She and travis in that moment is like that meme with elsa and anna where elsa watch in terror and anna in excitement and travis is elsa and laura is anna
I'm really excited for Vox Machina animated, but I actually think the Nein would be even more fun animated. Seeing giant Yasha and pint sized Veth doing these scenes would be so amazing.
I know I'm a year later to your comment but I feel the same way. We'll kinda get a similar vibe with the whole Pike and Grog height difference but damn Yasha and Veth would be sooooo hilarious to see!
Thank you for including Veth (or really on that one probably just Sam) trolling Beau and Yasha! Those parts were hilarious! :) Also I do find it interesting that they want to keep their future date a secret!
I love that caduceus could hear them. They main similarity between him and Molly is how mischievously he can learn information and let those included know without exposing them. He's the party's little brother
Just when you expect sam to be a gentleman he trolled ashley and marisha so good and still won in the end with a simple goodnight master troll indeed well done 😂
That's why I don't read Twitch chat. I stick with the discord. And Sam??? A homophobe??? The same Sam who gave us Scanlan Shorthalt during Campaign 1? Who would sleep with anyone who wanted to? And got tricked into drinking a love potion and falling for Percy, and proceeded to give us one of THE most hilarious scenes of said campaign? DURING A LIVE SHOW?? These people don't understand the right kind of humor to be watching this show.
The comedic chemistry between Sam and Marisha is top notch. For example, Marisha keeping straight faced after "goodnight Bo". And the timing of the lines...
Contrary to probably what a lot of people think, I absolutely love what Sam is doing. It's goofy and funny and I know he won't go to extremes to actually "ruin" anything like people are saying
Travis's face when Marisha says "There's no bars" (I think he was thinking kinky! 😂) And when they start talking about farts 😂😂 6:50 why does Sam have a t-shirt with kid Ashley's face on it? 🤔
I think Sam started off with wearing shirts with embarrassing/awkward pictures of Matt's face on them and that evolved into including the rest of the cast in campaign 2. I think he tries to go with old pictures he thinks will embarrass them the most 😂
I totally get where your coming from but I wouldn't worry too much honestly. To me that bit felt like 2 people who didn't wanna put pressure on the date ya know? and them both being honest with each other that if it don't work out no hard feelings least they tried it. But I think it will work out they clearly are in love with each other and I think them spending time together alone without any fuss from anyone will bring that to the forefront and I'm highly optimistic that they may finally kiss at the date as well. So try not to worry too much about that part I think this is all apart of the slowburn and taking things slow like a lot of people in real life do.
I'm really into it actually! I think this is coming from a combination place of “I still think I might be misreading the situation and actually really like this person way more than they might like me and still want to give them an out, just in case” and also “I cherish our relationship so much that I don’t want anything to ruin it, including moving into a romantic relationship which is something I want very much.” It’s a very grown up way to approach a new relationship, especially one with so much build up and expectation, and it opens the door for them to be totally honest about how they’re feeling from the get-go.
@@kbeee yeah I totally agree I feel like the date itself will allow Yasha and Beau to be in a safe place where they can be totally honest with each other and not feel awkward about it. I also think them telling each other that they like each other also helps because they at least know that to some extent their feelings are reciprocated, and don't have to go into the date wondering if it was a bad idea. I really think the date will be the beginning of their romantic relationship or I at least hope so I absolutely love these two and I'm just desperate to see them together!
I will never forgive Sam if he injects Veth into this date. I stg. I waited 3 years and 120 episodes for this and I will not be okay if Sam Reigel interrupts Beau and Yasha's character development it for a gag. 😓 I love him and his humor but I feel like that would be pushing it a little far.
Nah, I don't think he will. He loves to troll but never to the point of ruining or messing with other real character moments. I think he was just messing with them for being so secretive.
He won't get the chance. Beau saw right through Veth's lies. AND she knows Yasha's already invested in their date plans. Therefore, she's not buying any of what Veth suggested. Besides, Laura would shut Sam down without a second thought. She also doesn't want their moment ruined.
wouldnt worry too much, sam likes to spice his characters but we aretalking about the same guy that made the last wish of scanlan such a memorable thing, he knows his moments so letsjust njoy th ride, although itcame a littledisruptive of th moment manypeopl werewaiting for, I think it was just sam trying to bringthat element of randomness that (IRL somtimes happen) when you really want to do something you are hoping for, kinda thing. also I think caduceus knowing could make tal help out a bit if it feels too disrupting in the end, so baically lets have some hope for next yearon this great group that has brought us 200+ episodes that we all enjoy
how many times will twitch viewers put critical role spoilers with no warning on youtube for easy views before the episodes go live on youtube? this is the second time in a week that tis happened to me. Last week i got fjorester becoming cannon spoiled by people blatantly putting these spoilers in the titles of their youtube videos. It's incredibly frustrating when this happens and it's a rampant problem with the CR fandom. If the episode isn't live on youtube, don't put the clips on youtube, simple as. @@HarmonicHewell okay, so let me clear it for you, they don't "get together" in this episode. And if we're on the topic of what's "not fun", you say you saw these spoilers somewhere else, yet you take the time to post the negativity you feel on this video specifically. The person who uploaded it worked on it for us to have this, for free. All you do by targeting them with your criticism is making something that should be a positive thing into more arguing. Sam taking the piss out of the awkward romance "Beauyasha's" 5-10 minute word fumbling is the only redeeming part to these bits. I'm sure I'm pissing off the LGBTQ crowd with this comment, but I found the whole vax/keyleth dynamic just as boring, if it makes ya feel better. I really hope campaign 3 tones down the romance - deadpan acting and expressionless faces are just painful to watch.
This comment section needs a bit of drama, so let me contribute with a controversial opinion. I don't feel the chemistry between Yasha and Beau, or at least the way it's played feels off to me. I can totally get behind the nervous and vulnerable approach, I've lived it myself, but they feel like they can't even get a real conversation on board. And it should be obvious that something is going on between them, so them acting like one wrong step would make the other hate them feels unearned. And sometimes it feels like they only love each other because it was planned by the players and because they are the two lesbians of the Nein, not because the characters actually appreciate any of the other's qualities. It just feels unnecessarily awkward because awkward is fun/adorable. And unrelated, what is it about Icilcroast (Totally misspelled) that is so romantic that both primary pairings are sprouting now. :D
As you may guess, I have a lot of feelings on this subject! Not every ship is relatable to everyone, so you might never get it and that's cool. I have a few things to say in response to some of the points you bring up so please standby for a novel length reply. So, about not being able to have a conversation. This to me ultimately stems from both not being sure if they’re on the same page about their feelings, having different communication styles, and also sometimes you have a crush on someone and you get real dumb around them and it makes holding a conversation difficult. ESPECIALLY if you’re gay, in my experience (it's the fear of serious consequences if you show interest in the wrong person but that's a whole other subject for another time.) Since they’ve largely missed each other w/r/t feelings in the past, (starting off with Beau having a silly flirtationship with Yasha that wasn’t returned, then finding out she had a wife and making her entirely back off, and then Yasha starting to return those feelings before getting taken by Obann and Beau developing a strong crush on Jester, then Yasha coming back to them and beginning to heal and grow and moving more into a place where she could recognize and accept her feelings for Beau etc. etc.) I think they’re a bit nervous to test the waters and say how they feel because they might be misreading things yet again, and now with more at stake because they're willing to give it a real try. Plus they’ve both been through so much shit they’re probably afraid of getting hurt again. In response to thinking they shouldn’t be afraid one wrong move will make the other hate them, it’s important to remember a big part of both of their characters is a STRONG streak of self loathing. Yasha has a history of thinking of herself as a freak or someone monstrous (I believe she’s expanded on this on a few Talks episodes, saying how even before she met the Nein she didn’t know what she was and why she had all this weird fallen Aasimar stuff going on with her, and was sort of ashamed of her necrotic shroud and so she leaned into it being frightening to people.) She’s done terrible things before Obann and also under his control, as well as blaming herself for her wife’s death and thinking she’s a coward for running away, so all of this adds to probably not considering herself someone that a person wants to be with or love. So she’s afraid to make any kind of move or outright say that she has feelings because she thinks Beau might be totally put off by her or freaked out by her feelings. Which is a Big Queer Mood, personally. To an extent she doesn’t even fully think she deserves to be alive (which she talks about when they’ve just saved her from Obann,) let alone to find love or accept love from anyone again. PLUS you have Beau who is trying to work through feeling like everyone's lives would be better without her in it (as she shows when she's willing to give herself up to the hag in order to break Nott's curse). So you might say they've got some issues around accepting love. As for the romance only being planned by the players, I can’t say one way or another but I will point out that in the last Talks episode Ashley said that she, like Travis, never wanted to be the “romance guy” in D&D and was reluctant to make any romance moves, but as time went on it felt like a natural progression for the characters. I think at first Marisha was leaning into her “disaster gay” character by crushing on the big giant barbarian lady but never thought it would be more than just silly flirting. Marisha also recently said on Talks that Beau has only just come around to the idea of letting herself be happy so it doesn't feel like a master plan (but also it personally doesn’t bother me if it was just cooked up by the players because I really dig it.) I’m not sure what to say about Beau and Yasha not really appreciating the others’ qualities other than to say I think we’ve taken away very different things from watching this campaign? I mean, Yasha goes on in her letter about all the things she likes about Beau which are all the qualities she’s been quietly appreciating from afar. I think they've definitely leaned into the awkwardness between them for comedic purposes, which I personally LOVE, but it does also track with the characters. Beau being tongue-tied around her cool hot goth barbarian friend and Yasha with her 7 charisma score who isn't big with using her words to communicate in the first place. Personally I absolutely love the dynamic, and as a person who is also totally flustered around my hot friends I relate to it on a deep level. Anyway, all this to say I think they’re both at a place now where they are, to paraphrase Marisha, “coming out of a haze of self loathing” and willing to try this thing because it could make them happy. I don't know your gender or sexuality, but I can say as a queer lady everything about this ship resonates so much to me based on my personal experiences, and because of that is VERY important to me and a lot of other people, but it might not feel the same to you. There are some CR ships I personally don't really understand and that's okay too. So long as no one is hurting anyone else it's all gravy.
@@kbeee I guess I'll try to respond without writing a novel. First of, as noted in my comment, I totally get having a hard time putting feelings into words towards someone you like. I've tried to tell someone how I felt, and then had a full minute where I could barely muster a sentence. But it feels like they are both playing a caricature of that, a cartoonish version, and probably intentionally for comedic purposes. Which is fine, but that in turn will make it feel less real. And I get why they, especially Yasha, would be like that, it just feels forced, particularly since both of them have shown clear interest. And they are both know that the other is gay, so the idea that the other would think differently of them doesn't apply in this instance. Also, homophobia doesn't seem to exist in Exandria. But yeah, making it comedically awkward just makes them feel less like people in love and more like a sketch or a show.
@@RasmusVJS I mean I can see where you're coming from, they definitely play the comedy of it up, but it doesn't particularly bother me too much or take away from the sentiment behind it. I think this is just a case of "not your thing" and that's totally cool.

I’m not sure what to say about Beau and Yasha not really appreciating the others’ qualities other than to say I think we’ve taken away very different things from watching this campaign?
@@RasmusVJS maybe you're just not smart enough to get it
