Shawn, you and your daughter are a delight, and you're bith inspiring together. You are obviously a great dad. Heres myvrequest, you and Zoe react to the Warning's performance of Evolve from their 2023 MTV VMA appearance. I think shell be impressed with them. Pau really shines in this one as does Dany. Thanks you, Charlie
Alejandra is my favorite of the sisters. There is something about her that is just captivating but in a very understated way. She is obviously talented,.a remarkable bassist, but also very underrated as a singer mostly by herself.
Zoe is adorable, I hope she follows DPA more because these three are great examples to follow, not only as musical geniuses but also as great human beings. Greetings to both of you from Mexico and thanks!! 🇲🇽 🤟😁✌️
Play her the last two songs from this, *When I'm Alone,* and *Survive.* Then play those SAME two songs from the 2023 Pepsi Center CDMX Tenth Anniversary show. Then play her Enter Sandman, the version from Pepsi Center. The contrast shows the growth over time. Maybe play her the June, 2015, Live at Liceo de Monterrey show (outdoor arena at their school). It's on Trey Salazar's channel. If you were to go watch some of their very early videos when they were just starting out, you would know that these Mexican sisters were not yet little bilingual Catholic school girls when they first got into music at summer camps. Mom's a dentist. Dad's an engineer. He used to run a recording studio. The girls grew up listening to their parents' rock favorites and watching concerts on TV. The kids all learned classical piano first, then discovered Rock Band, the video game. Suddenly, they were choosing instruments. Dany started guitar lessons at eight. Pau started drum lessons at six. Ale started bass at seven, a few years later, as she's the youngest. They were a great cover band as LITTLE KIDS. But they rarely do covers anymore. They are as good as, or better than the bands they covered! And in most cases, they are more fun to watch. Their first two albums were crowd-funded and independently produced! Before watching any more of their music, I'd suggest you watch BOTH their two TEDx Talks on the University of Nevada channel, from way back in 2016 and 2017. Perhaps also watch The Warning: The Mexican Rock Stars Who Happen To Be Sisters [TIDAL Rising Documentary] on the TIDAL channel. Maybe watch Mayday in the Making, parts 1-6. As much as you like it now, if you know who they are, and where they come from, their music will make a lot more sense. These ladies are now 19, 22, and 24. They sold out their Spring tour, 19 dates in Europe and the UK. They're also back from Japan and a stint in L.A. for the launch of their new album, on to Europe for festivals, and headed on to Canada, the USA, and other places this year. They already sold out a 10,000 seat arena in Mexico City for two dates next February. Their fourth album, Keep Me Fed, arrived June 28, and they performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live the night before. They were on MTV Push during July. They played Pol'and'Rock and Wacken Open Air festivals in Europe before many tens of thousands of fans.Their superpowers are LIVE performance, music COMPOSITIONAL skills, LYRICAL depth, STAGE presence and charisma, and personal integrity. This is a deep, deep, 11-year-old rabbit hole.
you should watch the whole TEDx presentation. they talk about themselves and their music between the songs (only 3 but worth it). also, Zoe likes Dany because of her singing??? show her "Dust to Dust", "23", with Pau singing, or "Black Holes" and "Breathe" with Pau on a Piano. Check any of these but from their Pepsi Center CDMX concert.
Your daughter is very expressive and states her opinions quite well. This show, which was January of 2017 (when they were 16, 14 and 12) (they are now 24, 22 and 19), was my first exposure to the band. And this song was the first song I ever heard of theirs. During this TedX talk, they told inspirational stories between each song and I was immediately taken not only with their musical talent, but also their passion, charisma and intelligence. Not a day has gone by since then where I haven’t listened to their music or watched one of their videos. And on top of being excellent musicians, they are just good people who you want to root for and support. Watching this entire show with your daughter might be fun because the sisters are so well spoken, even back then. And Zoey now would be near Pau's age.
All 3 sisters play piano. During this show Alé played it during one of the songs. There's a video of Dany and Pau playing when they were really young. Dany also played the saxophone in a video I saw.
God , said this many times, goosebumps all the song, dont know which one is my fav of The Warning, Unmendable or Narcisista , difficult choice but think is Unmendable, best song from best band on earth
you should show her new stuff, pepsi cdmx live in mexico, 2023 this cencert was amazing, they just started releasing songs from this venue about a month ago
I know this is a longer video start to finish but to show Zoe just how well spoken these young teens are would of been a bonus, they are very very smart and grounded young ladies, an inspiration to the next generation for sure. Keep her interested in quality music and very talented young women like these girls...they have a message for the younger generation and it is important. The Crap the MSM industry is offering is not. Thanks for exposing your daughter to quality music and wonderful human beings....it is important these days.
Yea man, that was a good song for Zoey to hear the very young TW. The warning is on tour right now and kind of bummed they didn't stop by AZ or TX. I've seen them twice, but they're such a good live band so I'll be seeing TW again. Good reaction you two, peace.
Shawn you are a very, very lucky man. Zoey, Welcome to The Warning and the fan base The Warning Army (TWA). Hope you react to more of TW and come to love them as much as we do. Great job by the way.
The Warning nos une.
The next thing you should check out is the song Survive, which was the last song the played during this Tedx talk. Ale plays some keyboard at the start of the song, and Dany and Pau switch off on lead vocals. It is a great song, and they have lots of fun playing it. It is the only song from their first album, they have recently released their fourth, that still get regular concert play. An easy way to remember their ages is that Dany was born in January of 2000, so her age always matches the year. Pau was born in February of 2002, so she is two years younger than Dany. Ale was born in December of 2004, so she is usually five years younger than Dany.
The QOTMS cover image is a mix of all 3 of them. At the TEDx they were 12, 15, 17 and had just recorded their 1st studio album XXI Century Blood. Today, they are 19 (Alejandra), 22 (Paulina), and 24 (Daniela). Check their tour dates, but they are nearly done with their US tour for this year. I hope Zoey liked them enough to watch more with you. You two are fun together. Cute Dad daughter interaction. 👍😎
Oh, you're in for a treat if you explore more of the Warning. Start with the 2023 MTV VMAs where they played the song, "Evolve!" I just saw them two nights in a row here in So Cal in kimono and then Los Angekes. Nest up, Guadalajara, Cologne, Germany, and London, England. Yes, im a fan.
"More" or really anything from Pepsi Center would be good for Zoey to see more of Dany's voice combined with her expressiveness. Ale moved up to a 5 string base around 2020 and plays a custom Spector bass.
Your daughter is awesome and adorable!! I'm glad you have had her get WARNED !! I have three daughters all a year older than DPA, and I feel like a proud Dad watching them and learning their whole story!
Fun reaction, hope to see more of Zoe's reactions to The Warning! I'm always curious on what the under 20 crowd thinks of the band, they have such a different music experience than those over 40.
Shawn, Zoey, excellent reaction. This group very impressive, drummer in particular. Zoey tutorial videos on line do help teach guitar, several instructors to chose from. Suggest:....."Tomorrow" "Avalanche" "Play dead" "Sometimes" by James
"You ruined the moment" hahaha It's heartwarming to see such a great father/daughter relationship. Please keep doing more reactions to The Warning with your daughter, I won't miss any of them. New sub here.
I saw you other reactions with your daughter and I were wishing you'd introduce her to The Warning. I'm glad I didn't push the issue, I know a great father when I see one and DPA are great examples to follow. Greetings from Guadalajara Mexico and awesome reaction guys

Hello Zoey Welcome to the TW Experience…………. 🤟
Great reaction! Your daughter is awesome and she's a lot like you, fun family!
Great reaction Shawn and Zoe! Definitely finish this TedX concert, including the talks between songs. Thanks and keep The Warning reactions coming!
Actually more an overall presentation more than a concert. Definitely worth reacting to in its entirety.

Interesting about the cover image, I thought it was Ale.

I can't confirm this but I think i heard somewhere the girl on the cover of Queen of the Murder Scene is a blend of all three sisters.
This is my understanding as well, drawn by an artist friend of theirs (or of their parents). They're probably credited on the album liner notes.
Good job right there Dad ..... TWA..... ❤

This is early in their career. Kind of weird to say it that way considering all (except Ale) is in their teens.
They are among a new wave of all female bands (NWOAFB), who are getting more traction latest years. Especially in Asia (of all places) we see more of them.
-Indonesia got Voice of Baceprot who got some following. To the degree they deicided to do a US and EU tour a year ago.
-Then there's Rolling Quartz of South-Korea, who's done just the same. Believe they also just went to Australia?
-But Japan got me just as excited as with The Warning. At the same time as the Villareals made the "Enter Sandman" cover, a 22 year old girl deicided to start her own rock band: Band-Maid. These 2 bands met in Tokyo in June this year, working together, writing songs and having fun. Oh yes.. a show together too. In the 2022 Aftershock festival they deicided to meet backstage, take some pictures etc... Also they wanted to do something together.
When they say so they do it!
A great introduction to the maids is "Choose me" official music video, though their "superpower" is their live performances. Then maybe "Hate?" (live 2023).
Another great Japanese band is Lovebites! "We the resurrection" (off. live) might be a good starting point?
You should hear what they have to say after the second song in this TedX.
I like this, I wasn't familiar with them at all, great band! Enjoyed your reaction very much too.
