The sad thing is that Brenda will never know that Dylan was part of the "conspiracy". Okay, he didn't really have a choice. But he could have spoken honestly to Brenda about it. “My accounts are going to be blocked, your parents want me to convince you to go to Paris. Go ahead, it’s a good compromise, it will do us all good.” Dylan saw his advantage in the story: he couldn't stand daily life as a couple. Which is very understandable, but having hidden this manipulation from Brenda is a major mistake. For me, the end of their story is there even before the betrayal with Kelly.
great points. The writers were putting their relationship on the rocks early in Season 3 so people would blame Brenda and not Kelly for the betrayal. Brenda became the whiny girlfriend. Dylan, their friends all acted like it was not big deal. It was deliberate on the writers part.
Well Brenda did just land in Dylan’s door step without any warning or discussing the possibility of them living together first. I can understand Dylan being a little out, he wasn’t ready for that kind of commitment. A bit presumptuous of Brenda. But yes Dylan was a player, sneaky and manipulative. He was always playing Brenda and Kelly against each other.
My fondest memory of going to Paris is when I went with my wife and we went to the beach. I wore a stylish leopard speedo and she wore a stylish leopard bikini. Everyone thought we both looked pretty
Jim ultimately got what he wanted in the end. He sent Brenda to Paris and then Dylan got involved with Kelly while she was gone. I think he knew Dylan wouldn’t be able to stay faithful to Brenda the whole summer she was gone, and that would break them up, which is why he agreed with Cindy’s idea. When I first saw this episode I was ten so I didn’t realize how manipulative, conniving and controlling Jim was.
I remember hating Jim's guts in this episode because of how manipulative he was. He went to great lengths to hurt his daughter just to get his own way.
I think Brenda had also dropped enough hints about wishing she was going to Paris and how her parents wouldn’t have the money to send her. She wanted to go.
@@evas9735 Yeah, but I don't think Brenda's wanting to go to Paris was under the guise of being intentionally kept away from Dylan, as the trip was intended.
Brenda was right with this is so Beverly hills. And Dylan was right with we can't pretend to be married or we're gonna get divorced. And Cindy was right with she's the only daughter they will have in this lifetime. The only one who was wrong was as usual Jimbo
in reality they way Jim should have handled the Mexico fiasco was tell Brenda she needed to stay away from Dylan for the summer and he would revisit them getting back together.
It's always been kinda funny that Jim Walsh, who is CLEARLY a Jew, has two Scots-Irish Kids. Maybe Cindy had a SECRET, or maybe Jim knew, and raised them as his own, anyway.
No he is not. He is a role model and a provider and he is trying to make her daughter understand that’s there’s more to life than giving away your life to a guy
God Brenda and Dylan are sooo immature, and you want to stay home with Dylan instead of going to Paris?? What is wrong with you?? I never had anyone buy me a trip to Paris when I was sad, I had to work at a crappy job to pay for that. God these entitled people are making me annoyed.
Brenda and Dylan dont make sense as a couple, they are nothing alike and have absolutely nothing in common. He was much more like kelly, they did match
Opposites attract, right? And I know from experience that a relationship with someone that is exactly like you, mentally, becomes boring and too predictable 🤷♀️
Brenda and Dillon had chemistry and a real sweetness that was always there. Kelly seemed like the girl next door. Brenda was stunning. Dillon would look at Shan with that look of being totally smitten.
Brenda was unbearable. At the beginnig was my favourite role, slowly while the story was going on, I started to think she was spoiled and self- centered.
I never liked brenda. All these years later. I don't know why but I always thought dylan and Kelly were more suited because of their similar backgrounds and in the looks department. Brenda would have been better off with the Dean Cain character.
But Shan was the best actress and was so gorgeous. The writers loved her because she nailed her lines, word for word and acted scenes better than even the writers imagined. Aaron Spelling knew she was a truly great actress. No one else on the show had that ability.
Shannon's red dress, hair and makeup look flawless here. 😍❤
Shannen was so gorgeous here! Every episode she just got prettier and prettier somehow. She was the star. It’s a pity she had to leave the show.
@@moviefan4life166Yes! She was an icon! ❤️
Thanks for putting these clips up. I’m really enjoying the trip down memory lane
I love Brenda in this scene. Integrity, vibrant, and fully aware of the plot. It must be said that the mother lacked subtlety in her approach 🤣
Gosh i wish i had a mother like Cindy. 🥺💗💗💗
In a lot of scenes: it comes to my mind "pregnant test" but I am sure there are others.

It's not even sad. Dylan was tired of Brenda and family drama. They weren't getting along living together. He wanted a break.
@@prasad9002yes but when he's father died he needed Brenda and, her family not Kelly and her drug addict mother😅
@@JB-jp9gp He needed Walsh. Especially Brandon. It wasn't about only Brenda.

Hi love when Dylan calls Brenda “baby” - I just loved that.
Me too. They were my favorite couple.
Jim may be a Poindexter but he is a good provider for his family!!
jim was only like 35 in real life here...
Cindy got mad at Jim for the bibery
I remember this scene exactly, its been so long time ago..
Holy S im too old 😮
But Dylan cheated when she left. Brenda also met Rick…
Brenda noticed and reacts on seeing Dylan and Kelly walk away arm in arm when she leaves for Paris
Technically when Dylan was cheating with Kelly, Brenda was cheating with Rick.
Sea lo que sea Brenda y Dylan hacían una linda pareja ❤
