Massive thanks!!! From Japan I visited and stayed at a hostel in Earl's Court for 2 weeks to watch the London Olympic games. I always took a walk in the streets in your videos. While watching your video, I remembered the people I encountered there and couldn't stop shedding tears.
This is the perfect place for London fans that have lived there and miss London (like me) or those who never saw London before. You manage to capture London perfectly with amazing quality clips! Really impressed. I have joined and liked you and I will be back for more!
@@4KExplorer Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead lived there! My first love...I go to Philbeach Gardens as often as possible just to reminisce! St Cuthberts, the church on Philbeach Gardens is worth seeing too. A charming church and congregation!
I'm frm malaysia.. been here 15 yrs ago.. when my son was only 10 mths old.. quite challenging bcoz this is our first time going abroad.. wonderful experience in earls court.. met very nice guy who gave us a direction to our hotel..
This was nice and allowed me to reminisce on my Summer of 2019 visit. I stayed in Earle's Court and will probably stay there again when it is safe to travel again.
Mario Vargas Llosa's lively description of 1960's Earl's Court in "Travesuras de la niña mala" brought me here. Feels much less alive in this video though...

So sad that the then Mayor of London, now Prime Minister Johnson, and Tory-controlled K&C & LBHF Councils failed to stop the demolition of the iconic 1930s art deco concert stadium and exhibition halls that made Earl's Court famous the world over. Its loss ripped the heart and soul out of this once buzzy London neighbourhood, a magnet for music and sports fans and a vital shop window for UK trade - all foolishly destroyed for designer high-rise flats that were never built. The site sits as a desolate urban wasteland - a monument to town planning and greed gone horribly wrong. .
3:13 right side: Greene King Courtfield 👍👍 One of the best pubs, bars and restaurants in Kensington I've been to. Very cozy and gemuetlich, nice and friendly staff, great beers and food. Always worth to stop by.
