God bless you and God bless anyone reading this! Hope you have an awesome day! Seek him while you can! Jesus is the way and the only way and he is returning soon! Whenever you think you aren't loved... Remember the ultimate sacrifice was for love! ENDING YOUR LIFE IS NEVER THE ANSWER!

      John 3:16 KJV
The wages of sin is death (hell) but Jesus paid our debt on the cross, for our salvation! We must turn to God and away from our sinful ways, Confess Jesus is Lord and believe with our hearts that he was risen from the dead by God, and we must be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit and live by His word and Commandments! Trust that God will help with the rest!
Seek God today before it's too late! Today could be your last day on earth!

Mandolin slicers are kinda spooky even when everything is working as intended. One slip and you start slicing and dicing a finger.

      @Rowgue51 2 роки тому +8

      @@lifenstein
Yes even without having read the instructions he's clearly starting it upside down. It's clearly meant to be used with the flat part of the mold on top just to start the pancakes cooking on the one side. Then you pull the mold off before flipping them. I get that some people find his bumbling entertaining, but if you're going to purport to "test" a product you should at least be using it the way it's intended.
I don't really see the advantage in using that thing over just pouring less batter to make smaller pancakes though. Unless you're really intent on getting every pancake precisely the same size and in a perfect circle shape.

But it has helped me reduce grocery costs because tons of small cakes tricks the mind into thinking there's more food than there actually is. FYI, it can also be used for eggs, corn bread, and i just recently learned what a "meal cake" is. (Basically just malt-o-meal based cakes). They are awesome if you season them right.

On the pancake mold, I'm pretty sure you had it upside down at first. I'm pretty sure it's made to just create a ring. Once the bottom has started to cook and firm up, you remove the mold from the to and flip the pancake with a spatula. Also, I imagine it's know effective if you spray down the inside of your mold with oil so that it doesn't stick to the pancake as much. Still a pretty useless product though.

I have that silicone pancake thing. There is a learning curve for sure but there are some things you can do to make it work better. I use mine to make gluten free pancakes with fruit and veggies puréed because I have an autistic child that is super picky but likes these size pancakes. So I put my batter in one of those smoothie bottles so that it’s easier to pour, second use a pan that big enough to fit the mat in it, after then pan is heated from the medium setting I turn it down somewhere in the low range but not simmer. Make sure you have greased the mat, fill but don’t over fill you can jiggle the pan lightly to move the batter if needed and then put a lid on it so when the pancakes are ready to be turned it will just be to brown the tops a little.

21:35 Best way to come out with Microwaveable Scramble eggs that taste just as good as on the stove and not rubbery:
Take a coffee mug, melt butter inside (not much, just enough for the mug, no bigger then 1-2 tbsp if you want to go big on the butter flavor, but I suggest keeping it under 1 in my opinion... again it depends on the mug size). Over sink or bowl tilt the mug back and forth while turning it to cover the sides to the top with the butter. Make sure the mug on the inside is throughly covered. (IT'S okay if the butter spills out, besides being there for flavor its acting as your non stick ingredien... So you want it to get to the tippy top/rim of the mug, which may result in some falling out. Try to keep it level as you still want some butter at the bottom for cooking and mixing eggs for flavor reasons)
Next (I suggest seperate bowl just to make sure you can take care of any stray shell beforehand) Crack eggs suggestion 2) into mug.
Mix the eggs (2) with a knife or chopstick till they are well mixed together.
Add any salt and pepper you want pretty cooking (this step could instead be done in the mixing during cooking step if prefered).
Next put eggs in the microwave for 45 sec- 1 minute. (They egg mixture will rise to the top, which is why you want the butter having covered the entire inside to the rim).
After this, be careful the mig will be hot, use a folded up mug or towel to grab the mug.
Take a fork and mix the egg mixture again till the pieces are as you like. It's okay if theres liquid ontop of the eggs, this will be taken care of in the next step. (If you didn't add salt &/or pepper now is the time to do so).
Put the mixed eggs back in the microwave, cook for 45 seconds (no more then 1 minute)
Again with caution take the mug out of the microwave. I suggest a towel or folded paperwork, to avoid burning.
Next, again mix the eggs (as they most likely melded together again, the whole breaking up part was to keep them moist from hardening and to move the still liquified eggs so they could get cooked in the second part).
If you want to put more salt after cooking, you can do so now.
Dump out the contents onto a plate (my siggestion) or keep them in the mug and enjoy.
    **cleaning tip***
Soon as the eggs are out of the mug, I highly suggest running the mug under warm soapy HOT water immediately and sitting it in n there to break up the hard pieces of egg that have stuck to the side and cleaning sometime immediately after its sat for a moment. Otherwise it's a pain to clean later. Trust me m, it's not worth it ignoring this step.
Hope that helps, I grew up with a mom who taught herself as a kid how to make good eggs in the microwave, sometimes when neither of us feel like dirtying a pan this is her method and its just as easy as it is on the stove. Literally can make it right now with a blind fold on.
Though I admit it took me a while to get the hang if it and how to make it just right without it being rubbery. So I won't sayit's easy, as though it seems that way you have to get an idea of the microwave you have and just do it enough to realize if you need to stop sooner orneed more time. These Re the general directions that I recall that I use to help me make it. But it may very depending.,

You do realise you can actually make scrambled eggs in a microwave anyway in just a bowl? Put eggs and some milk/seasoning into a bowl, mix it up and put it in the microwave, keep taking it out to mix it and once it's scrambled eggs it's done. It's simple and it's quicker (and tastes the same to me) than using a pan! I always make them this way and never had any issues.

i feel like the silicone mold, would work better if you turned it on the other side.
it also makes more sense to me to use it this way, as the batter will cook and harden up on contact with the grill, and then the lips will help contain the dough while cooking and then when u turn it over and cook the other side u can pop em out easily, i bet :P

That incredibly cheap mandolin (that's an accident waiting to happen without a finger guard) probably needs rinsed every so often to stop the starch from causing the spud to stick to the blade. Even a decent quality mandolin should come with a lot of warnings about the risk to fingers or hands.
Round pancakes? Use a ladle! All that red thing was doing was stopping them from spreading out and an egg ring would do the job just fine.
Not seasoning the scrambled egg will make it taste of nothing but rubberised egg.
