No Rise of the Ronin, no Undernight 2 for best fighting game, no TFD for best ongoing or multiplayer game, but you got 2 gacha games on there LMAO. People say year after year “no games came out” false. Games DO come out, journalists just don’t fucking play them or notice their name existence. Even Lords of the Fallen didn’t get nominated for the year it came out. The game awards remains a joke, I only tune in for the game trailers, but it truly shows journalists only play meta games. You’d think it’s a celebration of all the games that came out in those years, nah it’s a “suck off popular games” contest 🤣 We need someone to run a better show man, tired of all this. It’s not about who wins, but recognition, to let average or gamers in general know the stuff that came out you probably didn’t notice. Geoff not beating the FF16 allegations of last year. 😠 It didn’t have to win but it could’ve been on the list
I remember when I used to mark my calendar for E3, TGS, Game Awards, and waiting patiently to watch the stream. Now, they are just merely a shadow of the past.
I grew out of it and I saw how toxic the fanbase is. As an IP by itself, the books were good but there are others better, and I try rewatching the films if I happen to see them on TV but they are made in a way that catered to late 2000s/early 2010s tumblr kids in fandoms. Nothing wrong with any of that if you genuinely still like it, I can see why people still do, I just know of better series that give me more entertainment and satisfaction.
The desperation of the journos is only matched by the desperation of the Game awards people! Putting DLC in the same category as base games and nominating obscure games instead of clearly good games like Wukong,Stellar blade, and Space Marine 2!😂
The most viewed UA-cam game review channels should get together and have their own awards show. I think gamers be much more interested in that over anything put out by game journalists.

I'm pretty sure TGA has a quota for smaller indie games, every year at least one of those gets nominated. DLC is another story tho, probably should not be there
The only way foward for any award show is, no more jury, no more media votes, only consumer votes or actual stats sale numbers and recurring player count.
Game of the year has never, ever had credibility. Ever. Even as a kid I knew it was never a measure of quality. At best, just a measure of sales. At worst, a title someone paid to be bestowed upon them like the "j.d. power and associates" awards for cars. 🤷

Game Awards had credibility? Could have fooled me especially that one year LOU2 got a ridiculous amount of awards and even had ones created just so it could win those too
@@sebbenforte It got nominated twice just not in the GOTY category.
Instead of Balatro and Elden DLC.
Stellar Blade and Space Marine 2 ...
Balatro is honestly amazing.
Nominated for more than what Hogwarts got. I wonder why..
I hope for 2025, we get a SLOP OF THE YEAR category
We need a game player award where WE pick the games.😊
No Rise of the Ronin, no Undernight 2 for best fighting game, no TFD for best ongoing or multiplayer game, but you got 2 gacha games on there LMAO. People say year after year “no games came out” false. Games DO come out, journalists just don’t fucking play them or notice their name existence. Even Lords of the Fallen didn’t get nominated for the year it came out. The game awards remains a joke, I only tune in for the game trailers, but it truly shows journalists only play meta games. You’d think it’s a celebration of all the games that came out in those years, nah it’s a “suck off popular games” contest 🤣
We need someone to run a better show man, tired of all this. It’s not about who wins, but recognition, to let average or gamers in general know the stuff that came out you probably didn’t notice. Geoff not beating the FF16 allegations of last year. 😠
It didn’t have to win but it could’ve been on the list
You can't spell The Game Awards without controversy.
...what? You literally do.
@neonsheep3358 it's a saying not literal
@@BobNoobin obviously riffing off of "can't spell ignorant without IGN" which was funny because its true. This isn't funny. Its a bad joke.
@@neonsheep3358 Bad jokes can also be funny LUL
You can't watch the game awards without experiencing Gerd! And you can't spell gerd without Game awards
The game awards don't count unless it has all of the best games and they are missing Staller blade
I wanna hear from the guy who foolishly said " go woke go br.. top of the charts " 😂
They should nominate Concord for the quickest death of a game award.
Its a corporate board meeting, for employee of the month. Every company is connected to the "jury". B s .
Why would Veilguard be nominated? it couldn't even compete with Farming Sim 25 which sold over 2million copies in a week.
How do we ask the patent office NOT to grant him the exclusive use of the WORDS ‘awards’ and ‘game’ ?
Some sorta petition against?
He won't it's too broad
More like the Lame Awards.
.. I'll see myself out.
Veilgaurd didn't deserve a nomination.
If SOTE is valid, then where's my Blood and Wine and Phantom Liberty GOTY?!
I have zero interest in the game awards. It's a ceremony for the corporations, not the gamers.
This is an outrage dragon age is a return to form
Huh?
WTF did Failguard improve for accessibility?
That you can win the combat it with closed eyes and solve the riddles with an IQ of 75?
They have a God mode for the game.
accessible to r-tart-ed
From what I'm told, it was actually nearly bug free so maybe therexs that. But that should be the bare minimum.
I didn't even realize there still was a game awards. I thought this was something they did on the old G4 tv years ago.
Failguard is just a PR nightmare better take that shit our at this point.
The video game equivalent of the Oscars. Absolutely worthless.
Thank GOD they snubbed that woke guard trash
I remember when I used to mark my calendar for E3, TGS, Game Awards, and waiting patiently to watch the stream.
Now, they are just merely a shadow of the past.
How can a bunch of pagans not like Harry Potter?
I grew out of it and I saw how toxic the fanbase is. As an IP by itself, the books were good but there are others better, and I try rewatching the films if I happen to see them on TV but they are made in a way that catered to late 2000s/early 2010s tumblr kids in fandoms. Nothing wrong with any of that if you genuinely still like it, I can see why people still do, I just know of better series that give me more entertainment and satisfaction.
My Grandma always said "I don't care what they teach you in school, Taash IS the best character in Veilguard."
Traash is the real MC of DATV, not the player. 🤦♂
Yes as Concord deserved to be nominated for Goty, Lol.
They also mispelled "Wuthering Waves" a mobile game as "Withering Waves"
It sold far less than all the other games that were nominated for goty. It didn’t get snubbed lol In fact it’s lucky to have been nominated at all.
There should have had, Longest Time-Frame Failure development award or The Most Expensive Development Cost Award. Then that game would be added in. 😅
Don’t buy or play dragon age, the booty guard because it’s a piece of boo-boo
What would it have been nominated for?
So they said it was goty then they backtracked and lowered their scores…. Now its goty again? 😂 these people do not believe in anything
they could be crying and seething while listing the nominees, especially on those CAPS LOCK and misspelled titles.🤣
I only support the real game awards from side scrollers
Damn. The game awards are no longer run by actual gamers.
I'm not even going to watch the game awards but I'm glad veilguard got snubbed from the awards because it is such a awful game
Hear that? It's me playing the tiniest violin for BioWare.
Imagine that a 10 + year old game getting a current day game of the year award because they made a pretty good DLC well after its launch year.
The desperation of the journos is only matched by the desperation of the Game awards people!
Putting DLC in the same category as base games and nominating obscure games instead of clearly good games like Wukong,Stellar blade, and Space Marine 2!😂
Aww!
Those poor journos!😢
A bad game was snubbed because it was bad!😂
It kinda restores a VERY small amount of respect that Veilguard wasn't nominated. It certainly didn't deserve it.
The most viewed UA-cam game review channels should get together and have their own awards show. I think gamers be much more interested in that over anything put out by game journalists.
In the end of the day, sales is the most prestigious award for the game. It's recognition from million of player, especially if they can reach 10M or more.
Misspelling? No, simply they cant take it and make this intentionally, that's how children with huge Ego react.
I didn't even realize the game awards were happening.
I think if there wasnt an exceptionally good game this year, its ok to not have a goty
omg each one of their articles is an entire saltmine. Delicious.
For me, neither Balatro nor DLCs should be competing for GOTY. Stellar Blade, Helldivers and Wahammer would easily take those places. 😑
I'm pretty sure TGA has a quota for smaller indie games, every year at least one of those gets nominated. DLC is another story tho, probably should not be there
The only way foward for any award show is, no more jury, no more media votes, only consumer votes or actual stats sale numbers and recurring player count.
btw, we absolutely do know who the judges are, we saw the list before it was deleted
Clearly Concord should’ve sweeped! 😡
😂
Game of the year has never, ever had credibility. Ever. Even as a kid I knew it was never a measure of quality. At best, just a measure of sales. At worst, a title someone paid to be bestowed upon them like the "j.d. power and associates" awards for cars. 🤷
Concord should have been nominated so we all know that this award is just for show.
Why does this have to be treated like a courtroom?
couldn't even get a nomination for a rigged award lmfao
I think it would’ve been far more controversial to have included Dragon Age anywhere among the nominations 😂
