    Amplifier = Air Warmer right? So if it is cold outside, it makes the world around you a bit warmer. ;)

    how do you oscilate the power amp with the preamp in the same line?, manually connecting and disconnecting it during a conversation seems unpracticle

      @@HamRadioDX hi there, since you answered i have trying to find information on what is an antenna relay adn how does it works, and i cant find anything satisfactory, all i cand find has another terminology and doesnt quite relate to amp and preamp switching.
      Can you help with this, perhaps posting a link to a buy page of an antenna relay or a you tube video of a relay? maybe a text page? really appreciate it

    I love solid state amplifiers.

      The best, I need to get one myself, although we are limited to 400W pX and 120W pY here

      @@HamRadioDX not to worry, my amplifier is also extremely capable of exceeding our legal limit here. That said, that's probably good as I can do high duty cycle modes (eg. RTTY) with ease.

      @@HamRadioDX most don’t realize how the low bands works mostly 160m 5/15w on 160 on a compromised antenna say 40m you are only radiating 2w and trying to qso 1000miles with poor audio all muffled from a hand mic good luck 😉 add 100w and we can tweak our knobs to pull sun out but add a kilowatt and we can communicate to change sum of the audio profile and explain how to build 4” open spaced feedline and a proper hw dipole 😉👍😫me preaching

    Amp = qrm for others, good neighbors, poor ant if you cant work the world with qrp, and deep pockets.

    So, DON'T blow up your equipment?

    • @HamRadioDX
      @HamRadioDX  3 роки тому

      Pretty much. There is a video of a guy doing a live stream when his amp blows up... scares the s*** out of him
