You can't judge this battle man. It's two different stylé and to high level !
two different style yes but come on its extremely clear which was best suited.
Both Kapela and Meech are both so talented at Improv, and both so unique in their expressions of dance, that calling one a "winner" in such an elevated exchange of energy would be naive IMO. They each had moments, they each "won" for 5-10 seconds many times. I think moreso than any other battle I have seen in years, the exchanges here are the essence of house.
Meech bought more energy. He was more into the vibe. Not taking anything from kapela cause I've seen him destroy other dancers. But meech clearly won this battle.

That's called freedom in dance no giving a f what people think and that's how it should be, so many people are worried about how good they look when they are dancing or care too much about what people think of the way dance as you can tell meech doesn't care about all that.

......... if they could leave out the completely unnescessary out of place writhing , jerking and on the ground they it would be flawless and digestable! i cant believe what we call " dancing " today...
these stupid flips and random kick and spins doesnt belong in a dinamic coreography! it just puts me off immediatly because it becomes goofy as hell!
Anyway respect goes out to every dancer who has the bravery and courage to express themselves in front of that big crowd !
I guess you don't understand what house dance is then. First of all nothing here is choreographed, it's pure improvisation of what both dancers feel to the music. House is about feeling the music and showing your groove and passion for it (actually any dancer should show this) - it's not about fancy and *digestible* moves.
Also what do you mean with "what we call dancing *today*.." ? Kapela danced like that for a long time and he's one of the big people in the house scene since the 80's!
I know every person has another taste for all the different dances out there but don't disrespect the culture and the character behind it or else everyone could just say "oh wow thes hip hoppers nowadays really look stupid with their old-fashioned robo-dance - they can't even do any steps and only make random body movements" -> I'm pretty sure every man experienced in hip hop would be offended.
Don't think by steps or by looks, rather think about groove, FUN and finesse.
And that's coming from a pair dance teacher who has to teach stuff like Tango, Lindy Hop or classic Waltz
@@sn4pi i think i have to apologize, i was a complertely different person ina very different mood! wha i said is just something i should have kept to myself! i can have an opinion but this can be changed by a lot of things and i know i shouldnt criticise aything or anyobe because it can change! it was just stupid to leave a nasty negative comment here as for i am known for my longsighted provident nature! When i wrote this comment i was under the influence of long time drug usage. i diditn use on the day i wrote it but years of these things can have effects like this and i have tried a lot of times to come out of it with half succes! but with every success i was more sober and less a drug user! and so here i am ! Also stumbled across a beautyfull thing in the forest with my mates, my current girlfriend! i stopped using drugs a long time ago but she was the one who put the last dot for me! i wanted to change, i HAVE changed and never thought about going back on this road again! Becasue every time you fall down from grace its always gonna be harder to get out from the next one and the you do it again and again and again until you feel your life cant gop on like this! Literally pointless!
so yea big respect to AANNYONE who are able to and capable of expressing themselves in front of a crowd like this!
^-^ fun fact my Girlfiend is also a musician dancer , and teacher, she teaches on every instrument , does belly dancing and tribal fusion dance, also does Yoga she is areal healer! She has a lot of skills and she can deal with people because of it!
