@Mary Carroll I live in the okanagan in British Columbia and I have felt numerous tremors in the past year while out hiking so I think something has been suring up
@Mary Carroll I literally live in Coos Bay which is right in line with these. I am in a second story building and have have hanging lights which would be very sensitive to a quake… not one of these have caused any shaking on land, you are spreading lies. Also you are inland in central Oregon! Which is not even close whatsoever to the coast!

Agreed. And the Juan de Fuca fault is supposedly overdue. The San Andreas fault is a strike slip fault good for the 7.0 quakes. The Juan de Fuca is a megathrust fault. The kind that produces the 8-9 quakes. I hope these little quakes don't set off the big one.

Okay so 3mag upper ye says and there was also 2 magnitude 5.8s in that area btw the total is now 53 quakes or Oregon.

@Mary Carroll Interesting …to many earthquakes not to have something in the Cascade chain happening. Since the clusters are so close it’s almost like something is pushing up instead of sliding past each other.
The Pacific plate is pushing/sliding on that little plate... I forgot the name.. Juan something.... into the North American plate creating that subduction zone as Juan plate is forced under the NA plate and melts into the mantle creating new lava for the cascade range. So makes sense if Volcanoes like Shasta, Hood or Rainier rumble a bit. Stay safe!
@@theslayer8071 Juan de Fuca is the plate name. Not sure if that is.a subduction zone in the area of the mass earthquakes or a strike plate. Closer in at the Cascadia Fault line is definitely a subduction area. The eventual cause of an 8+ Earthquake.
@@fredfleming8905 the subduction zone is along the coast. The area where the swarm is located is roughly the same area as the 2008 swarm. OSU sent a research vessel and there are some interesting articles on it. If I'm remembering correctly, that swarm lasted 9 or 10 days.

I'm getting the idea a volcano is forming close ,and if it's like 2011 Japan , take heed. The volcano came just after the two around that part of world...not far apart. Something about st Helens being dormant, but was acting up few yrs back. Just stay alert, with a emergency pack and back up plans ...idk at this point but so minds eye it in that way.
There was over 100 earthquakes and they all ranged from Magnituee 4 to 6. Get better reporting

250 miles away is far for 3.4 magnitude earthquake. If it were 50 miles or closer than you can feel the earthquake. Also where there's an earthquake 250 miles away is the same place where a volcano is creating a new island. It will take years to see the new island. But I would be concerned if these 3. Magnitude earthquakes are multiplying in the same day may cause a tsunami but as huge as Japan's in 2011. BTW not really concerning too much.
They are hitting The fault lines. It does not matter if they are closer to shore. The Cascadian Subduction zones is OFF THE COAST and could trigger a big snapping eq! You better wake up.
