Pls can I start plantain farming in September/October of the year cause that is when the land will be ready as I currently have cassava on the land
If you have irrigation that is sustainable, then , yes, but if not, wait till next year farming season
Chidav please do you know about maize farm. I planted cassava and maize together; cassava stem was planted in February and maize was planted 3 weeks ago but when I went to the farm yesterday to check the maize didn’t grow and cassava has grown to 2.5ft tall. What could be the cause for the maize not growing and do you think I should plant the maize again
Cassava is a heavy feeder, that's one of the reasons the maize didn't do well bc the cassava has taken up the nutrients.
Amongst the bush are lots herbs and plants pesticides without any harm. You cut away to plant a single item plantain. I guess more thinking and transplant the precious herbs, anti insect weed etc.
Like you said, there are lots of bushes, clearing this section for the cultivation of food crop for human consumption doesn’t stop herbs from growing actually.

Yes, go to the east or you fence your field round.
You could have made charcoal out of the trees and shrubs and start making profit
