Optimize your Website for this platform!
When you open your website on a mobile device, CAN you Save an image from it on Pinterest? I started with this point because it is REALLY important. So pause the video if you need to, and go check your site on your phone NOW. Then let me know in the comments if you managed to save a pin from your site in a couple of clicks!
If not, you will hardly get a lot of Pinterest traffic. Why? Well, take a peek at my Pinterest analytics.
See, for a lot of my top-performing pins the source is called Others, they are not my pins.
I have a pretty established Pinterest account that gets about 10 Million monthly viewers.
They are pins that have organically found their way from your site into Pinterest through the Saves made by Other users.
My idea is that these pins hold a lot more weight in the algorithm than the pins that YOU saved from your profile. It is a strong engagement signal or a domain quality signal for Pinterest.

My 5-year-old Pinterest Business Account with 18k followers and 2 million monthly views was suspended for alleged "spam activity". I hadn't posted in 4 months due to a new baby, and all my pins were legitimate, linking back to my website. My multiple appeals have been rejected, yet they still have not told me when, where, what caused the "spam activity". This situation has significantly affected my mental health and income, pushing me into depression. I have no option but to start another Pinterest account but now have PTSD about it getting closed. Sorry for venting; I'm just feeling a bit down. Love your videos xx
I'm so sorry you had to go through this experience especially when you have a new baby. Any chance you've been sending DMs to people on Pinterest? Unfortunately, all platforms are too big to care about small publishers. Google doesn't even have any support for publishers and websites affected by September last year core update are still penalized with no point of contact on Google. The only good thing about Pinterest is you can start and grow a new account relatively fast. Also while your old account is suspended you still can get traffic from your old pins as they are already on the platform. You can't post new pins but old ones are out there with your links.

I did see quite a few spam comments left on my best performing pins, which I try to delete as soon as I see them. But due to my recent maternity, I may have missed a few. Surely Pinterest don't suspend your account based on what other users are doing? In any case, I will start again and keep you updated. Thanks again!

One harsh reality about Pinterest that rarely gets discussed on UA-cam is that if you include your website or landing page link in the title or description, those pins receive very few views, often just 1-5. To get views on such pins, you almost always have to run ads. However, if I simply pin other normal videos or images without any links, they receive thousands of views. I've observed this pattern over the last six months. - @Anastasia: Please reply on this matter/issue and guide what can we do in this situation?
When you say you include your website or landing page, do you mean a verified domain? I work with accounts that have a verified domain on them and I don't see lower distribution on pins just because they have a link attached to them.
I'm just starting out with pinterest and I'm wondering what sort of traffic levels I should expect to get off of interest onto my blog within the first 6 months of using it. Can you provide an estimate based on your own experience?

Amazing content as always Anastasia. Question: How important is text overlay for images? And what should be ideal pinning ratio per day? Like 3-5 or more?
If you're in a visual niche and want to see massive growth aim for 10-50 pins per day.
Pinterest is a numbers game. The more pins you have the better
I would say 3-5 pins is a great start for a brand new account. The numbers suggested in the previous comment are something you could strive for. Pinterest shared through Tailwind scheduler a recommended maximum of 20 pins, I think going much above 20 pins per day is only viable if you have a website with a ton of pages that allows you to save many pins without getting repetitive.
And you need to keep in mind that new accounts can get in trouble for pinning 20 pins per day while an older and active account would do fine with saving 50 pins a day. You can increase the daily pinning volume gradually, avoid spikes of activity.

Aged accounts can post 50 times a day or more.
Hi Anastasia, how many pins is recommended to be created for a single page link for a board? And how many pins in total is recommended?
In total for one page URL? You can make initially about 3 different pin images and save them with an interval of a week to make sure your account doesn't look repetitive. Then check which pin works better, do something similar in a couple of months. There is no limit of how many pins can be linked to the same page URL. Over the years, you could have 50 pins from the same page. But the should not be saved too close to each other, keep about 1 week interval between those different pins from the same page.

Hi Anastasia, Excellent content. What do you think are the niches with the least competition on Pinterest where one can succeed?
You might find my answer counter-intuitive if you have Google SEO background. But on Pinterest, you should go for popular niches if you want to get traffic from it. Narrow niches just don't get traffic as much as popular niches (fashion, home decor, food, holidays, lifestyle content in general).

anastasiablogger.com/sortpin you can see number of saves but can't filter. They also added similar features to anastasiablogger.com/keywordseverywhere - it is not free but very affordable and can also show keyword volume at the same time

What do you think about pining one article link 5-10 times on the same day with different pin images, titles and descriptions? I mean all if these pin will be uploaded on the same day and linked to one article.
That would be repetitive, spammy, could get your account suspended at some point

Not entirely. Its depends. Mine gets sales but takes weeks later after the original post on pinterest but gain a lots of clicks that convert into sales but gain a lot on pins, conversion and followers.
So pinterest is the best to get attention on your sales post not getting sales. Just get creative on your post cause its helps a lot.
I change from post to shorts videos on pinterest. Hope it helps
I don't know what kind of products they were trying to sell, what kind of pin copy was used, was it clear to the audience they are going to a product page or were they tricked into clicking on some viral video / image. Pinterest users are mostly in the planning mode though, and so they often are not buying right away but saving pins for later. So it makes tracking conversions harder.

It is best to start with something like 3-5 pins per day and slowly increase this daily volume to up to 20 per day but that is the maximum recommended even for established accounts that have thousands of pages they can link to. It is important to have no spikes of activity. So from 3-5 per day to 20 per day you need to grow it slowly over a period of several months. Volume is not the only factor, you also need quality images that generate clicks and that people want to save :)

Great video, I have a question. I sell jewelry gifts on my Shopify store. All my pics are 1000 X 1000 pixel. If I convert these pics to a 1000 X 1500 pixel vertical pins that Pinterest wants, my image loses the gift box pic I have in each photo which will confuse the customer as my gift is a combination of message card+jewelry +gift box. So what do I do in this case? Also although I added Pinterest app on my Shopify store, none of my photos have the shareable pin save image on any of my pics. What to do about it?
Hi there! Consider creating collages using product photos, keep in mind that it is important to keep the top part of the pin for a large font text overlay.
The issue with Pinterest app on the store is weird and technical beyond generic response here, you'll need to ask either Shopify support or the app support to help you.

I get about 5 emails per day from people who want to edit my videos and make thumbnails for me. 99% of that is not even close to my current video editing, not to say they could deliver anything better. One guy emailed me over 15 times in one day begging to give him a test video. He then took 2 days to deliver an AI edit of 1 minute of my video and asked me to not forget to pay him $60 for it :))) AI meaning he is not even a video editor, he uploaded it to a AI video editing tool and was hoping he could work for me. I don't get what was the point of sending 15 emails per day begging for work.

You can but it should not be the same exact URL on all links. Like it is not a good idea to link all pins to your homepage. You need to have a variety of URLs.
