I'm probably just dumb but i thought NASA ran the Canberra complex in Australia? It's a fairly large deep space agency that works in conjunction with the ASA but is managed by NASA itself. There are NASA facilities across the United States and many place around the world outside of the U.S. The "just bear with me" comment is likely in reference to it being so far out of the norm from what he was doing earlier in the day such as going to the beach or the supermarket.

I’m 99% sure it’s a “group in the obvious wrong place” bit because it was pretty funny the first time I heard it and I think Tom Cardy is a funny dude capable of making a subtle joke in just a line or two.. Also sorry if I sounded judgmental. I commented because of the “I find that joke funny and am disappointed they missed it” angle rather than the “how stupid are you harhar” type of stuff I might’ve came across as.
Maybe but it's fairly well knows that NASA operates all over the world. Also its called the NASA deep space communication compound is famous because its a deep space dish array looking for communications, so... Oh by all means make fun of me in reactions and post questions like this i had to go and check if my initial information was correct and i found out there a ton of NASA locations all over the place outside the U.S. so this was a great comment. But ya i know Tom is hilarious and make tongue in cheek stuff all the time this was definitely an early video on my channel lol. I'm fairly confident he was referring to this communication center since its a major well known location. Still i love comments like this since I've been dealing with some recent bot comments that are just literal nonsense and mess with my backend numbers this was a breath of fresh air thanks.

This is how I react to content, how would I know its half the joke if I've never seen it before? You have the foresight of having seen the original likely hundreds of times so I'm going to miss plenty of things. People who pause at the most opportune times have likely pre watched the video. Now i do understand where your coming from, I do hope you find a reactor that better fits your style.
