- A short trailer to get an overview of my cycling trip from Algiers to Tamanrasset.
More than 3000 kilometers cycled alone from the North to the South of Algeria, through mountains, rivers, bad weather and the great Sahara desert. This was my first long cycling journey and I almost never ride a bicycle so it was a really difficult trip but also really fun and enjoyable.

hi, can I get to Tamanrasset by motorbike without the policy preventing me?
You are free to go, but from what I heard foreign tourists must have a police escort with them, I'm an Algerian citizen so I did not need an escort. When I arrived at some police/military checkpoint in the Sahara they thought I was a foreign tourist and told me I needed an escort to continue, but when they found out I have an Algerian ID they did let me continue alone. The reality is that there is absolutely no any need of escort, I can say for sure that Algeria is one of the safest country in the world currently.
@@Justfilmingwhatlifethrowsatme why then do I necessarily want to escort tourists? I know that since 2014 the government has abolished escorting for tourists!
@@lessandro78 That's what the police checkpoint told me, but you should try it yourself and ask the local authorities when you arrive in Algeria.

@@lessandro78 For the far South you must visit the area of Tamanrasset, especially Assekrem, and as well the area of Djanet, the Tadrart Rouge and the Plateau of Tassili with its thousand cave paintings its just unbelievable, you can watch my videos about it.
