Honestly, I couldn't feel more undeserving or grateful and it's a very overpowering combo. First of all, this song choice is truly unparalleled. It's so them. Which shows so clearly in how perfectly you managed to hit every single emotional beat with a scene choice that punched me in the gut and then grabbed me in a vice like choke hold. And the way you captured what is truly the most beautiful aspect of their whole beautiful story just has me in tears. You've perfectly illustrated the absolute devotion, the never ending support, the patience, the commitment to each other's wellbeing. It's stunning. And I'm truly stunned by how effortless you make capturing such a depth of emotion look, because _how_ ? Seriously 3:13 and you never once drop the ball - or let me breathe, to be honest. I was afraid to even move lest I break the spell. I'm truly struggling for words, and not because I don't know what I want to say, but because I truly don't have any idea where to even begin to explain how much this has moved me. I don't even know how many times I've watched this now, and I'm still bouncing between smiling and tearing up. It's just an unbelievably moving tribute, and my words just cannot do your incredible work justice. By the way, the text work? Just gorgeous, it fits so beautifully. And I know you're not a fan of text work in general, which always makes it that much more charming to see how well you pull of the perfect choice every time. I also appreciate how the text work exists to highlight just how wonderful your lyric matching - I know I'm a broken record who comments the same thing on every edit - always is. Okay, I can't settle on how to comment in a way that this truly deserves, so I'm just going to point out some of the moments which hit me the hardest, I hope you don't mind; The intro, with the bracelet sinking as the music starts in earnest? Absolutely gorgeous. Agatha flipping the 'lovers' card fading into them kissing on the beach! Drake's little heartbroken face paired with the line 'both were meant to fall apart' is cruel, but also perfection. Like, the best kind of emotional torture. And the imagery of the broken rocks was just the most exquisite visual poetry, especially moving from Drake in the mine to Morwenna with her flowers. Visual storytelling of the highest order. I'm entranced. Speaking of flowers...the parallels with the winter primroses?? I am about three seconds away from a true emotional breakdown. The way you incorporated the 'I believe it is our duty to find happiness' line was just so prettily done. Again, your knack for visual storytelling is incredible. Using those particular shots over 'what's become of us' is a stroke of evil genius - Inner Sith leaping out, perhaps? I let out a most unattractive noise at the 'your heart is locked inside' moment. Forget what I just said about the Inner Sith...THIS is your inner Sith arriving to the party looking entirely too pleased with itself. 'Free your ghosts' over Morwenna telling Drake what happened to her? That's just brutal, but in the best way. Seriously, I wish I could adequately compliment these choices, because the thought that has gone into them is just insane. I'm genuinely blown away, and truly in awe. The 'I'll never ask 'ee for more' combined with Drake slowly lowering their clasped hands?? That one made me gasp out loud it's so beautifully conceived. His whole proposal speech paired with the perfect scenes to show how right he is? How they never needed the carnal side of romance before to be fulfilled in their relationship? Vale, this is so beautifully done T_____T 'What is life if 'ee live it alone' those clip choices?? (And doubly so with hers, because she was so alone at that moment. Not just romantically, she had _no one_ and I want to weep). All the parallels just stabbed me in the gut in the best way (especially the 'you're safe ones'). I'm truly just sat here with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat because this beauty simply cannot be dedicated to me. It _can't_ And just reading the description. I truly cannot say enough how much your friendship has meant to me this year. It's a privilege I will never fully feel I deserve to call you my friend. Especially when you say such lovely things. I've honestly never read a description that has brought me to tears in such a way. I'm truly honoured in every way. Just thank you, so, so very much. For absolutely everything.
Imagine thinking you're the one whose words fail her when I've been sitting for _hours_ trying to come up with an intelligent response to this amazing little essay and coming up with NOTHING at all (as someone who is trying to become a translator sometime in the future, this bodes extremely well I would say 🤦). I can only say how much it warms my heart that this could even remotely hit the mark with you, arguably the forever Drawenna queen. Overthinking and being overly apprehensive -as always- about some of the lyric-matching is probably what held back this video from beng completed for so long, but I cannot say I regret any of that when you get the exact same thought and vibes I was aiming for from the finished product. That makes me incredibly happy. Also...whenever I think back on us having basically enjoyed the same things for years and only started to talk properly about any of them last year, I just want to club myself on the head, but I'm so, so very glad that we did at last. One of my top saving graces of this rather upsetting 2020 by far. Thank _you_ for sticking with me ♥️

I mean, they were already top quality tv -not to mention, gorgeously shot and acted from day 1- because this show was always excellent (I miss it a lot sometimes), but you missed possibly my favourite overall seasons. Now I know what to bother you endlessly with now that Medici is no longer an option, I guess :'D in the meantime, I'm so happy you liked this even without the full context surrounding these two sunbeams ♥️ hopefully defeating Covid for good will only be a starting point of good things happening to us in this year to come.
