GT was, however, built using The Bumper Engine as a base, so that's pretty neat'o!
Second of all, it's a birthday hat. This demo was released on Sonic's birthday, which was the 23rd.

I didn't know you could do that in the Bumper Engine! This is looking to be a good fan game!
I also noticed that sonic's animations are different from the default ones.
You can't do it in the original engine! That was all Greedy's work. I did assist in the conceptualizing of how the mechanic works, however. You crouch on rails using the roll button, making you more susceptible to the influence of slopes. You can also freely home in on any part of a rail, making rail switching a natural part of Sonic's moveset. It's not as complex as, say, Adventure 2, but it's a far more involved than what the Boost games have given us.

@@SuperSonic68 Ahhh, that's nicccce. Can't wait to try that out! I love how this engine seems to emphasize doing "combos" from slope to enemy to rail to keep your line going and your speed maxed, all while being reliant on the skill of the player to keep things going (As opposed to scripted sequences doing all the hard work for you). It creates the spectacle that Sonic Team constantly tries to create, all while letting the player feel in control like THEY actually did it and not the game.
@@BusterBeachside that's because they don't "feel" like they're in control at all. They simply are in control. That's the fundamental difference here compared to, say, Forces. There is no illusion of control. It's just you and the video game. That's how things should be.

I'm not working on anything Sonic-related right now besides being a tester and adviser for GT. Much of my development-juices are spent on my day job.

I have a problem using the Bumper Engine… when I enter a level in any bumper engine game the models don't appear at all save for particle effects. What could be the problem?

Read the description, he didn't actually make this one, he's only hosting the trailer. ;) It is made using his engine, though, and GHPA2 played like a dream, so I still have to agree with you that SEGA should hire this man!
