It was very rare you’d hear the full tune for this reason, except for times you oddly decided to stop for a break at this part. Hidden gem as the middle part of it is decent.
When I was a kid, I sometimes left this playing while I went and got myself a glass of water or juice. When I came back, this was rocking in the background and I was getting pumped for the upcoming race. Good memories!
Still have my original Gran Turismo 1 in its original case on PlayStation, memory card and controller with the console. Still works a treat! Crank it up from time to time, rocking the dodge viper, the GTO twin turbo, the speed 12, great memories
From GTPlanet a long time ago. The composer that did the music for the U.S./European game posted on there. And he uploaded the files for everyone. They are straight from the composer, so thats why they are good quality. :)
Huh. So did he sort of release them for everyone to use without his pernission if its not for monetary purposes you think? Thats cool that he did that..
@TwoHeadedHawk The manufacturer select video is where I posted the info. Check the comments there. His name on the forums was jpage, and the forum was gtplanet. Which is still active I believe.

@karelpipa Some guy from Europe. I dont know whew though. Isamu Ohira did the music for the Japanese game while Sony had a guy from Europe compose music for the Western version. Then from GT2 onward Isamu Ohira music was used in all regions.
I may be biased somehow because I only discovered the japanese soundtrack years after that, but what I think is amazing about this track is how well it fits with the menu sfx. On a musical standpoint, having a F minor theme with one of the menu SFX essentially being a G-Sharp chord just works so well. What suprised me is that I can't think of anythinglike this in the japanese version, yet in GT2 which would use the japanese menu tracks in every regions, many tracks fit with the menu sfx musically for that kind of reason, the GT2 arcade menu track being a very good example.
They need to add a old school ost to the ps5 version as a alternative to the to the new one they have done it to dlc too resident evil 2 so i cant see why not to old school fans.
Even tho I know there’s 2 ost for this game depending on region ,let’s be honest bring back the hardness of music tracks in the next one but don’t change what u have now ,just add this composer to the team at least for supervision
Hey!! I have a question. In GT5, what's the name of the songs that plays during the pre-race menu? I've been looking for the songs! But I can't find them! I'm going crazy! Bwahaha!
@@MsSirAndy Lol look at me coming back to my year-old comment. It doesn't suck. It's actually very well made, but it just doesn't belong in a racing game at all.
The composer didnt have to go this hard on "race menu" soundtrack. But he did. For us.
for real 🤣🤣🤣
I’m grateful he did made me a badass instantly at the age of 15
He knew brother, he knew.
I can't believe they did a 3 minute song on a menu they you'll most likely skip in like 4 seconds. But man, It sure was worth it!
i think the menu just used say "you placed 3rd" or something.
