Sadly, after doing the pollination method using my paint brush, it rained very hard! Lol!
Letty Arbizo Hi my friend when you start the pollination in your desert roses you need to do this everyday until all the blooms fall down thank you Maria’s garden

Hello Maria. I live close to your area. Today 12?20 has been so wet and cold and I was wondering what you do with all your thousands of plants. Is it okay for them to be outside in so much rain for days? I have room to put my seedlings under cover but I don't have room for the larger plants. Love everything that I have learned from you xxx
Annette Stroups Hi my friend never worry about the rain any time is very hard to,explain but desert roses love the natural rain they know how much rain they need to storage in they trunk don’t try to protect from rain is all good they love the rain natural but they don’t like when you water them also they don’t like to much cold like anything below 30 40 degrees Maria’s garden 🐞🐞🐝🐝🐜🐛🐛🦗🦟🇺🇸
I am so excited, I just ordered a desert rose from you. A hot pink! I wanted to buy the donkeys ears too, but it would only let me put 1 thing in the cart. 🙁 I will go back in a place another order. Thank u Maria, love you & I can’t wait for my new baby💚

@@MariasgardenGarden Hi Maria. I tried several Lowes... in Tampa, Bradenton and Sarasota... and they don't carry the Pine Bark mini nuggets. I also called the number for Southern Ag and they say they don't carry the Just Natural soil conditioner pine bark... and that they don't carry any pine bark at all. Someone gave me a desert rose and I didn't know how to care for it... until I watched a number of your videos. Thanks for the education. Now all I have to do is find that pine bark. Any more suggestions?
Maria my friend, your latest changes, a lot of pine bark and peat moss instead of a potting mix high in perlite seem to indicate that desert roses love sour, low pH soil... pine bark and peat moss makes the soil lower in pH. Pine bark gives you a pH of 4-5 , thats very sour.
Pine bark is good to cover the soil if you dont want the weed to come through...its acidity kills it all. For how long are you now working with 80% pine bark as soil??? Or is the only criteria how good the water passes through? Or the sales of pine bark?
Hi my friend they’re many reason why is bad for the plant first the can close the drainage and the plant can root rot also they get root damage if you needed help with you plant I can help you how to fix the problem thank you maria’s garden

Hi Maria. Just wanted to share with you........ There are no Lowes in the entire Tampa area (I live 20 miles north) that carry the Mini Nuggets but Home Depot does. . Lowes does have the Sta Green Potting mix. Of course, no stores carry the Just Natural Soil Conditioner and no stores carry the Kellogg N'Rich product that someone once mentioned in a previous posting. I will be transplanting my 3 month old babies this winter and am looking for a "soil"mixture that you would recommend.. Lowes and H.D. have no recommendations. Also, we just had 5 inches of rain last week. What do you do since you said "no water" in the winter? Do you cover your "babies" in the winter when it get's below 50 degrees? 40 degrees?
Hello Maria! I'm from Southeast Michigan. I've had a desert rose for about three years. Tiny, maybe 6 inches tall. This is the 1st year I got a bloom. I love your videos and find them very helpful. I just re-potted mine to lift it up. Maybe I did it the wrong time of year? The thickest part at the bottom is a little soft. I used dry cactus soil with nitrogen. Otherwise she looks healthy. So maybe I will call her Maria! Also, is it possible to order one of your smaller desert rose?
