I'm not a Cavs fan, but I hope he can be a great 6th man for the franchise in the future. He had a solid outing in the 2023 Summer League. Can't wait to see him and Sam Merrill be included on the team's rotation next season.
@@stanclickini don’t. i still believe in Okoros ability to be a Starting elite 3 & D wing. Bates would thrive in a jamal crawford/lou williams role where his ONLY concern is putting the ball in the basket lol
If Emoni truly wants to be the player he has the ability to be - you MUST... MUST do this one thing..... And all the greats did this - forget about everything but improving your game by : LIVING IN THE GYM..... put all the b.s. and temptations that come with being in the spotlight - out of your existence at the moment. Then transfer all that energy into working hard in the gym.....
The gun incident was what ruined him but at the end of the day he’s in the cavs now they should have looked passed that and understood what type of talent your about to receive the cavs knew that’s why they picked him up
You can't have a rise and fall before the age of 19 😂😂😂😂😂😂 He will be an exciting kid to watch develop in the next couple years. He will be a solid player. Good video.
If he puts some weight on and gains some agility, it'll help him off the ball on offence and on defense. It think with the cavs being a young team he'll pull through to have a long career. Only worry is injuries...
He'll be a solid role player in the league; sometimes, these teenagers have so much hype that it doesn't always materialize. Nevertheless, he has the athleticism and the skillset to stay in the league for a few years if given the opportunity.
@@dearmas9068i think it is you can have your opinion we can have ours the chances of these kids becoming what they're projected is slimmer than none it's rare as fuck
A kid sitting out 8th grade ball because "its not worth it" is a giant red flag. An 8th grader should want to play because he loves the game, not sit out because you think playing wont help your recruiting/draft stock in 3-5 years. Reclassifying a year early was also a mistake. As someone who watched him a lot at Memphis, he just couldn't adjust to the physicality and was getting beat up trying to drive to the rim, and eventually he gave up on it and just became an inefficient mid range chucker. He also didn't mesh on a team of vets who were pushing for a Conference Championship and NCAA run and they hated watching him shoot bad shots and not pass to anyone. He injured his back with the team 11-8 and they immediately go on a 10-2 run to make the tournament and almost upset Gonzaga in 2nd rd. Hopefully he bulks up and can be an off the bench scorer in the NBA, but I have a feeling that he will just be yet another player who popped off in Summer League against bad defenses. He was a 33% college 3pt shooter for 2 years but shot 40% from NBA 3 during Summer League. If that can sustain itself then maybe he has a chance.
Los cav no tie un buen alero el encaja a la perfección con Mitchell, Garland, emony , Moble y Jared Allen diablillo ese equipo va a estar bueno este año

If Emoni Bates get efficient & consistent he deserves 10-15 minutes 2023-24 NBA season

wow I'm shocked malika broke the news about the gun stuff 😂
Really good video. Thanks.
If there is negative news about a black man, Malika Andrews is always excited to announce it

So much pressure for teenagers man im telling you Lebron was already a man at 16 😅
I think he works best in a Jamal Crawford role
Something similar a spark off the bench, I think Jamal playmaking was slept on
I don't think he will ever reach close to Jamal's shot creation ability
He has the Skillset to be a Joe Johnson or Danny Granger type player if he can put it all together

My brother on this green earth he didn’t even have a real start yet
En la summer league yo lo ví y la rompió bien duro es un killer

Pretty sure he'll have an average career. Not an all-star but solid.

I bet Malika Andrews couldn't wait to report those charges against Bates!!! Can't stand that woman.
It’s really just the rise and fall and a couple decent summer league games of Emoni Bates tbh
It’s apart of the rise again which is the point😂
He hasn't proven a damn thing.

Boy don't play no defense and doesn't box out well at either end of the court. Your wingspan isn't nearly as big a deal as that problem.
