no matter which side. I really enjoy your channel! Take care and i hope you have a great day!
10:30 AWESOME fighting position, they had similar in the Falklands on the top of mountains. Im getting on with my camper build now I MUST get to see the Atlantic wall it holds so many secrets!👍👍
HH and EE are doing amazing job here. I would like to request from you an another haunted ww2 forest video. Just like your one of the old videos "ww2 ghost following me".
Great explore and discovery. Would be interesting at these locations the history of whether any combat actually took place there or whether it was just bombing etc?
What a crazy place you found, so much to see, hidden bunkers and defence positions, trenches, and fighting positions, even on a side that is almost impossible to attack, they really did what to defend something, the question is what. EE living up to his name in spotting things and finding the history. Thank you so much for taking us along with you, stay safe and well my friends
Here they protected guns , artillery gun and will share that later EE is a trooper out there and doing so well. More to come Barry and thanks for being here :)
@@WW2HistoryHunter it's out of my imagination how all this was build, its unbelievable, - think of the terrain alone. And then you do simililar things on the whole coast, what crazy efforts

All our pleasure my friend and we shall share more soon. Be safe and keep smiling :)
Brilliant. And thank you for the overall view of the area looking down to the water. Spectacular place to be. I'd love to go there one day.
I agree a very interesting place to look for history. Thanks my friend.
Love your enthusiasm! :D You and EE are so thorough in your explorations: these sites are so challenging to find, as sites which once had clear line-of-sight, are now being taken back by Nature. Amazing!
Thanks for being here ad greetings from us :)
@@WW2HistoryHunter As ever, wonderful, respectful reportage! 😊😊
That door was super cool ! That outlook was crazy ! What a view .
Glad you liked it!
Holy cow what a passion can't believe they one out on the cliff like that keep up the great work you two and I can't wait to see the next part.
Eagle eyes, you created an visual of what a soldier would endure. This is importamt so we as the viewer can use our imagination. ❤ Bravo, great episode, cannot wait to see more.
We thank you for that and EE is such a trooper out there. Very proud of him and we thank you fro being here Lisa :)
That last shelter was in amazingly good shape considering the location so close to the Ocean and all the Moisture in the air. The Stone work was exceptionally good using the locally naturally sourced rock.
We agree and tis place is just fantastic to explore and look into. Thanks Robert :)
A truly unique and exciting hilltop location with its super scary defensive position on the cliff edge!! Thank you EE for your enthusiasm and support of your "old man"!!! ❤ HH this series is totally amazing, thank you!
Yes Beverley , such a great place and loved to share that with you. EE is a trooper out there and we thank you for your great support.
Much packed into that position , would have been a sight back in the day for sure ! EE all over that. Great job guys !
Appreciated Dave and greetings from us.
Wow amazing location thank you both for sharing.
So glad to read and thanks David :)
I saw such flashlights when I was young but did not know they where army supply from the war.
Thy are great flashlights and many of them still works. Thanks for watching.
Well there are some pretty cool discoveries to be made there and we shall share more later. Thanks.
Thanks to you and Eagle Eyes for another great video. Love seeing all of these places. Should really get out and see what I can find in the UK. I know of a few airfields locally but unfortunately they are used for industrial purposes so not a great deal of the old stuff to see.
Our pleasure!
What a fantastic location. EE Is an amazing young boy. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY USA brother and eagle eye and everyone else thank you for sharing your adventures in history
Hello Earl and so great to see you here :)
Great site. Talk about holding the high ground! Some things never change but the Germans sure took it seriously! Thanks for braving the terrain and showing us this site. Congrats to EE for understanding the basic concept with his K98.
Totally agree , what a great place to find and see history. Thanks Stephanie :)
12:57 Getting a little excited talking about Hance and Wilhelm lol
Thanks for watching.
Eagle eyes deserves a medal for bravery! You should be very proud, he goes into those bunkers and tunnels with no hesitation.
He is a true adventurer :) Thanks James :)
Such a crazy location of the Atlantic wall. Who knows why the Germans thought they needed to fortify a position so high up? Thank you and Eagle eye for tracking up the mountain for us. Great job thank you again for the effort.
Good question and we loved to explore that. Thanks George :)
Get some drone footage up and hopefully 'Eagle Eye' will learn and carry on you great work.🙏
We appreciate you being here and for your kind words. Thanks and greetings from us.
Arbeit spart Blut sagte man damals! Unglaublich was für ein Platz 👍schönes Video und man hört die Begeisterung in den Worten!
Thanks Michel and greetings from us.
Thank you guys for sharing another one of your fantastic videos with us, may God bless you and your son and may He keep you both healthy so you can continue to bring all of us these amazing videos. 👍🏻✌🏻♥️😎

Yes what a great place to look into. Thanks Stephen.
Keep up the great work men! love to see new German hidden sites all the time. Love to see you find untouched sites.
Glad you like them Colby and more to come :)
Amazing location, surprised no one hasn't chiseled those MG mounts out of the rock. Excellent video as always, you and your son take care.
I agree and thanks Mark :)
I think we can imagine that most of the trees and overgrowth around these emplacements wasn't there at the time of the war, they would have needed a clear field of view for firing.
Yes it was not there for sure and i lovet his place. Thanks.
I was very ill last week. Thank you for the beautiful sights to lift my mood.
Loved the flash light EE,take care and happy hunting both of you!!😎🏞🏞🏞🏞🇬🇧🇺🇦
There are some sayings about a secret detail here and we are on the hunt to find out more. Thanks Christopher :)
Thanks for that and greetings from us.
What a crazy location. Thanks history hunter and eagle eyes👍👍👍👍💜💜💜
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing content !

E.E. is a very good young man, helping you and also company on your trips. The best to you both.I enjoy your videos very much Thank You.👍❤️🇺🇸
EE says hello here on his way to school and thanks for being here :)
Did that searchlight position on the top still have the remains of a wooden walkway around the outside. Amazing that survived
it might very well had i cant remember. Thanks for being here.
Appreciate your comment and thanks for being here :)
@@WW2HistoryHunter you are welcome!
Your videos are amazing
Thank you for that :)
Eagle Eye's awesome job 👍👍👍👍💟
Thanks Mary :)
Nice seies HH, yet another site that keeps on giving. Nice to see EE taking the lead, you'll be drafting his scripts soon.
Yes such a great place. Thanks George for being here and EE is such a trooper out there :)
Have you ever thought about writing about all these sites you have visited? I love how you bring a neutral point of view. Soldiers were doing their job, no matter which side.
I really enjoy your channel!
Take care and i hope you have a great day!
Well that could happen in the future and could be part of something new we are tinkering with :)
@@WW2HistoryHunter awesome!
Wow ,all that construction ...bloody amazing ......
Indeed it is and very glad we could share that with you. Thanks.
Go to Jersey and Alderney in The Channel Islands. Can go from a few places in France on the coast there, by boat..
Time will tell and thanks for watching.
@@WW2HistoryHunter The Channel Islands were reported to be more heavily defended than The Western Front.. Hundreds and hundreds of bunkers...

HH and EE are doing amazing job here. I would like to request from you an another haunted ww2 forest video. Just like your one of the old videos "ww2 ghost following me".
Well we will share more form there later actually. Thanks.
Great explore and discovery. Would be interesting at these locations the history of whether any combat actually took place there or whether it was just bombing etc?
ok i see and thanks for watching.

If I were some officers who didn't want to be involved in the war this is the exact type of place I would hold out at to wait out the war.

@@WW2HistoryHunter it's out of my imagination how all this was build, its unbelievable, - think of the terrain alone. And then you do simililar things on the whole coast, what crazy efforts
