Grew up riding chestnuts park. What a great time back in high school. The drive there from the suburbs for us back then was also such a good adventure for our group. Good times back then. Farside usually being open in the early season was always a blast to session. Then when they opened their park line down the other side of the mountian around their competition time it always made so much opportunities for us back then.
I grew up riding Chestnut, still make it out there once or twice a year with my youngest. It's evolved A LOT, and the view of the Mississippi is freaking amazing.
Thanks JB! I absolutely loved my time at Chestnut Mtn. I lived in Oak Park, IL &. we'd still drive up there and back. Leaving early in AM from Oak Park - it's typically a 2hr & 30 min drive. Stretches to 2 hrs 50 mins w/ later departures. It's about the same drive time from CHICAGO! Go to Chicago before or afterwards to enjoy its treasures and still go riding or skiing during your vacation! Loads of fun. Great employees. Lodge is nice. Mid week is lap after lap city!!
I almost went to Chestnut late last season after my home resort at the time closed. I ended up driving to Sundown instead because of the (timely) vlog. Worth the 5 hr drive for one more weekend of riding. I wish I would have had one more day for chestnut on my drive back. Either way thanks for the extra weekend. The map really helped me find my best options. I don't think I'll have the same issue this year, living in Colorado (:

Honestly farside is one of the best parks I’ve seen in the Midwest
This is why my family hits Chestnut every New Years weekend! And that is the Mississippi River!

What’s the actual name of the black run that he called the wall? I looked on the map and don’t see it.
Mineshaft
Would be awesome if y'all made neck gaiter's for skiers.
and hats
All runs end at the Mississippi River. And no cell signal but that was a while ago lol
Chestnut is good, you need to give Sundown another try when it isn't - 20 and their terrain Park is fully up and running.
