"Statorade" is the best stuff Bruce. Funnily enough mine should be arriving today, as I ordered some about 5 days ago from eBay UK. Helps draw out excess heat, and also heatsinks are used with thermal paste to go around the centre of the outer hub motors casing, basically they are fins that allow for more cooling 🚲⚡👍
@@IMBruceECLECTIC I'd get some Statorade and put it in both motors, especially if they're getting extremely hot - watch some vids on here about ferro-fluid and how it helps your motor run cooler, the cooler your motor runs, the better your torque and performance will be. Lol, my dad's just txt me saying, "Hi, your oil's arrived." So, tommorow I'll be putting it in my motor (at my folks house, in their massive basement that has all the tools and space to work in). Also bought some sealant, for the motors cover to waterproof it when it goes back on, and some loctite for the 8 Alan key bolts that hold the motors casing on...If you're gunna do a job, you might as well do it right eh? 🚲⚡👍
Wow Alex, You and your friends were really lucky when you crashed the car, I mean, flipping a convertible and walking away relatively unscathed is super lucky!!
Our disasters in Wyoming, extreme cold in winter at times, lots of snow. Summer it’s fires. Then there’s the super volcano 200 miles to west. If that blows everyone is screwed anyway 😂
I had a couple friends like you when I was younger. One rolled his car on the side the other jumped the median and landed on the roof. I was a passenger in both of those lol. After the second time my parents decided it was time to get me my own car so I didn’t have to hitch rides with my crazy friends anymore lol.
The controller maxes out at 100 amps and draws that from the two batteries. Top battery provides 33amps, bottom 66. They have more to give but that's the max of the controller and idk if the motor could handle more. Phase amps max is 250a.
I did all the laboring, but if you were to but if all you want to do is get the second battery and controller you're looking at an extra 1900 or somewhere around there so it's not cheap. Like I said in the video, if you want similar power and less work you could also sell the tank battery, and get yourself two 72v batteries, along with a shunt mod of the controller. It will bump the power up from 3150 to 4320 and you'll get more top speed. That would be the easiest approach.
Stock front fork and the 350lbs spring from goat bikes website, which I think comes stoxk on their bikes now, might be the 450. Before it was 550 which was too stiff for my weight
I don't like regen. Makes the bike more difficult to peddle. That makes it hard when out of power. With a cadence sensor that cuts the power at a certain speed, it makes it difficult to peddle faster than the peddle assist setting.
Why would regen make the bike harder to pedal? Why would you use the bike when it's not powered on? Pedaling for this bike is more of a backup system, not a main feature.
@maximumchargeEV regen braking is the opposite of power. For a motor to produce 250W of electricity, it needs to have 250W of resistance. It's the opposite of running 250W of power.
@@ecocentrichomestead6783 I'm aware of that but why would you turn regen on while pedaling it forward? I only keep it on when breaking or coasting down a hill.
@@maximumchargeEV It might be just my bike. Because of where I live, I had to mail order one. I went by the style and trusted the advertised specs were true. It said regen would only kick in when the brake was applied. But I can feel it kick in whenever my speed gets above the set PAS speed. Turn it to PAS 0 and it feels like I'm peddling uphill even on level ground. Also, I set the PAS so I can out peddle the motor on level ground but feel the resistance from the motor when I try to do so.
@ecocentrichomestead6783 must be something in the settings, or a new controller would help you get some new and better settings you know? Hope you figure it out friend.
I hear ya, but that would still be sold at a loss, and you would spend time building abother bike, which is also a loss of time you know? I get what you're saying though. I think the best way to go is to just buy a frame and all the parts you need.
How are you going to continue to pretend as if a lot of these more average e-bikes are still enjoyable and/or surprising to you when you're reviewing them from now on, considering that you just purchased an alta sigma 96v emoto? I mean, let's be honest, imagine if you were one of your channels subscribers, and a couple months from now, you notice that maximum charges UA-cam channel just sent you a notification about a review that he just uploaded. So, you click the notification and the UA-cam video begins playing, and all it is is some random run-of-the-mill 500w or 750w low end, super low budget chinese ebikes from some brand you can't even pronounce, and it's apparent without clicking play that it's another Chinese bike that at least 4 or 5 others budget chinese ebikes brands sell already, but of course with their own branding or some sh*t! Now, you know damn good and well that maximum charge is n't interested in this bike, and he's trying to actually sound like he's giving the bike and brand a fair shot, but the dude owns an e-moto that's a whopping 96v and extremely fast, and maximum charge is, actually trying to sell his audience on his BS excitement about getting to review some outdated 48v e-bike that's going 28 mph and Even has the goddamned nerve to attempt to tell his audience that the bike is a legit good deal at $1,000, and actually says this with a straight face!! No but seriously, I guess these are the kinds of things that I think about! I think about how much it would restrict a person from being able to review (or continue to review) and/or enjoy a certain level of e-bikes, when currently those bikes are really your bread and butter! I would personally imagine that getting an e-moto like the Alta sigma, which is a couple years more advanced than anything you're going to review next year might genuinely stunt your ability to review a majority of what will definitely be offered up to you for you to review, at least for sometime into the future that is!!
Even after fine dining, I can still eat and enjoy a good hot dog, if its priced like a hot dog. It's called being objective my friend. Regardless I'm kind of staying away from the boring stuff from now on unless It's a good value.

Do you know if there a better throttle that works with the stock controller? The one on the v3 seems cheap and not so subtle.
I would say make sure it's 5 pin and go from there.
Thanks for the vid. You mention 100 amps, is that battery amps? It would be really helpful to know what the phase amps it is set for.

How much did your custom seat cost you? You didn't comment too much about it. Is it worth the extra cost?
Around 225. It was comfortable for the whole ride!
Have you been worried that the shunt mod would burn out the engine or controller, especially when riding full throttle up large long hills?
Shunt mod was for the old, original controller.
@@maximumchargeEV ah so you didn't test it extensively in terms of range and long hill climbs?
@Guitarman007 nope definitely no extensive testing. However, my buddy Bruce over at imbruceeclectic did
