Is the Allant+ 7S from Trek the commuter king? We think it is.

    Hi handsome guys, what an intro, lol. More of that please. I have an interest in this brand and model. I would like to know if upgrading the Bosch mid motor for a new 2022 highest end one , along with the Shimano shifters to the wireless , what do you think and my upgrades?

      Thank you for your comments and questions, they are appreciated. I run the SRAM AXS shifting on my "Rail" and it is simply the best and a worthy upgrade to any drivetrain. As far as upgrading the motor, I do not believe this is possible. However, the Bosch motor that this comes with is the same one found on their MTBs. The difference is the watt-hours of the battery. The 7S & 8S are 550 and the 9S is 625.

    Hey guys. Great vid. I’m in Marana and am thinking hard about getting this exact bike. Any thoughts about this for use on gravel, dirt roads, etc?

    • @GetOutArizona

      Hey Gino, thank you for watching as well as your feedback. Both are greatly appreciated. I would classify this bike as being used by a commuter that will experience a multi surface route. That being said, if you’re off-roading and gravel are not extreme, i.e. packed asphalt, graded fire/access road, canal path, maybe some light gravel paths, I feel this bike would do just fine. Of course, I push my bikes to the absolute limit but I’m also a goofball. 😉
      I hope this answer was helpful to you, my friend. If you have anymore questions, do not hesitate to ask. Once again, thank you for your support and always adventure safe.

    😂 Just found your channel. Hilarious 😂. My question guys? This bike has been recommended for touring long distances. The power booster sounds great. What can you suggest? Thank you for sharing. Ride On!

      Hey Nelson, thanks for taking the time to watch as well as leave feedback and ask your question. All are appreciated.
      You can use this for touring and will see a decent amount of mileage if you leave it in eco mode. Of course, riding conditions and total weight will affect the range as well as the choice of tires. I would purchase this bike first without the boost to see if it suited my needs before I went the route of the booter. I hope this answer is helpful, my friend. Thanks again for the support.

      Thanks for the feedback back on the audio. What about it was unacceptable to you? I’m playing the video now and I’m not noticing any clipping or hissing.
      And yes, I do love the Allant+ series.

      @@GetOutArizona On my setup - which is a BT connection from a high end mini desktop to a pair of $7k hearing aids, it sounded tinny and "unpresent." This could be something going on with my setup - but, I have very good audio quality on YT vids, streaming content and DVD content.
      I am five decade rider. My other bike is a Domane 5.2. I got the e-bike to smooth out the hills a little (I am 76 yo) and I've turned into a speed junkie. 😏 See:

    Hey! What’s the Drivetrain set up on that thing? And ,..is that model equipped w/Hydraulic Brakes since it’s so fast? (..I’d agree that it seems too cool for Fenders / Racks 🙄) so,..for my taste like him,..chuck ‘em!!…a big BackPack would suffice for groceries gettin’!!!! 😏Use all that so-called Power Assistance like that‼️🤨👌🏾🚴🏾💨

      Great questions my friend. Yes, the breaks are hydraulic and the drivetrain is Alivio.

      The racks and fenders are a must for a bike like this imo I think they make the bike look cooler

    Hmm, this, or a Domane AL+? The Domane seems like a better bike for less money, unless I am wrong? I know the Domane is a road bike but still.

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  Рік тому +1

      Hey Jimmy, great question, and thank you for asking. I wouldn't say you are incorrect. Questions like this often have a degree of subjectiveness to them. Ultimately, I feel the Domane will offer greater versatility, gravel, endurance, and road, but as far as a straight commuter, I would go with the Allant+ series.
      I hope this answer was helpful to you. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to ask your question.

    Is this bike very upright or would the Trek Verve+ be better for that? i have back problems and do not want to be aero.

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  Рік тому

      Great question; thank you for asking. This bike is quite upright as it's considered a commuter and very comfortable on short or longer rides. It has a different feel than the Verve+, but I feel the ride comfort level is similar. Having some back issues myself, I wouldn't regret owning either one of these bikes. However, I would personally choose the Allant. It just fits me better.
      I hope this answer is helpful, my friend. Thank you for watching.
