- Hello, my friends, Keith Rucker, Mike Wiggins, and myself embark on a journey out west to the Bar Z Bash.
We got to see things from the road we had missed in previous trips when flying. From mountain goats(or Rams, I don't know the difference) to road runners and spectacular scenery.
We were on the road for two weeks, and stayed with some awesome friends on the way.
Anyway, I had a long break from work and must say I really enjoyed it but now back to work in the upcoming videos.

Great trip for all of you. Thanks for stopping in for a night, Julie and I really enjoyed your visit. At least you each had your own room.
Thanks for having us Randy! The pine cones made it back safely👍
@@windyhillfoundry5940 Good deal
The dissertation at the end was golden. Good thing I had finished my cup of coffee before it started. LMAO.
The 3 musketeers out on a wild west ride. My 3 most loved you tubers together on a wild ride.. It could not be better... Love from Sweden// Micke
At 20:02 the panels on the ground reflect the sunlight to focus at the top of the tower heating the material in the chamber (I think it is sodium) to very hot temperatures which flashes water to steam to turn a turbine and make electricity. Thanks for sharing the road trip Clarke, Keith, and Mike.
Thanks for the explanation, that really interesting👍
My dad worked on the solar array. He was aligning the mirrors to the tower. I was about 15 at the time.
That looked like the Ivanpah Solar Power Facility. It isn't a mirror reflecting to the ground, it is mirrors reflecting to the middle unit. Water is constantly pumped through the unit and is super heated. The result is a solar steam turbine. It has another name...solar death ray to anything that gets in range...and yes, bird do fly into that ray and get incinerated. The "efficiency" isn't great at all, and while it does supply power, I believe they have stated that maintenance doesn't make this super viable, but it is better than having nothing at all.
Great times with Great Friends. Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip with us!
I still can’t believe the USS IOWA wasn’t made in Iowa…classic…
I know right🙄
Randys place is really looking nice!
For those solar plants, y'all had it backwards - the mirrors reflect light up to the central pillar which generates power (I think via heating salt up to melting point, then using that to boil water to turn steam turbines). Really cool to see that!
Neat, I didn't know. Mike Wiggins was the voice explaining it
Same concept as in movie 'Sahara'
Yeah, it toasts a lot of birdies.
You got a lot in this video. It was so cool to meet you all at the Bar Z Summer Bash and then have you over as guests at our home and truly having said goodbye to great friends. I know Brendon is thankful for all the good discussions and that you were a tremendous help to him and his ambitions. *Christina
It was awesome meeting you and your family and really enjoyed the dinner you prepared also👍
Funny as xxxx, a great video.. Cheers 👍
Would have loved to join you guys! Maybe another time! Loved the sharing!
Good to see Mike, miss his channel.
That grinding wheel balancing system is INCREDIBLE. As an aircraft mechanic, I am very familiar with the INSIGHT line of aviation products. Thanks, Clark.
Rex that is Mr. Insight himself. Very clever man👍
👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing Hope you enjoyed the trip
I did👍
Thanks to you all for another great video. By the way, Clark, I don't know if you are aware but you got something sticking up out of your hat! 😂
Looks like it was a great trip . Great video , Cheers 👍
Man you guys sure had a great time 👍👍
Had to crack up at HD cart with square wheels, I think they source from the same supplier as there nice straight 2x4's 😂😂
I made the effort to push that cart all the way around the store and annoy everyone😁
@@windyhillfoundry5940 I actually found grabbed, a cart with round wheels a couple days ago. It was like finding a gold nugget 👍
👍👍😎👍👍
Good Times ! A delightful presentation. Thanks for sharing.
What a treat to go along with you guys. Great vid. Thats a long time living out of a suit case.
Enjoyed ❤
Pleasure meeting you Clark! Thanks again for the full-day casting demo!
Any time!
You've got to do a cross country road trip at least once. I've done them many times both as a kid being drug all around the states West of the Mississippi and then again as an adult with my wife both in the Porsche and on the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. Even if you only do it once the South West of the US is indescribably a sight to be seen and then there is the Rockies and the Tetons mountains, breathtaking.
A bucket list item for sure. Do it before you jump out of the airplane or bungee off a bridge, just in case!
Anything requiring jumping off is not on my list 😁
It look like you had a great time. I am glad you got to see the other side of the country. Have a good day Clark.
That balance system looks really interesting
Это здорово,я смотрел все видео как вы делали брашпиль для лодки,просто какой то релакс от просмотра.Классно когда все на одой волне.Привет из России.
what a great crew
WOW! What a great trip. You guys are so lucky. Thanks for the videos.
This is a really good video, felt like I went a few places
22:09….. I know that voice. I have the greatest amount of respect for Victor Davis Hanson. What a brilliant man. Super intelligent and so very humble. 🇺🇸
I’m going to hit the 👍🏻 for that at minimum ! Hahaha
I am glad you were able to see the part of the country I live in.
Great video
🇬🇧😐
That was a great trip. As usual thanks for the video. 😅
I wish you could have included a day with Tally-Ho on this trip...
You didn't include the answer! (edit: or maybe you did...I need to watch the rest) I got 26, 24x24+8x8+6x6 = 676 which is 26x26. Long multiplication is a pain and the square root was a guess based on 25x25 being 625 and assuming the answer was a whole number 😁
I forgot what the answer was🤣
@@windyhillfoundry5940 Oh well, time to get the calculator out! 🤣
Yep - 26
@@shandylynn1 That's a relief, I can still do long multiplication. I did check 26x26 but assumed the rest was correct, assuming the answer was an integer. And this is why we use calculators nowadays 😄
Thanks a bunch and too bad NW Canada is so far from the bash. One day eh.
ya know, I run 12 miles a day so, so, that's another story ...
😂

Engineers don't know how to weld, they think a mig welder, is the right welder to use. Stick welding is the right way to go!
