Koda Vista makes me nostalgic for things I've never done. It's kinda magical in that way. I hope I can see Joywave in concert again soon. It's always a special experience. Love all their stuff.
I only got in to Joywave this past year and a half, and holy shit I wish they had been a part of my life the whole time they've been around. Glad to be on the train now, but damn I definitely missed a band that absolutely would have been a part of my regular listening
The transition from A.M. to Who Do You Like? and Smokestacks' Bassline are just absolutely phnomenal. Even though this album is 5 and a half years old, Anemone's instrumental sounds like it could be the backing for a hip-hop/rap track.
Who Do You Like? and Golden State were my *stranded at JFK* bops and I will always nervously walking around Terminal 4 with this blasting in my headphones.
you guys rock, love your music, I wish I would have heard about you before. For the past year I have been listening to ya. I got turned on to your music from a friend that promotes local bands & so forth. Became obsessed with your sound. Its nothing like I've heard out there, such a great style of music & you guys are awesome musicians, Keep pumping out the good music, look forward to possibly catching a show somewhere in the near future.:)
Not as bad as the 70's! Earth tones, sweater vests clashing colors and bad leisure suits. The 80's was pretty tacky and blinding with the neon everywhere though.
The kid on the right is the genius. Unbelievable sound, unbelievable writing, unbelievable vocals. Genius.
is that daniel?
@@sean2855 i believe so
Sean most certainly looks like him
