Bro just wrote something to just finish his degree🤣 and people keep talking about it🤣
xD

True lol, people keep overreacting
Bruh.. degree is more important in any asian countries..hehe
@@marsalah70 in my family, degree is the bare min to not be considered failure

By the way we exist in ernakulam district which has 100% literacy rate in Kerala which has the highest literacy rate in India
Nothing to show off to other Indians just to show people of other countries India ain't that illiterate
"I chose the theme because it would be easy for me to write"
As someone who was just graduated from uni, I absolutely relate with that 😂.
Everyone that has written a thesis can relate with it. A thesis is still part of the education, you aren't going to discover something revolutionary, regardless of what you do because you simply don't have the time, resources and overall prerequisites to do that. I have both written a bachelor and master thesis, and no doubt the topic of choice for my thesis have been dependant on how easy it would be to execute such a topic.
I like how hes Honest about it, with this level of Media interest he could say that this made his game perfect, the media would love this
@@Skumtomten1 Everyone is a big claim, not everyone writes about what's easy.
He's very honest and people should get the hint. The purpose of his thesis was to do a competent and coherent piece of research for his degree, it wasn't done to discover something revolutionary and it hasn't particularly impacted his way of playing football. He needed to write a thesis and decided on something he could speak to that would be interesting to write about and which he knows a lot about. He could claim that he discovered the scientific underpinning of successful dribbling, but he is honest. He needed to do a thesis and elected to do something he is interested in and could write about, but it's purpose and function was and is not to change the world of dribbling, for him or for anyone else. It's purpose was to satisfy the requirements of his degree. He is a good and humble man.
Kind of like how I took French as my foreign language in high school in America even though I was born there and it was my first language. :P

I got more of an impression that he just wanted to do a project that he would pass and get his degree, it just got blow out proportion from football fans, quiet funny😂

He is like a reluctant star who is shy and humble.
日本人はこういう人がとても多いです。日本に行ったら分かります。
Basically with Mitoma saying he wrote the thesis about dribbling to simply finish his degree and how people have been talking about it, it just shows how great he is in dribbling.
He is such a humble and shy man, best of luck to him and Brighton this season.

A wonderful talented player on and off the pitch... Brighton is very lucky to have him, and this is coming from a Liverpool fan... BTW, he speaks wonderful English as well.
Yeah you can tell he understands the questions in English. Probably just wants to give decent answers rather than cookie-cutter football player-speak answers
I like how when he speaks even though it's in another language he quickly articulates his answers in detail. He can pinpoint where his game has improved under Robert, what he looks for when 1on1 with a defender and the fact he will ALWAYS pass the ball if a teammate is in a better position, the English being easier to understand at Brighton and their style of football playing to his strengths.
Just from this short interview I know more about Mitoma than I thought I ever would. I've watched countless other interviews with players but didn't enjoy them as much as I did hearing from Mitoma.
Such a calm gentleman
Great player and very humble as well. I hope he can maintain this form for many seasons to come.
GOAT MITOMA🇯🇵❤️🔥
I like this guy mentality,he knows his season has been good but he wants to be better than he currently is and he is prepared for tough times wish I hope he does not have.
That's a very relatable purpose, I too did a thesis because it is easier to write and I'm familiar with it. People must know that doing a thesis, especially for a degree, the purpose is to help people to discover more about the subject they're searching, not to do anything revolutionary in particular.
Possibly because of Mitoma having a university degree, which seems to be quite rare amongst pro-level footballers, was why the media hyped him that much.
He got university degree, a professional career and a very good performance. There is no wonder praise and hype about him is everywhere.
Let's not forget some crucial and very memorable moment like that moment where the ball is stil 0.1mm on line when he played for the Japanese team which then give him an assist or his goal against Liverpool. When he also dribble around every defense from the wing as well (against Chelsea from example). There is some more moment too.
Hope he can keep this form up and who know? perhaps we are seeing a potential Japanese player making big name in PL.
@@jaeyyolo Yup, can't deny the facts. I hope we can see him develope well
He always sounds just happy with his life in Brighton :)
He is a really exciting player to watch. Always love to see new up and coming players do well in the premier league.
Thank you for uploading the subbed version.
I enjoyed watching his duel with Bissaka as a Man United fan, was exciting.
how many years to study n get a degree with training at the same time, speak volume of his commitment n intelligence for his current n future retired path that he chose for himself since young, he will keep learning like a student and surprise everyone with new Brighton thesis bringing joy to all his fans
Thank you for this ESPN. Great content!
What a lad so humble
What an honest guy
Lol at the reason for doing his thesis on dribbling, LOL… he is one of us
Actually he wants the MEDIA to stop talking about it.
Probably sick of the *fans* who keep mentioning academics and anime. He's a person who just happens to be a pro footballer, not a walking stereotype. I feel embarrassed for him.
this boy was brilliant to watch this season
I'm a black man but for some reason I find the Asian language very interesting I would like to learn Japanese one day
I agree with title because he is already amazing
the first time I saw him play... I pointed at him and said "That's the one"
He never once credited himself for any of his success. "I played a lot of games because of my teammates. Assists and goals thanks to my teammates. I adjusted well because Brighton is such a nice place"
Japanese people truly have one of the best personalities 🙏
I wish the attack at LFC wasn’t already stacked so we could add him to it. Humble characters like him do well with the club.
I wanna see him learn English but I gotta say the Japanese is a nice change 👌🏾 love that language
Actually he can speak english in conversation , have a look in his interview in brighton fc channel
It's clear he understands the questions, but he probably doesn't feel comfortable answering them yet.

Find the thesis, we need the thesis....you can tell its a treasure trove with how he tries to downplay it. He then goes to talk about watching a defenders centre of gravity, equilibrium i dnt knw velocity.....i promise you lots, its in the divine god book of dribbling....find the thesis😂😂

Dude is so good he's a rising star
Incredibly level headed. Maybe if he didn't want so much interest in his thesis he shouldn't be such a great dribbler!😅
He is very fast and never tires
Shoutout Mitoma man, so inspirational
His dream came true brighton has qualified for europa league 👏
So sad Brighton got knocked out of FA Cup... It was an incredible opportunity for Mitoma and his team... Hope he can up his performance onward cuz today he wasn't exactly stellar... Good luck!

Fun fact, most people here never write a thesis and think it would be easy. 😂

Mitoma is all of us. Turning in a random assignment just to get it done and then finding out that the teacher somehow loves it.

Happy and humble... Reminds me of why we love Son. They're similar in personality
He's not just have good dribbling. He's so have good intelligent
that‘s what I hope Taki would become… such a shame he never reached the level he had against us (Liverpool vs Salzburg)
He seems almost annoyed at how many people don't exactly know what happened in university and piled on to the media sensationalism
He just didn't want any more defenders reading his thesis
Can’t tell people to forget when it explains why he’s so brilliant at dribbling 😂
He is really good at dribbling to be fair
Some really interesting questions asked
I really like Mitoma, but I always thought the craze around his dribbling skills because of his thesis was stupid.
A thesis is something literally all graduates of universities have to write. And chances are, it’s not gonna be some ground breaking phenomenon. Dribbling is something that connects your whole mind and body. If someone figured out how regular people could dribble like Messi then they would probably be a lot of messi’s in the world. But they haven’t. People tend to over look but somehow always mention that he was already scouted to a pro team before going to university and was still good enough after not playing pro at 20.
He, himself is just a master at dribbling, maybe his research has helped him become a better dribbler but it’s not gonna help the average person to become levels above. Being able to tell where the ball is while looking at a defender is not something you can really translate via writing, you have to practice that and if you have talent you ascend past your peers. Not to say his thesis wouldn’t help players, but I think it was more of to get his marks than to become the Albert Einstein of football.
Seriously, you can’t exactly teach someone how to dribble like Messi, you can maybe catch cues on when to dribble past a player, like when they put their weight on a back foot or look away for a spilt second, but even then, that’s all going on in his own brain and maybe watching that film on the GoPro helped him a little bit. But I never understood why there was such a heavy emphasis on him going to university. It’s something a lot of people do, and his reason why he did go to university has been stated many times in videos and articles. It was because he didn’t feel like he was ready to become a pro. Most likely because unlike Spain or other European countries academies, Japan might not have nutritionist or sports phyisos that could help him.
He went to study nutrition and learn about his own body, he didn’t go to university in hopes of becoming the dribbler he is today. Idk remember what the phenomenon is called, but when people attribute a reason to something because it works. Like every video and article mentions that he felt like he wasn’t ready to go pro and decided to learn about neutrino and his own body, and then emphasized his thesis about dribbling. Like bro, he literally told you why he went to uni, and he so happened to write a thesis on something he’s interested in.
Literally people say his thesis was just about watching how defenders react to a 1v1 and how good Vs. Bad dribblers use cues to dribble past someone. There’s not much else from my knowledge.
I’m sure it will help, helpless dribblers improve a bit. But you’re not gonna become Messi unless you repeatedly have real life dribbling experience. Basically instead of doing dumbass come drills that don’t have a real person reacting to what you are doing, get a real defender and try to get past them and learn about what makes a person a good dribbler.
You dont need flashy moves to get past players.
Read what the defenders give you, keep them guessing/off balance, and be extremely EFFICIENT
Do you mean BORING?
He is too handsome
Yea he has the looks as well, could be an actor in Japan. Talent, fame, money, looks, great personality, Mitoma has it all xD
I’d like to see his thesis on Aaron Wan Bisakka👀
Gonna keep my eye on him and see how he progresses
i would love him at liverpool, but we burned our japanese bridges with minamino- san :(
what a nice lad
he wants everyone to forget his thesis... so that no one could reach his height of dribbling skills 😂

honestly the fact he do that thesis is already make every football fans suprised and impressed with his as professional football players. He just amazing and dazzling for asian players i feel like i have never seen asian players that have good dribling on 1v1 in premiere league, son is great but mitoma is something else when he dribble and sprinting with the ball on his feet. I can see big club coming for him in few years if he keep playing with brighton
don't forget Park Ji-sung
that man is double the size of mitoma!

He is the one of the best footballer in Europe I guess
Not just as asian, he is just good !
What this really means is “ I left my cheat codes to out in the open forget all about it “
its hilarious that everyone talks about his dribbling thesis and his answer is always "its never helped me out in real football, i just thought it would be easy to write for uni"
he's been saying from the beginning. he was too busy, so that he needed to finish his thesis earlier than other students. many students fail to graduate. to pass the final exams and get all credits are tough. some suffers from mental desease when they realize they wouldn't get enough credits.
