haha i was reading this and thought.... brave?? but then i read on to see the TW reference and then then comment makes sense! It is def a difficult pattern but i have to admit i love a challenge now and then! Happy New years to you and your family as well :)
That was a great video Arica. So cool to see the projects you have underway and the progress on each, each hour. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to seeing more in 2025! 🎉
Hi Arica! Thank you for a wonderful video again! I am so amazed at how much work you have put into giving us such wonderful videos over the holiday's I've apreciated every single one! What a fun way to do your NYEcountdown, all of these WIPS look like so much fun to stitch! I hope you are enjoying the new year so far, take care and can't wait till your next video! 😆💜
You’re so sweet! I’m glad you’re enjoying the new year! While its a lot of work its also a lot of fun :) I am ready for a quite break in January though lol. More time to stitch ;)
Thank you for connecting with me Jackie! I cannot wait to dive into the new kits, they look so luxurious and unlike anything i have ever stitched before :)
You are so delightful to watch and listen too. You have a very calming voice and tone. I love all your projects and you enabled me to buy the quaint Rose Needle Art pattern using 2 fabrics. Love!
OH wow i am so excited for you! It is truly such a wonderul pattern. I have been working on it again this week and i cannot put it down! It is really a lot of fun!
Fantastic video, Arica!! Thanks for all your explanations of some your projects. It is so nice to know what to expect on the more difficult ones. Have a wonderful beginning to 2025, I hope you are blessed in all that you do. Looking forward to seeing you next time.
@FibersandFlossCanada it's a piece from a Mary Engelbreit cross-stitch book that I started and never finished. I'm not sure why it never got completed, but I don't think it ever will.
Took me a while to find time to watch your video this time but I finally managed. That was a good idea for a New Year's video and it was wonderful to watch it. I assume it was a quite tiresome one to make but fun for us 😜 It was really fun to see all those beautiful projects and the progress you could have on them in an hour ⏳ Thank you for the great video Arica, Happy New Year with lots and lots of stitching/crafting and looking forward to your next one 😍🧵🪡
Thank you so much! I like to try to do something a little different from everyone else so it makes me happy to hear you enjoyed it. A late, but very Happy New Years to you!
WELCOME! Happy to have you here with me :) I so love the Netherlands and wish to travel back there again soon! Thank you for choosing to spend some time with me. Happy stitching!
I love that you're stitching along with me! I love Inspired By Nature, it's so beautiful. I also pulled it out today and put another 500 into it and I could easily stitch on it all week!! The colors are perfect!🤩
I'm amazed that Spring Angel is also my oldest project and I too started it in the early 90's. It is also on my list to finish in 2025. I am about the same place you are when you finished your 1 hr stitch. Maybe we'll finish the same time. Good Luck see you at the finish line. Pennie from Ontario
A very fun video to follow. As you had fun with your projects I stitched along on your Christmas Gathering. Now working the house. I have made a number of errors but am not stressed about it. I work in retail and these past weeks are the most challenging of the year. I have been using this project as my de-stresser and it has worked. I only have 2 current x-stitch projects and one ancient needlepoint. Mostly I knit or quilt. This is a lovely diversion. Thanks so much for your encouragement.
What a lovely flosstube. That must have taken a lot of preparation. Thank you for that. Love your projects, especially your new start. Greetings from the Netherlands and a Happy New Year 🎉
I have all of the garden club series. I would love to give them to you! I’m just finishing up #11 and should have #12 done by mid January. Would you like them? Let me know!
Thank you so much for your generous offer Louann! And thank you so much for taking the time to connect with me, it is very appreciated :) Happy Stitching my friend!
You freehanded that cute little reindeer ornament?! Incredible! She's so cute! You definitely should do a pattern for that to sell! You're so talented!
I love your flosstube videos, so professional but still friendly and easy to watch. You've inspired me to work on some neglected wip's today 😊 I ordered the bride and groom mice by Just Nan and am looking forward to starting those soon! Wishing you and yours a great 2025!
I guess your family was on high alert to leave you be all day! I got tired just watching you, but I guess you’re used to staying up for 16 hours at a pop! The projects look terrific! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Arica! I hope you and your family share a spectacular 2025! You have such amazing projects going…you have inspired me to review my WIP’s and try to come up with some plans of my own.
Oh I am so jealous of your snow day! That is the only thing about living in Vancouver, no snow. Tons and tons of rain and grey skies :( I hope you enjoy your snow a little extra for me :)
I know what you mean - Teresa Wentzler designs are just amazing! But it takes a different kind of brain power. I did a video just on TW projects and if you haven’t seen it you should. Stitching is A LOT quicker when you leave your needles loaded with the flosses…. I think I bought 100 needles for the peacock. When I’m set up to stitch seriously for 4-5 days I have all the needles loaded and it’s much quicker. Still slow but maybe 100-125 stitches an hour?
Haha I actually have been prioritizing my sleep for the last year. I used to stay up to 2am easy to stitch. Now I’m asleep by 10:30/11! Happy New Year Noel :)
@ That I’d so good that you are prioritizing sleep. You just did the twelve days and this on top of it. I can imagine it is loads of work. Happy new year to you too!
Hi Arica Happy New Year 🎉 Karen Combs Studio has a floss tube on how she expanded her book of days. She added pages and had it spiral bound. Thinking of doing that with mine. This is my first time using a planner/tracker for stitching
Happy New Years to you as well. Yes I’ve seen that. You have to be mindful as you end up losing about 1/2 and inch on the inside of the book when converting to a spiral binding. If a book is made for spiral binding there’s larger margins to account for that loss… that’s the only reason why I haven’t tried that… I do really love my book of days tho and I hope you enjoy yours this year too!!
Thats awesome! I really need to get back to my dragon full time! I know there is no way I can finish it now for the end of the year but I need to make a good dent in it! Happy New Years!
Happy New Year Arica 🎊! Before going forward to enjoy the full video I wanted to ask…I was not able to get your pattern to print with the link you provided in the holiday videos. I’m not sure why. Are you selling it anywhere and then I can get it another way? Thank you! Now, time to stitch and enjoy the video 😁
Ummmm.... pardon me.... did you just say 300 stitches in one hour? I'm gonna have to call the fire department because your needle is surely on fire! I'm jealous, so many beautiful projects!
That’s best case scenario usually no color changes and easy stitching where there not a lot of counting. On average it’s more like 250. But if I’m doing a TW it can be only 60-150 per hour depending on color changes and if I have the blends on needles ready to go… thanks for tuning in :)
Happy New year Arica! I really love the way you do your New year videos and your 12 days was very fun to follow along with and participate in what I could.❤
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It means a lot to me to know that you followed along an participated where you could. I hope they helped build the festive spirit in your heart :)
Thank you for the video it was great to see you working through all your projects. Happy New Year to you 🥳
Happy New Year to you too! I hope you have a wonderful year filled with stitching!
You are such a joy to watch and you are very brave too. The Teresa Wentzler projects look crazy hard. Take care and happy 2025 to you and your family.
haha i was reading this and thought.... brave?? but then i read on to see the TW reference and then then comment makes sense! It is def a difficult pattern but i have to admit i love a challenge now and then! Happy New years to you and your family as well :)

Haha! What is your 30 year old WIP??

I love that you're stitching along with me! I love Inspired By Nature, it's so beautiful. I also pulled it out today and put another 500 into it and I could easily stitch on it all week!! The colors are perfect!🤩

Thank you Linda. Happy New Years!

I finally got Queen of Freedom, was in mail yesterday. I had to pay a pretty penny for her.
Wow!! You better prioritize stitching that beauty asap!
I loooove the Newcastle biscornu. I need to stitch that one.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I think it’s a really great pattern and hope you enjoy stitching it!
Beautiful projects! The last Chatelaine was my favorite! So fun! One of my goals is to share on instagram more this year 😊
It is so rewarding to share our stitching with others! I hope you are able to achieve your goal!
@ yes it is! Already had a great start! 🥰😁
This was so satisfying and fun to watch while stitching on a snow day. Happy new year!

I've never seen those ribbons kits thanks for sharing looks so lovely! Happy new year
Me neither! I’m excited to give them a go esp the larger spring flower one! Thanks for tuning in :)
I loved hearing your thoughts on Teresa wentzler! I spent my day working on the fruit bell pull. It’s insane how slowly it goes!
I know what you mean - Teresa Wentzler designs are just amazing! But it takes a different kind of brain power. I did a video just on TW projects and if you haven’t seen it you should. I totally need to get my wips down this year!!
Oh boy! I think we are all in this same boat!
Okay, I so do not think that you sleep at all. Thank you for so much amazing content. I’ll enjoy the rest of this tonight to celebrate the new year
Haha I actually have been prioritizing my sleep for the last year. I used to stay up to 2am easy to stitch. Now I’m asleep by 10:30/11! Happy New Year Noel :)

I was worried about that when I was looking at my book this morning, losing space to get the spiral I may just go with the book as is for my first go
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you too!
Happy New Year! I worked on my Year of the Dragon SAL while I watched. I'm trying to stitch from stash this year
Thats awesome! I really need to get back to my dragon full time! I know there is no way I can finish it now for the end of the year but I need to make a good dent in it! Happy New Years!
