We have the rs6 which competes with…i don’t know to be honest
We also have the rs3 which is a baby R8 And it competes with….lets just move on
Our target demographic isn’t that much better
Its 75% CEOs and their kids
10% rich carguys
5% broke carguys
And 10% mechanics that repossessed the car
Whenever bmw and mercedes are going at each other we throw our two cents in just to remind people that we exist
Its like when you used to hand your little brother the ps2 controller but it wasn't actually connected
Our logo represents the 4 companies that came together to make audi
They also represent the piston rings that retire early
But don’t worry

Was an Inline 6 to compete with BMW and Daimler but didn't fit into the engine bay and a cylinder had to be chopped. From there it was just building a hype

As an Audi fan, I'm rolling laughing. This is so accurate. Audi never did grow up, and that's my favourite thing about it.
Its literally the same thing with Mercedes and Bmw too, they never "grew up" either. Dont get your point, all of them make just as much sporty cars

Very funny, but my personal experience with audis is that they are reliable as hell. My first car was a 1997 Audi A6 and at the end it survived more than 300,000 miles without any mechanical issues. My current car is an Audi A4 B9 Avant Diesel from 2017, which i drove until now about 150,000 miles. These engines are made to last. My uncle drives an A4 B5 1.9 TDI from 2000 and this car ran for 570,000 miles without any issues.
Very impressive. I've owned 3 Audis. My experience was pretty mixed. I had very few under the hood problems (besides leaks) with any of them and I wasn't even a maintenance zealot back then but electrical problems abounded as they got older and then anything to do with suspension didn't seem to last very long. When you do have problems the bill can get outrageous.

My family had 3 Audi (1999,2009,2017) and 1 BMW (2012). We've spent more money on fixing that one bmw than all audi put together

The only thing untrue about this is that I’ve genuinely never seen an Audi break down, and my dad has owned two of them (A7 in 2014, sold in 2017 I think. S5 in 2020. Still owns and loves that one) Was there a specific Audi infamous for breaking down?
The newer models are as reliable as any other german brand(a little bit reliable) because of the chips and the electronics. But the older models are much worse especially the B6 B7

Yeah my dad and mom have an a4 and q5 . They have never broken down
My dad old Audi 5000 was a nightmare before he junkyard it but my 2017 A4 has no issues at all at 108k miles. I also have a 2020 S4 with 32k miles and no issues other than the brakes being crappy

I feel like they are a more "mature" Subaru. I've actually seen a few Subarus for sale with the seller specifying that they are selling because they bought an Audi. The main thing I'd say that puts a lot of petrolheads off them is that they don't really drive dynamically. They build numbers cars with high HP and quick 0-100 times which caters to those who want bragging rights, but you get behind the wheel of one and they are generally quite numb and understeery. There are exceptions to that but in general that's what I've found.

Actually, those rings represent the four companies that represent Auto-Union. There’s Horch, Audi, DKW, and Wanderer. They were all Saxon based companies before the split and have disbanded or left after the split and have yet to return after reunification (another good reason to be disappointed in Wessis).

Maybe the reliability part applies only to the newest models, because my father had one in the early 80s, is on another one from late 90s, and while he never had problems with the first, the second is still in mint condition

@@Pemj2k well its a 2007 rs4. bought it at 100k. its at 115k and ive replaced the clutch, cv axles and some other stuff. They are usually fine if they`ve been taken care of though.

@@Pemj2k the old ones from the 90s and 2000s are trash reliability but the newer ones are probably one of the most reliable cars you can buy. My 2017 A4 has 108k miles and no issues at all. Only maintenance I did is just oil every 10k miles and changing the air filters and brakes

I'm curious whether regional difference play a role in reliability. We have quite a few Audi drivers where I live, as in, you see them as oft as merc or bmw but slightly less than peugeot.
Never have I ever heard about any reliability issues, however, it's a car made by germans for germans --> Manual sucks, buttons don't explain themselves and every model is just a serial number xD
