That's what happens when you have no true PG. Turnovers against a great defense like the Warriors that historically lives off turnovers. It was the most glaring weakness and it cost them the series. However, it is also the reason they were even there in the first place. They needed every bit of size and defense that comes with how their roster is built to get past those Eastern teams. The Warriors aren't built like those teams in defensive or offensive style, so it was great to see how the Celtics big, defensive roster stacked up against a different style and how their offense would go when they got stalled. They swept the Nets, every game close for the most part. Middleton out, beat Bucks in 7. They were able to get past the Heat due to the heat having a similar roster with a more stagnant offense in that series specifically. The Warriors were not a team you could beat scoring 85 like they did Miami.

@GG GG And goes to show how much better the warriors culture and team is curry went 0-9 and were up by 15 at one point he trusts his teammates but if u asked me it kind of looked like Boston was scared of the double team and didn't want to go to the paint and they didn't trust there teammates to make the 3 which lead to turnovers and the run that the warriors put on them just made them think they had to throw up 3s (which is another huge factor people don't bring up much, when the warriors hit there run most of the time the other team just panics and do dumb turnovers or force a pass to a 3 or throw up 3s) which worked against every team in the east but not the warriors. Game 1 is the prefect example why i didn't panic and knew this series was over for the C's.

Ppl keep saying Boston is the better team but I disagree. Warriors have depth all the way in to their bench, and they just looked like the better team most of this series. The same thing ppl are saying about Boston with turnovers and missed layups could be said about the warriors, they were making silly mistakes (which they usually do), if not for those mistakes, they would blow celtics out each time. Further, warriors beat them convincingly when they’re best player goes 0-9 in 3s, just say they weren’t ready, media hyped them up without them being proven on this type of stage and they got beat by the better team.

The Celtics hit 7 of their first 7 3's, hit 9/13 of their 3's, and had 40 points to 16 flipping a double digit deficit to a double digit win. Neither mentioned that the Celtics play an overly aggressive style of basketball that only works when against certain teams. Team in the finals/payoffs see each other often enough to pickup on things. Udoka didnt adjust his rotations nor did he adjust to the Dubs changing lineups game to game. The Dubs knew the Celtics tendencies and force errors. Boston has 2 iso players who are not playmakers. If the Celtics had any consistent offensive scheme they would be a championship level team, they just don't have the ability to generate points when their outside shots aren't falling and/or baiting the officials doesn't work. I expect them to make a couple moves to try and bring a new point guard/point forward. If I am the Celtics, I would try hard to get Tyus Jones this offseason. I think whatever team signs him is getting an absolute steal, but he would also address a huge hole in the Boston roster. Udoka needs to hire an offensive assistant as well, his current staff just didn't do anything to adjust their gameplan and the Warriors shut them down later in the series.
