This lake definitely needed more attention paying to the lakebed but ultimately over time it will die off and come away. It’ll be snaggy for a long time but like you said there’s many options besides just leaving it.
Yes mate, once the water has settled and all maintenance requirements are out the way, the C&RT are hoping to stick it with silvers first. It’s the best option for the lakebed and then Carp will be introduced later.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've said bugger the anglers, in favour of the wild swimming bunch.

Should’ve got the romans in they were better at civil engineering,and probably cheaper
There are plenty of other works going on that require the style of bricks
Believe the wavewall sections will be off to Todbrook and bricks to another res project starting 2025
