Education Minister to Make Education Free of Politics

It is essential to conduct teaching-learning activities to enhance the quality of our school. It is reminded that according to prevailing laws, teachers, principals, and staff involved in teaching-learning activities should refrain from becoming members of political parties. It is noted that active teachers, principals, and staff should not take membership in any political party.
Otherwise, information will be provided to the Ministry to take legal action according to Section 16 (1) (5) (c) of the Education Act, 2028. Furthermore, all active teachers, principals, and staff in government and community institutions are also urged to submit their resignation to the concerned authority along with evidence of political party membership.
