I have made green beans with sauteed onion, diced tomato and maple syrup. I like your recipe using soy sauce, brown sugar, kind of gives it an Asian flair. Thanks for the recipe.

This is a great recipe...been using it for years. We call them Arkansas Green Beans. Always serve them for holiday meals and we can't even look t the old Green Bean Casserole recipe. This one is so much better.

I would think you could use fresh you might need to bake them longer and maybe cover them so they will steam some.
