If you have a room in your home that is always to hot or to cold, you're not alone. In this video I show a quick, easy, and affordable way to fix this problem for good. Using the AC Infinity Airtap Smart register booster fan vent I show how to replace your HVAC registers with this motorized blower. The results were amazing - I was able to raise/lower the temperature in those rooms by about 5 degrees to ultimately make them more comfortable and save money. WE LOVE THAT!

How do you deal with no outlet near by. We can't have an extension cord in the middle of the floor. When is the battery power coming out?
Wow, that is a great product and my wife and I are going to purchase one for our problem room. Thank you once again for showing us a product we would not have known about and for your professional and honest opinion. KIte Army!!! Yes!!! PS I am going to share this with my many f.b. friends.
Thanks mate! you can always borrow mine ;)
Nice! That looks like something we could use, especially in the summer
yeah - those rooms get way to cold in the summer
Thanks for sharing! Same issue on my end, saw this about 1 month ago and was not sure...but looks like it does the job so Ill go pick-up a few
They work well :)
Finally someone made a video on this product
I bought a cheaper vent fan booster a few months ago before summer started and it hasn't made a difference
But the fan speed that you demonstrated plus the digital screen with buttons to adjust the temperature im SOLD
And I actually like the white noise helps me fall asleep
Thx bro you are a legend 🙌🙏👏💯💪
What a compliment - make sure you sub and like
Got 4 of these for our upstairs rooms for summer. They definitely push more air through! I set my threshold temp for the vent at 70. So at 70 or lower reading in the duct they will kick on speed 10. They seem to run pretty constant though. At 6 watts per unit I don’t think it’s too bad compared to switching my ac to on instead of auto and having the blower run all day.
You can set the max speed on the last setting
@@Kitearmy yep, I like running them at 10 though

Excelente video! Thanks
My Airtap really works and helps my central air cool my impossible to cool primary bedroom with vaulted ceilings.
YES!!!!
just got a few of these, they REALLY work. made my room with two pcs running icey :D
Great - make sure to give me a thumbs up!
What temperature do u have yours set to? cause I have my ps4 watching Netflix and it heats up my room but the booster doesn't make my room icy at all its probably 1 or 2 degrees cooler
@@dreskull3690 when my AC is on temps coming through ducts it reads going from 68-50, I have mine set to 69, when my AC is off during the night my temp reads 69-70,
So majority of the days the boosters running 24/7, except from 12am-4am I also have my fam setting at max, I used to be drenched in sweat with overclocked pcs, also took about a full 24/hr cycle and my room became the same temps as downstairs. Hope this helps!
@@dreskull3690 if setting the temp doesn’t work well with yours just try running it with the fans on max! My room used to be the hottest room, since purchase I sleep with blankets again 😂
@@dreskull3690 I get about 5 degrees

Kite is my favorite person!!
You are my favorite person
Filters like that can also be part of the problem as they are more restrictive to air flow. If you use those, maybe add some extra return registers or switch to the cheapest, least restrictive filters AND add more returns like I did.
your video convinced me to go to amazon and purchase this for my main bedroom which vent has weak air flow! great video!
Glad I could help!
How's thr airflow now?
@@dFreemZ fixed my problem
My house has one of those forced air style heating systems too, but the problem my house has is it only has a single giant vent right in the middle of the fist floor of my house at the bottom of the stairs. And you would need to keep all the doors inside the house open for the heat to get into the rooms. Then you have my bedroom, which yeah, its right next to the giant vent downstairs. But I have computers and other expensive electronics in there and we have one cat that likes chewing on wires and another that likes jumping on top of everything and trashing tables and desks. So I have to keep my door shut all the time, which makes my room ridiculously cold during the winter. We did add another heating vent that comes off the furnace and into my room, but by the time the heat reaches the room, its just not strong enough to come out of the little vent we have in there. The heat just stays inside the vent and never comes out. Would this register booster be good enough to help pull the heat out and into the room?
So I’ve had mine for a fairly small amount of time, and I cannot even use it. If I press the up or down arrow, the Screen displays “LC”, and if I press the menu button, it just turns off the screen. Fans never move and I don have the instruction Manuel. Do you think you can help? Is there a way to reset it?
These work more on hotter days with A/C on auto. My room went from the hottest room in the house to the coldest room in the house using this
I replaced all of my upstairs vents with these and they do make a difference!
great
How much ur electricity went up
how have i NEVER seen or heard of this before?? fantastic! (if it works for me)
let us know
This is an excellent video! Thank you. I just had my furnace/ac unit replaced and I was told there is a static pressure sensor in the unit since I have a variable speed blower. I'm wondering if this could screw anything up with that. My son always complains he is hot at night and his room is the furthest from the units.
Again, well done my friend.
Yeah but it is already screwed up because you have rooms that are not cooled or heated - worth a shot
Your static pressure sensor will kick your fan speed back down if you have some vents shut creating too much back pressure. The reason for this is, say you are in high heat mode but several vents are closed and not enough air is flowing through the heat exchanger causing over heating this is a back up safety. The same for cooling not enough air flow and your cooling coils could ice up and stop air flow. If you have enough vents in your home you might be able to shut some vents where not needed and still not trip the static pressure sensor. Zoning might have helped and maybe still could check back with the people that just got paid to fix your problem
Your exactly correct and yes it will be for a negative affect I'm afraid. But I'm just going by what my HVAC installer said and applying what this guy is said.
It really solves the problem of broken off duct work? Duct that has been damaged , torn or somehow came off and is loose there ?
? I have an old ac. I live in an apt. How can I get it cool on here. They won’t give me a new one I barely have it around 75. And it’s so warm in here. And ideas
Also make sure all the bedrooms in your house have return air vents and ducts or door undercuts or return air transfer vents above the doors.
Nice !!
Thanks!
Pretty damn cool 💥💥💥
or hot :)
Standard 1 inch air filters need to be changed every 30 days and always buy the cheapest air filters because they have the most air flow. If you want to filter smaller particules then get a stand alone air purifier.
thanks
That is really great, I actually can use a few of those in my house now! Nice video to show this off
See that is the danger of watching these videos :)
How much does this cost (energy wise)
Thank you for this. I've seen these but assumed they were junk. Too bad they don't come available for baseboard vents. Only our first floor has floor vents.
These are shockingly well made and have worked well for me
Mine is in the ceiling...do they make these for the vents in the ceiling as opposed to the floor or wall systems? Thank you!!
Ni
Thanks for the video, and keep up the great work!
Try to stop me ;)
I use ac infinity in my indoor garden they have superior products. Pay to play. They are expensive. Adding inline booster fans at $20 ea. Might be a cheaper alternative and you dont get the noise plus you get to keep your outlets. Imo
Funny that you also love EGO products - I think the booster fans are a good idea but most people will have trouble installing
Was thinking that propeller thingy would work to keep my cats off the hot heater vents so they don't burn themselves but my vents are to close to the wall. The vents are too hot to the touch. Don't know how to keep my cats off the vents ugh.
Whenever I watch one of your videos I look at my life and go, it's obviously not comfortable enough yet 😆. Amazing find! I'm a little shocked at how well it performs. But does this mean the HVAC shuts off sooner? Or does this mean you can choose a thermostat setting that's more efficient? My house doesn't have a a multiple sensor thermostat.
It really means your house temperature can be more even
You're amazed at "how well this works," but the ask if the HVAC is going to shut off sooner? Did you really install one?
@@Kitearmy how are you doing I have no heat in my living room and bed room and my living is 72 on the thermostat,it's freezing in my house I have heat in my living room temporarily but no heat in my bedroom at all,my heat coming on intermittently, the inspector said I have heat, but they said it might be the duct work, I said the same thing, the management doesn't care about fixing the problem properly they know it needs more work,
The propeller test is what sold me. I'm buying this!
Thanks - I liked the propeller test too!!
Looks awesome! Only downside for me is the plug.
Thats true. Although, it's no problem for a updated receptacle with USB ports.
@@2snipe1 I wonder if this could be powered by USB
.just because its causing more airflow doesnt mean the heat or cold is reaching that vent any better? so it would just be pushing more air?
I have a ceiling AC/Heat vent that is square shaped and too small for the room. The duct work snakes around a lot in my attic similar to what you described in this video. It’s hot in summer and cold in winter. Would it be possible to install your product in my attic over this room and let it function in conjunction with the existing system without altering the existing system. If so, I guess I would have to have or install a power source in the attic? Does this approach make sense and what are your thoughts. Thank you in advance.
I would consider that an option if I was you - they also sell in vent models but they need power as well
This will be so perfect for my 103 degree room
Confused about the thermostat. Does the fan came on when the room temperature is set, or the temperature of the air coming through. I feel like the air coming through as the same temperature regardless of what your thermostat is set up.
It just controls the set point to turn the unit on or off
Great review! Thanks for posting this. Out of curiosity, were you able to solve your problem with one Airtap 4 or did you need multiple units?
1 per room fixed the problems - 2 rooms in total
@@Kitearmy During the summer months, how much of a temperature variance do you think there was before you installed the Airtap 4?
@@idealynx I would say about 8-10 degrees
@@Kitearmy Wow! That's huge. I just set mine up about an hour ago and I'm testing it now. I'm trying to solve a 4-6 degree difference, so your comment is encouraging. I'll update this thread as soon as I know more.
@@idealynx it takes a few days to get it right (speed wise and turn on temp). All I can say is that my wife is happy with it.
i have angled registers is there anything i can do like this ?
Is it ok if I shut one of 3 bedrooms on the top level of Tri-split level 1500 sqft house ? It's hot like hell in here ?
you have to try it
All my vents are on ceiling so the plug in/cord would look really bad in my house. Cool product if you have floor or wall vents
this would be odd on the ceiling - they do have some products that can go inside the vents
I was going to say the same thing here. My vents are on ceiling.
@@yesla4tesla yeah my parents home is like that. I guess when there is no basement that is how most of the duct work is run. Just FYI Ac infinity sells models that can be installed in the ducts. Though I don't know how well they work.
Yup just seen the video my rooms gets the sun all day looking for something like this but again my vent is also on the ceiling
That sounds like a very simple small cord track fix. Install track and paint it the wall color. That’s what I plan on doing, rather than spending money to try and regulate one room (farthest from HVAC). I’ll take barely noticeable wall track over super hot or cold any day.
I understand about the cooling part, this fan will turn on once it hits the temp without the need for the entire hvac to run.
But how is it going to help to warm the room during winter?? Withouth the heater turn on, this little fan wont do warm right ?
IT just balances your house - it does not heat
Our vents are on the ceiling, any suggestions?
what about registers that is on the ceiling? What are people doing with the fact that this needs to be plugged in?
I tacked the cord to ceiling to outlet
Do all modern hvac systems have a filter in the plenum located in the attic? I thought it just has the filter at the intake located inside the house?
Most modern systems have one or the other. Either intake filters, or the big filter that sits in the handler.
How about add a wifi phone controlled room air conditioner? Either install a window unit, portable, or get a mini split installed. Whole house central air can't be customized for each room. These options can be set for each room. Have both central air and these room climate control devices in place.
Do you think these would help a bedroom that have stuffy stale air in it?
def if you have forced air - just helps push more into the space
You should not be using those type of filters…they restrict the air flow too much. Ask any AC person and they will tell you NOT to use these type of filters you are promoting in this video. That filter alone will make a difference in the air flow you have coming out of your ductwork.
Can these infinity fan go on the ceiling of your other vents where the Air comes out?
yes- just need power
this could also work for pellet and wood stoves if you cut a hole in the wall so let's say your kitchen area is the middle of the house and just down the hall way is a room put one of these in the wall and vent it to the bed room
True
Do they make a version that works on your recirculation venting?
Yes - I have not tested
It seems like it's just a fan but it has a hot and cold. Why? Why do you need to change it?
This is just my case now. Just moved into an apartment in Manchester and discovered that the rooms are so cold ❄️ and also the sun 🌞 doesn't even get to the room. Just as if the rooms is backing the Sun 🌞..
Register fans may solve your problem but they don't work for ceiling supply ducts.
You look just like Stuart from Madtv. Is it just me? 😂
Thanks for the help!
Happy to help!
I recently installed this. The fan seems to cool the hot air that is coming out of the vent (I have a wood burning stove in the living room) and put a vent and a register in the cold upstairs bedroom. This definitely pulls the air up but the fans seem to cool down the air. Is that normal?
yes - it will draw more hot air into the room
@@Kitearmy how long do I need to run the fan before I see a difference?
@@vekambar you have to give it a few hours to stabilize - I would turn up the fan speed
The issue I have is the basement is freezing even though the vents are closed, and the second floor is just right temperature.
I bought some but I’m not quite sure how to use it. It says that the fan comes on if the temp is below the temp set for the ac thing and I just don’t understand 🤦🏼♀️
set the AC temp at 70 and start there
I agree lol. No matter how many videos I watch or things I read my brain won't register (no pun intended). I have a basement studio apartment and the temperature upstairs is set to 76. If I understand it correctly, I need to set the cooling function to 77 for it to kick on with the heat function turned off. I have my fan component set to 10. But it doesn't kick on and off. It just stays on... So I'm stuck lol.
@@Jfuzzy85 makes sure you don't leave it on fan speed mode - otherwise it will stay on. If this helps, please sub
I'm not endorsing this one way or the other. When AC is on the temperature of the air coming out your vent should be between 50 to 60 degrees so when the device detects the cooler temperature it turns on the fan to try and bring more of it into the room
Nice video, does the fan work automatically with the Furninece
Yes - works great - turns on automatically
Flair is a good one too
great tip
It moves air ok. But is the air at the temperature you want?
Fixed my 2 rooms - raised the temp about 5 degrees
I just got one of these. My room is always hot in the summer. It's usually about 73-75 with the a/c on. If I want this to cool my room to the max what should I set it on. Obviously the fan speed at 10 but should I set the thermostat at 68 or should I set it as low as it goes
70 should do the trick - just enough to trigger the blower. Make sure you sub and like
I have floor vents in my house so I just went and bought a new high speed fan every room in my house and put the fan in front of the vents and like magic cold air all the way across the room my house stay cooler longer and the unit running less and when I am away from home I can turn my unit off and let the fans do the work when I am gone for 4 hours or more will the fans quick cooling and shorter time frame and also directional turning the fans anyway you want for instance gratification high speed fans will do the best trick
these pull air from the system
@@Kitearmy yep good cold air instantly
Do they have any that fit baseboard registers?
don't think so
Does the wire need to stay when I am using it or does it run on rechargeable batteries? If so, what's the life of each charge?
yes it powers the fans
so if I have the vent on the ceiling, I need a power outlet next to it or run a wire to the outlet whereever it is?
@@maverick6f yep
Just ordered mine, The air barley flows in through the vent compared to the others. 👍
This fixed my problem
It does NOT tell you the temperature of the room. It tells you the temperature of the air from the ac/heater. When you set its temperature, you are telling it what temperature you ac/heater puts out when active. That way it turns off when it detects the heat pump or compressor is off. It does not work like a common thermostat.
That's inaccurate. It is exactly like a thermostat. He even goes through the setup that is exactly like a thermostat. That being said. It's proximity to the vent will cause it to not be accurate as a normal thermostat.

Great idea. If only there we’re actually outlets located anywhere near existing registers

Anyone know where to find booster fans for baseboard registers?
I know they have line boosters - these may work
I would buy is there was a battery based one. My air vents are in tue ceiling
I think you can screw it to the ceiling
So does it rob other areas?
It's more like ballancing than robbing
So.. how would it cool. I know it doesn’t have Freon condenser dryer and so on lol. Is it just a fan to cool?
When you AC kicks on -then these fans push that cooler air into the room
@@Kitearmy oh ok. Idk why i didnt think of that. I must have been half asleep when i posted that lol
@@AverageReviewsYT No way mate - it's not EGO so who cares :)
this is not a sound experiment. you need to do roter rotations via CONTROL which is propeller on airtap on the floor (not under a register), and then you need to subtract out the register effect to see how well it REALLY does
Right- but it does cool the room
Should I be using at the same temp in the ac?
no that is the threshold - set them at different temps
@@Kitearmy awesome thank you
How cold can the ac infinity go up to
remember this does not cool itself - it blows cool air

My only issue with it is the power. I hope there's an option to hard wire.
Sure with a little creativity
except the wires and plug thing.... will try one...
it would be nice if it was solar or something - but still great solution
But wont it take away airflow from the other rooms, the cool airflow has to come from somewhere
yes - that will require ballancing
thanks for info but only works if i have a plug or willing to have extension cords all over...not for me but other solutions are there that don't require a plug - you're awesome though :)
Have you found a solution? I have the same dilemma.
I bought two of these and they didn't work for us at all. Barely any increase in air flow and they were very noisy.
Waste of money.
my vents are in the ceiling, no outlets up there. ;-(
There is no wireless model of this? In this day and age I'm not buying something with an awkward wire coming out.
yep - requires to much power
What if you put a fan in front of your vent lol
It looks like a nice product but the drawback is that it needs to be plugged in. It would very difficult to run power to the ceiling.
yep - battery powered would be good too
The AC is on. my hallway is cold but my room is hot
do it
Does it raise your electric bill?
probably a few cents a month
@@Kitearmy Thank you!
My targeted vent is on the ceiling. I thought about adding this and then fishing the wire through the ceiling and down the wall, and then drilling out a hole near my outlet. I could run the wire through this and then plug it in. Might look cleaner this way. Thoughts anyone???
