Crouching Skeleton

  • My version of the crouching skeleton. I did not come up with this design, just got the idea from others on UA-cam and sorta combined what I thought was best.
    Since it required a box, I thought I would add a moving hand inside the box. Not really a full-build tutorial, but maybe enough to get you started.
    The skeleton is from Home Depot (2020)
    Wiper motor and motor controller, and power supply are from Fright Props.
    The motor that drives the hand is a: TYC AC 100-127V 5-6R/Min.
    I used a small strip of LED green lights and connected the wiper motor and LED light to the same 12v power source using a Y dual power cord adapter.
    To make the chest sway back and forth, I used 80lb fishing line to pull the shoulder down when the skeleton moves up (anchored to the box), then when it moves down the rubber bands pull the other shoulder back.
    The box itself was made from just scrap wood. A rotting piece of plywood from my backyard was used for the top. Spray painted with brown black and some texture paint from Home Depot.
