I love how Knarfy stumbles upon an applied energistics meteor, which is pretty much one of the most popular tech mods in existence

Seeing a person explore mods that I've experienced 100s of times will always be funny
always fun to see someone with apparently zero modding experience being unleashed in a big kitchensink modpack. you forget just how much stuff you just naturally understand after a while.

I find modrinth to be MUCH easier to navigate than curseforge is. Even if it’s missing a couple mods, it’s a huge improvement from forge if you’re just casually playing
Downloading are also soo much faster on modrith
Ah yes, judging a whole mod hosting website by playing a random modpack with tons of mods, most of them already present of Curseforge is the most fair way to do it

might I add the point he did not mention that you can find most of these mods on curse forge... modrinth is simply a way to find them so it should more depend on the website than the mods contained

I honestly prefer that there will not be a competition. It was bad enough when mods were just split between MC versions. Then Fabric released and mods also became split between mod loaders. Now do you also want to split them between mod platforms to make it more painful to make and publish a modpack?
They forgot to add better Nether and better end, they are actually available on modrinth I'm pretty sure

Mods I recognized: Applied Energistics (from the meteorite), Inventory Tweaks (three of the four buttons in the chest GUI), ... that's it.

Modrinth just visually looks more appealing.
The green and white (Or black) pallete just appeases your eyes, and the fact that there's no ads.
The mods are just generally higher quality. Even one of the least downloaded mods looked decent!

this pack has only like 90 ish mods thats considered a fairly light modpack, on average packs have probably a bit more than 100 mods, there are even some packs that go beyond like 400 mods that still run well

Honnestly you can't judge a mod platform by the quality of the mods, since every platforms have the same, the only things that have to be considered are the number of mods availables and the quality of the platform
The one bad thing, it doesn't have all the mods, it only has only the big ones.

I've pretty much switched to Modrinth entirely, only using Curseforge when ABSOLUTELY needed. I'll find alternative mods on Modrinth before going to Curseforge. I never have used the Curseforge launcher either, preferring Prism Launcher (and before that, PolyMC, which was pretty much abandoned due to drama) because I mostly play moded ANYWAY. Plus Curseforge's launcher is just bloat, despite me having a PC capible of running it without issue, I do prefer Prism's ~50MB-100MB of RAM used vs Curseforge's ~1GB-2GB used due to it being basically just a stripped down Chromium and a wrapper for the vanilla launcher (which already uses around 300MB-600MB of RAM as is). Granted, I also have a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, RTX 4090, and 96GB of RAM, but y'know, still!

Modrinth can even import packs, and clients like ATLauncher can export in a modrinth friendly format, so I got Create Astral up and running and launch from Modrinth. Beaut. Chef kiss. Modrinth launches SO FAST and is SO NICE.
