I remember when the fandom used to headcanon Deku hating Endeavor/trying to protect Shouto from him; it's quite wholesome that the opposite happened. Enji's the only one who understands his mumbling at Eminem speed bc he's a good listener, he called him "One Of Us" due to having a quirk so powerful it feels like a burden, he's a better teacher to him than All Might, & in ch. 290 Deku tells Dabi that the family business is _his_ business too bc Enji is his mentor. Plus Deku saying "How can he be so scary & *cute* at the same time!?" when Endeavor got sad Shouto didn't wanna sit next to him on the plane 😂. Same thing with Aizawa- fans made him hate Endeavor when they actually have good banter together, and Enji smiles at him when they realise they both have to take care of a bunch of "annoying" kids (that they secretly love). It's so cute.
@@Aspiring_starving_artist It's the OVA named Hawks: Soothe, which happens shortly after the 3rd movie. Basically, the kids deal with flight anxiety & Shouto gets mad that Endeavor arranged the plane seats so that they could sit together on the way home. Deku says that after Shouto tells Enji "Why do I have to sit next to you?? If this is some sort of joke, I'm not laughing." & he responds "...I-It's not gonna kill you or anything 🥺👉🏻👈🏻", lol.
People wanted them to hate Endeavor because *they* hated Endeavor (not without reason). It's the same reason that many people were upset at the prospect of Endeavor redeeming himself, or at least trying.
I like how, through his interactions with Deku, Endeavor is revealed to be a more caring person than at first thought. Deku is the primary reason that the Todoroki family is starting to heal. I also thought it was an interesting reveal into the mind of Endeavor. It showed what All Might symbolized to him. Not an idol, but a crutch that heros would grow too reliant on. From the beginning, his effort was to reach a strength like that by his own merits, and i think subconsciously it was in case All Might was ever put out of commission. Granted, his ambition and bitterness clouded that for a long time, but in his interactions with Deku he's reminded of his earlier self.
Honestly, yeah. These last couple seasons really make Endeavor go from a guy so obsessed with Number 1 to a guy who went a bit to hard on "The Ends justify the Means" and is now trying to atone for his actions
@@Voltron186 When Endeavor calls Midoriya "one of us", he is referring to the fact that both of them have quirks that put a serious strain on their bodies. One For All badly injures Deku for exceeding his body's capability and Endeavor is prone to overheating from excessive use of his quirk
Deku's secret quirk is Friendly Vibes. Unless you're the worst villain, you're likely to feel a LITTLE sympathy with the kid, whether because of his power, because of his resolve, or because of his kindness.
Most Strange thing is bakugou kept quite in front of todoroki sis unlike how he usually complains he isn't friend ,etc even in front of media....and only complaint when they started discussing sad subjects that will spoil the mood.....he also asked for her recipe and said" your sis will cry" when he discovered shoto can't even cut veggies properly

@@rosesweetcharlotte Given his Quirk is legit fire, he has to be. Fire can destroy things FAST and Enji needed to be sharp, otherwise he'd be nowhere near the level of hero he is. And even then his parenting was awful, no Quirk can fully erase those sins

Like, seriously. Deku becomes so. Damn. *Busted.* After training with Endeavor for so long. And worse, Endeavor was able to do more with Deku in mere weeks what All Might failed to over the course of a whole year.
Yeah, honestly, even though I don’t know Midoriya all too well, he seems like such a nice kid. Heck, even Endeavor seems to genuinely like him, which is a first. And then there’s Fuyumi who definitely likes him. And I agree with her. I’m so happy that he was there for Shoto when he needed him most. From what I know he basically saved Shoto and stood up to Endeavor when they first met. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had some influence on Endeavor re-evaluating his horrible life choices. In other words, this is a really awesome kid!
When Endeavor calls Midoriya "one of us", he is referring to the fact that both of them have quirks that put a serious strain on their bodies. One For All injures Deku for exceeding his body's capability and Endeavor is prone to overheating from excessive use of his quirk
Someone on quora very nicely explained that. First, people hate what they can relate too. I suppose it is hard not to hate an abusive father character, because many people experienced that. Same with grape boy - a lot of girls experienced sexual harassment. That's why they're gonna be drooling over Dabi - most people did not have anyone killed by a mental boy with daddy issues, so they don't really think about how horrible shit is Dabi actually. Secondly, there is an additional aspect of being young and handsome, which neither Endeavour nor the grape boy are, but for example Bakugou is, even though he was a horrible bully, in my books worse than Mineta actually.
@@joannaniedziaek8158 I love ur explanation. Tbh, I found it extremely hard to forgive Endeavor and root for him. I wanted him to suffer a bit more and have ppl hate him (in the anime/manga). But even when he almost died to the Nomu and the people didn't like him as the number 1 hero, I still wasn't satisfied. I was honestly kinda upset when Shouto was worried for Endeavor during his fight with the Nomu. But after reevaluating his character and seeing what Horishiki wants to do with Endeavor's character development, I have move on from hating Endeavor to understanding and liking him now.
I've started to respect Endeavor and like him as a character. But his concept (abusive father who broke apart family reclaims respect via atoning) I'll happily keep hating him because of that.

Dabi: “I don’t trust or love anyone anymore” Also Dabi after he went to a noodle shop in disguise and met and talked to Deku for more than 3 minutes: “Shigaraki if you hurt that one I’ll burn you alive”
I love how Shoto thinks of Bakugo as a friend despite all the evidence to the contrary. (To be fair, the "evidence"" is mostly just banter, Bakugo was surprisingly well-behaved during the family visit.)
He doesn't think of him as a friend, he declares him to be a friend until Bakugo accepts it. Todoroki will not take no for an answer. Friendship or death.
To be honest sometime it happens that you are considered as someones friend (even if it's not true for you) soo long that it's too late. I bet for some time it was like this for for Aizawa (not willing friend) and Mic (very willing but incredibly annoying friend).
Despite the fact that he has not experienced domestic violence and that his mother is very loving to him, the fact that he was marginalized his entire life for not having a quirk is a pretty serious trauma. He really is a very strong boy who, despite everything, draws strength to help his friends and loved ones. He's technically been bullied his whole life so... I think it's still hard for him.
Izuku still was traumatized though. Mayby he didn't gone through domestic violence and all but he was still mocked by other children and bullyed by Bakugo. It's actually soo bad that he is ready to throw away his own life just to be usefull to someone. So he still understand problems of Shoto and his family.

Don’t get me wrong, Izuku getting All Might’s quirk and being thrown into the AFO/OFA rivalry was great, but it also could have been really cool to see Izuku fighting to become a hero without a quirk. He’d be fighting society as much as he would need to fight the villains.
Thats that good character shit, they develop and form respect
whens the plane part? which ep is it?
Good writing always trumps/is better than fandom's bad headcanons.
“You were one of us too, huh?”

There were definitely some thoughts on Touya when he said that.

I love that Deku got to work under the only other person who starts playing 5D Chess when talking about how Quirks work

@@rosesweetcharlotte Given his Quirk is legit fire, he has to be. Fire can destroy things FAST and Enji needed to be sharp, otherwise he'd be nowhere near the level of hero he is. And even then his parenting was awful, no Quirk can fully erase those sins

Deku had the quirks that every anime main character had
*Too innocent yet dangerous when being poked*
The fact that both Deku and Shoto acknowledge that Endeavor has changed and yet the fandom is so adamant on still hating on him
Someone on quora very nicely explained that.

I love how Shoto thinks of Bakugo as a friend despite all the evidence to the contrary. (To be fair, the "evidence"" is mostly just banter, Bakugo was surprisingly well-behaved during the family visit.)
And to be fair, the dude is ALWAYS YELLING
He doesn't think of him as a friend, he declares him to be a friend until Bakugo accepts it. Todoroki will not take no for an answer. Friendship or death.
To be honest sometime it happens that you are considered as someones friend (even if it's not true for you) soo long that it's too late. I bet for some time it was like this for for Aizawa (not willing friend) and Mic (very willing but incredibly annoying friend).
Izuku is the one who saves Todoroki's family with his kindness.
The kid with zero family issues and a perfect mother, instructing the todoroki family on how to get passed trauma😂💀
To be fair we still don't know about his dad plus he was still being bullied by other. I get it not the same but it's still trauma
He's just being a decent person lol
Izuku still was traumatized though. Mayby he didn't gone through domestic violence and all but he was still mocked by other children and bullyed by Bakugo. It's actually soo bad that he is ready to throw away his own life just to be usefull to someone. So he still understand problems of Shoto and his family.
