As others have mentioned, seeing someone so passionate about meeting a hero of theirs almost made me tear up! Wasn't sure it was possible to be so happy experiencing someone else's happiness. Incredible to see how far yourself and the channel has come. Big love to you.
You can hear how nervous you are to meet him in your voice but that just demonstrates how much passion and how inspired you are by Sam. Great video, always nice when someone gets to meet their idol and they live up to your expectations.
My man Holden has done so much in these last couple yrs. Honestly fell off on watching the channel because of stuff going on in my life l but getting back into it and seeing how much this channel has grown just nothing but love for this dude! Also Congrats on your lil "Gohan" Much love from Cali!
This actually brought tears to my eyes, Holden. Been a fan of your channel for a while. It's always wonderful to see someone with real love and passion doing something they love and get to meet one of their idols. Cheers to you and Jen's continued success.
I'm super excited for you, Holden. I'm a huge fan of Comic Cons. I volunteer at the local one here in my town, and you can have some of the most amazing experiences at them. I went to my first con back in 2017 and met Lou Ferrigno, who was a really great guy. I was hooked. I had an interaction like you did a few years later with Tony Todd, Candyman. He and Tom Savini had tables right beside each other. Nobody was at their tables at the time, so I just strolled right up. Tony invited me to sit and talk with them. So, I sat there for a good half an hour having this really great conversation with 2 horror legends, Candyman and a legendary monster makeup artist. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life.
Pfff I teared up when you spoke to Sam Raimi, such a well thought out speech and very personal, I'm so glad you got to have that moment with him Holden!!
When you watch these type of videos from you the first thing that comes to mind is what a good person you are . I love that you could hear the nerves when you were talking to Sam Raimi just made me smile !!!!!
I could tell you were trying to make your conversation with Sam quick so as not to take up his time ( and you were nervous) but he was clearly enjoying your words and I think he would've gladly let you take a breath and just talk for a minute. Very cool moment though and just another testament that if you work hard enough, good things will come. Hard to say it was *just* a coincidence the talent manager for the con is a fan. Keep on keeping on, Holden. Love seeing you rise.
I don't know if it's because I've been having a harsh week but this video made my day. I'm really happy for you Holden, big fan of your content. God bless.
I personally will never know what this feeling is like to meet someone you looked up to and feel inspired by It seems awesome, I get closer to what it would feel like when someone so passionate like you talks about it im happy for you
Wow that talk with Sam Raimi was incredible. Your speech brought tears to my eyes. It was wonderful hearing his reaction to that. He's such an inspiration to me. I hope I'm lucky enough (and brave enough) to chat with Sam one day. Cheers!
This is so cool man. Sam Raimi is one of my all time favorites as well, and nothing has been more influential to me than the Spider-man films. So happy for you that you got to experience this and meet Sam on multiple occasions. I can tell how much it meant to you, and it really comes across in the video.
That's awesome! I think it's cool that you visit New Orleans from time to time. I know you did a video a while back in New Orleans. I don't live in New Orleans but I'm close. St. Bernard Parish. I had to skip out this year because Fan Expo is expensive, but it's a lot of fun. I'm a bit salty about it because David Hayter was there and I love MGS. I don't blame you about Bourbon Street, btw. I avoid it like Crime Alley in Gotham. lol It can be fun, sure, but it's not my scene. Glad you got to meet one of your heroes!
Man I'm really happy for you! Meeting a person you've looked up to for years, and finally having an opportunity to get a picture and chat with them is a surreal, overwhelming and nerve-wracking moment (in a good way)! I remember how much getting a photo with Stan Lee meant to me at his last appearance in Canada, and just having that quick opportunity to say "thank you for creating Spider-Man!" will always be one of the most important days of my life! And I'm glad you got to experience this with the iconic filmmaker himself!
I'm from here and was there that saturday which is crazy, you can even see my friend and I in the background by the petting zoo at one point of the video. I went there in hopes to get my Original 2005 Master Replicas FX lightsaber autographed by the clone wars cast, I got all 3 autographs on the blade. Wasn't cheap but was it so worth it. So funny how I'm just watching this video and love your channel Holden and we were there and I didn't even see you.
...as I drove threw your town last year and gave you a high 5 ( virtual high 5 ). You now drove threw my town I give you another high 5. I would have come to the con, but I messed up and had other plans. Glad you had Fun in New Orleans.
This was a treat. When I saw the length of the video my mind went "Probably going to skip through most of that," but you kept my attention. This was super cool! Congratulations on all of your success in life.
Amazing Vlog! The convention looked like so much fun and so cool that you got to meet and talk to a director you look up to! (And getting some UA-camr connections there in meeting him/getting the autograph;)
Late seeing this post. the guy at 8:35 dressed like Jon Snow was behind me in line to meet Giancarlo Esposito. Giancarlo got pulled to do photo ops right when I got up there and he came out to apologize and let us know he'd be back soon and loved this costume. He told the guy it was awesome, touched the costume and asked if he was hot. The guy was blown away. Best part was his wife had gone off somewhere and didn't come back until all this had transpired. She missed the Grand Moff complimenting the King in the North
Haven't watched too much since the end of MFW but I saw this and had to click on it. Just finished writing an essay the other day on the important of Spider-Man 2 for an American cinema history class, got laid off of my editing gig the day after and this is very inspiring. Really shows that not all is ending and I'm only 22. Plenty of time to keep pursuing the things I love. Edit: this video released the day I was laid off. Interesting timing really. Came at the right time to reassure and put things in perspective as I go into the next semester.
A friend's post about her child turning 2 today and this video of your experience meeting your hero have honestly made my year thus far. There's nothing like genuine human emotion, felt by awesome people who deserve the best this world has to offer, to uplift one's soul. Thank you for sharing your time and I hope this year brings you bundles of joy.
Holden, hey man. First time viewer. The whole reason I stumbled onto your video is I’m going to meet the legend himself Sam Rami next month and I couldn’t be more excited. Just absolutely loved your video. I feel exactly how you feel about Sam. Such an extraordinary and gifted filmmaker and person he is!!!! Dude love your content. You got a new subscriber. I know I’m gonna be nervous meeting him next month. But yeah just had to leave a comment. 🤜🤛
Damn, this was beautifull. I'm a big fan of Sam Raimi, i hope some day i could meet him in a convention. I doubt he will come to Peru, but Ash Williams taught me the hope allways remains.
Holden that was nice that you went because I went last Saturday but last Friday I had picked up Rouge second debut comic and Saturday I had picked Rouge debut comic and had them autograph
What a great experience, not only for you but for us on this end! To see it in your eyes, the blessing and appreciation of everything that you just went through. Thanks for sharing this incredible moment of your fandom with us!
Those kangaroo handlers were vicious. I paid for the experience for the my 8 year old to hold the kangaroo and they wouldn't even let my 4 year old pet the kangroo once without paying again. Haha
I can relate to meeting your inspiration. I met Steve Vai once, who has been my guitar inspiration for a thousand years, and it was one of the coolest experiences ever. So it’s awesome you got to meet someone so important to you.
SO SO AWESOME.....Great Video!!....I was lucky enough to meet two of my favorite celebrities that I'll never forget 1. I met my childhood hero Mark Hamill and got a photo with him at San Diego Comic Con and he was so so nice and this was obviously BEFORE they all starting charging for photo ops. 2. My Son and I paid to get a photo op with Chris Evans but he had to leave and Tom Holland was there also and he stayed an extra 3 hours to give the Evans photo op fans a picture with him instead so My son and I got to meet Tom Holland and get a picture with him and that was so much cooler.
Walter Jones and Karan Ashley are amazing people. When I was the celebrity coordinator at Space City Con I had the pleasure of driving them around Houston and taking them to Joel Osteen's church. Their positive attitude isn't just a stunt for their fans; they're like that at all times. If I'm not mistaken that was also the weekend that Jason David Frank filmed the reunion at his house, so they were likely exhausted and had every reason to withdraw when the fans weren't around.
I was driving home the same weekend you were on live stream saying you had to get going because of the Con, and it took all my will power to not take the exit for New Orleans and just try to find you 😩 much love and blessings HH!
Made my eyes water hearing you talk to Sam, am just happy to know you got to experience such a beautiful moment like that as well as just having an awesome time at the con in general.. Congrats, Holden.♥
Your interaction with Sam Raimi was awesome. Your reflection of the moment and the audio of you talking to him was so emotional. I almost teared up. We live in Tampa. If you’re ever In town for a convention or something let us know. Congrats on the family and your success on the platform.
Holden, such a great video and experience! I felt like I was right there with you. Your are right, Jen is going to be upset/jealous with your Kangaroo experience and R2D2 - lol
I went to a expo like this a couple months ago here in Dallas tx and I got to meet Ashley eckstein, James Arnold Taylor, and Matt lanter (Ahsoka, Obi-wan and Anakin). And I also got to meet Troy baker and got a autograph for my sister.
Dude I'm so happy for you! Those Spider-Man films had such a huge impact on me back in the day and they've helped shape who I am today. I'd love to meet Sam and I've made recommendations to Rhode Island Comic Con. Let's hope they get him! 👍
So happy for you Holden! So deserved! You’re living out my dream. I hope I get to cross path with him someday, he’s my hero. Watching these made me feel like I was you meeting him! I could feel your nerves haha!
damn!!!! Sam's Spiderman movies were such a big part of my childhood too and hearing you speak to him almost brought a tear to my eye!!! So damn happy for you man. It's a shame these Con's don't give you more time with these people but it's just the way it is. Good to see your amazing work on his channel got you that opportunity. WELL deserved!
I like how Holden need to go to every panel of Sam Raimi. Besides that… I enjoy that you enjoyed the convention. Can’t wait to go to the LA one this year
I had a similar experience happen to me in NYCC 2022. Im a big Joker fan and since it was my first CC, i decided to go as him. My bro and I were walking for only 15min until i got stopped by John Caglione Jr, the personal makeup artist for Heath Ledger's Joker. He stopped me to personally say my joker costume was the best one there. Not only was it my first CC, but it was his first CC as well. It was like fate told me to be there that day. Im not a makeup artist, but i do wanna be a screenwriter and director, and this compliment was all the inspiration i needed!
i went to the Fan Expo in San Francisco last november and going back this year, i got to see Martin Kove and Billy Zabka from Karate Kid and Cobra Kai, Caity Lotz from Legends Of Tomorrow and Arrow, Michael Rooker, the cast of Clerks along with Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, Ming Na Wen, Rufio from Hook
Lance was fired promptly lol. It's pretty cool to meet your actual heroes. I met Kevin Conroy a few years ago, and he was such a nice person, and hopefully one day I will get to meet both Mark Hamil and Steven Spielberg. This was a really fun video.
I'm going to meet Sam next week at Cherry Hill NJ Minster Mania con. Looking forward to it. I wanted to meet him before but the pandemic took care of that. I also have a photo op with him.
This is probably the happiest I've ever been for a stranger, this was lovely to watch and reawakened my inner geek
As others have mentioned, seeing someone so passionate about meeting a hero of theirs almost made me tear up! Wasn't sure it was possible to be so happy experiencing someone else's happiness. Incredible to see how far yourself and the channel has come. Big love to you.

That's amazing Holden! Congrats! Raimis first 2 Spider-man movies are near and dear to my heart as well.

OMG! I wasn't gonna watch this, but I am so glad I did. You made my CRY! So happy you got that moment!
LMAO 17:20 had me rolling. Everyone else posing and smiling and this girls stare. xD

Some of the best B- roll footage of the con I've seen. So glad you had an awesome time.
I don't know if it's because I've been having a harsh week but this video made my day. I'm really happy for you Holden, big fan of your content. God bless.
I loved all the cosplayers you guys showed off. Such great costumes!
Especially the red hood cosplayer.
I personally will never know what this feeling is like to meet someone you looked up to and feel inspired by

Dude, this actually made me really happy for you. So happy for you dude.

I was Master Chief!!! Thanks for the shoot. 17:06
Sam’s seems so genuine too like wow this was amazing
Did not except to be crying by the end of this video hahahaha
That's so cool! Glad you got to meet your hero
Great filming and editing, Holden!.. I liked the speed changes mixed with the panning shots... created a great vibe and flow to the vid!

I posted a fan expo vlog because you inspired me!♥
Congratulations Holden
Thank you for sharing this! Your moment where you got to pour your nervous heart out to your hero brought tears to my eyes! Thank you sir!

What an awesome turn of events for all of that to play out.
Congratulations on meeting your hero, Holden!

I'm so happy for you Holden! I know how much you love Sam Raimi and this is probably one of your favorite experiences ever.
That was super cool of Lance!
That's so cool!! My hero is Ahsoka and I'd love to meet Ashley some day!! I'm so happy that you got to meet your hero 🤩
Nice video. I see 2 of my cosplayer friends made your video.
This is so wholesome. Love this place!
That was so damn exciting to listen to man. Congratulations on chatting with Mr Sam raimi
Your interaction with Sam Raimi was awesome. Your reflection of the moment and the audio of you talking to him was so emotional. I almost teared up. We live in Tampa. If you’re ever In town for a convention or something let us know. Congrats on the family and your success on the platform.
Holden, you are by far one of my favorite UA-camrs I hope to meet you someday.
Holden, such a great video and experience! I felt like I was right there with you. Your are right, Jen is going to be upset/jealous with your Kangaroo experience and R2D2 - lol

This is something else!

One of the most deserving humans to have that amazing chat with Sam Raimi!!!

@@HoldenHardman Thank you so much. I'm hoping it'll be better than my experience at the Saturday nightmares convention back in 2010.
@@HoldenHardman do you know how much Sam charges for autographs? I just want to know so I make sure I have enough money for it. Thank you. 🙂
@@JazzFan76 I remember it being up there. In the $75 to $100 range.
@@HoldenHardman Thank you for letting me know. 🙂
Walter E Jones?! Heck yeah!
I got second hand jitters from watching this and seeing how nervous and excited you were to meet your idol. Good deal man.
This warmed my hear Holden. Real sweet. Sam is a true hero… but the Black Ranger was king lol
