I fished there with my father twice. We had Cree Indian guides for the week. We stayed on the Enchanted Island. It was about 30 miles out from Kenora. We boated in once and flew in on a small pontoon plane the 2nd time. We caught a 50 " as the largest. 12 muskies that week. One was a lot larger we saw that took a muskie Jitterbug, but my dad was not watching and the muskie spit it out while rolling. The guide saw it and said is was over 40 lb. Lots of northerns, walleye, and small mouth bass. We had shore lunch each day. Great trips.
Wow that was great - going up there in less than two months. My favorite guide and teacher is Bill Sandy. There's a guy that can catch a muskie on a figure 8. Wide sweeping figure 8's.
Hi, i am planning to go there this summer and hopefully catch one. can i have your advise ? Should I use a wire leader? And, what color has most chance to catch musky? Thank you in advance!
One of the best vids I have seen here! What area are you fishing. I will be up at the NW Angle Aug 1. Fishing out of Centre Island South that week. Awesome trip. Again, fantastic movie!
interesting how that fish followed your jerk bait for so long and seemed so interested and was finally caught on a bucktail. Something to put in the log book.
amazing video i just got a drone also and I cant wait to take it out musky fishing...only ice fishing right now till spring!! and what editing software do you use???
+Adam Watson When I am able to go up there, I usually go anywhere from 3-7 days at a time. Ron Wackwitz is the guide that we know, and he knows the Lake unbelievably well. He has lived there his whole life, and knows all the good spots! I can connect you with him if you are able to go up to the Lake of the Woods sometime!
+Jamie Hiner (Jamie Hiner Creations) Awesome, I spoke with some friends Sunday during a musky convention and we were thinking about Lake of the Woods in August. Once we start organizing the trip hopefully in the next month or so, i'll hit you back. Thanks Man, keep up the good work!

Nice video. Seeing comments about your 8s being too fast. I typically rip my 8s. Not sure they can be too fast.

We were fishing around Big Narrows mostly on this trip. Great Muskie area!

very cool & yes not slow down the 8s, but much wider turns
fish needs space to turn its body, you will get more hits that way for sure. ;)
Thanks for the advice!

Jeez if it won't commit the third time it's time to switch
Didn't help that I was figure 8-ing too fast as well!
