    When I started to experience dreams and vision, I didn’t understand. I went to my church and they told me I was possessed. As I ran back and begged God to deliver me, he would speak to me and tell me to read specific scripture. The scripture supported that what I was being told was from God! So, I prayed. Back and forth I went. I had to get separation from the physical church. They don’t understand prophecy and they fear a false prophet so they reject all prophets. In this season of separation, Jesus by way of the Holy Spirit taught me. He is the teacher still today.

      I have similar experience. My former church people rejected me by saying that I’m a fake prophet. God’s response was to ask me to start a UA-cam channel and deliver His prophetic words every day to show them He is the Lord.

    While I may have a few disagreements with Brother Danziel, this is a topic that "sophisticated" believers hand waive as nonsense. They ought not do so. We have become too worried about being cultured, and not worried enough about premonitions and dreams inspired of the Holy Ghost. Scripture record simply...
    1 Thessalonians 5:20
    Despise not prophesyings.
    Yet, it is not that easy. We must be honest about how our community falls prey to willful ignorance of the truth. Christians do exaggerate their experiences. There are many tall tales in Pentecostal circles. I'm not trying mean spirited, but if we don't address this head on, it will only drive away truth seekers. I'm not just talking about ear pieces, paid actors, predictions in broad strokes, and all manner of preacher lore. There are pastors that buy sermons detailing experiences they never had because the show must go on. That's a real thing. Then you have the prophets of averages. They mostly get it right, but sometimes they miss. Let's look at God's standard.
    Deuteronomy 18:18-22
    I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. BUT THE PROPHET, WHICH SHALL PRESUME TO SPEAK A WORD IN MY NAME, WHICH I HAVE NOT COMMANDED HIM TO SPEAK, OR THAT THAT SHALL SPEAK IN THE NAME OF OTHER GODS, EVEN THAT PROPHET SHALL DIE. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
    So God's method of detecting a false prophet is easy. If it doesn't come true, don't be afraid of him. Further more, that person should not live. That is serious business. Yet that it gets hard to tell over the bleating of sheep. UA-cam filled with Christians flinging around their own customized, "Thus sayeth the Lord!" Where is the fear of God? If I am not quoting scripture, I will tell you it is my opinion. Is it a light matter to speak on behalf of the Holy Ghost?
    There are many Christians that will fabricate stories to communicate an important virtue or admonition. That is not acceptable. The ends do not justify the means. It is better to tell a home spun parable, where it is understood that the factual nature of the story is not the point, than to bare false witness against God himself. That is dangerous! So many Christians run around claiming, "God told me this, God told me that." Did he really? Here's the thing, if God told you something, it's not possible to get it wrong. Prophesying is not a skill. It's literally passing on a message. If I told my assistant to inform your team that we will meet on the 8th floor instead of the lobby, that is not some difficult feat that requires concentration. You don't need to go to school for that ability. Just do it. Now the question remains, did I really tell my assistant that message? If I did, and she is obedient, there is no convoluted path to conveying that truth.
    Here is a hint to Christians who want to prioritize their spiritual life. If God attaches a death penalty to something, TAKE IT SEROUSLY!
    I don't say this to discourage prophecy. Gun safety should not be a deterrent responsible gun use. Child safety should not be a deterrent of child rearing. Fire safety should not be a deterrent of proper uses of fire. So to a proper fear of the Lord should not deter honest prophets.

      While I respect your perspective, I want you to read the next verse.
      1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 ESV
      Do not despise prophecies, [21] but test everything; hold fast what is good.
      TEST. While I'm not naive to false prophecies, my job is not to fear the prophetic, my job is to mature in the prophetic. It's not my will, according to 1cor 14, it should be one of the highest desired gifts. Just because those around us fall sleep to that truth, doesn't mean I have to.
      As far as old testament, there are many sins worth being put to death. So we have to bring the new covenant in. The Holy Spirit is now poured out to all flesh. We might be behind in hearing God because we ignore Him.
      Acts 2:17 ESV
      "'And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;
      Job 33:14-15 ESV
      For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it. [15] In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, while they slumber on their beds,
      Hope you understand what I'm saying. At least in my country in America, there's so much stagnation and fear of the gift of prophecy (which SHOULD BE one of the most used gifts,) but we don't keep that same energy here for all the other gifts.

      @@EmunStudio Oh we agree on both honoring and seeking spiritual gifts.
      1 Corinthians 14:1
      Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
      My point is that the proving is not done by the speaker, but the hearer.
      1 Thessalonians 5:20-21
      Despise not prophesyings.
      Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
      It is the hearer that that needs to prove all things. The speaker, if he is genuinely being told a message, is already certain. Now your Job quotation is interesting. Here is where the Bible can get tricky. Not all words in holy scripture are the words of the Lord. So while it is true that certain words are spoken, they may not be true themselves. Job spoke truthfully, yet his friends did err, and had to repent of their false accusations of Job. Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite all had to repent of falsely characterizing God. The Lord was wroth and command Job to pray for them. They argued that if something evil befalls you, it is NECESSARILY a case of punishment for sin. This is not true, but it true that they argued that case.
      Job 2:9
      Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.
      Should we curse God and die? Now it is TRUE that Job's wife said that, but those are not true instructions on what a person in adversity ought to do.
      Your preoccupation with prophesying is good. Especially in these times. I don't want to discourage your pursuit. I just want to encourage a biblical approach. How can we say God is not the author of confusion, but when God speaks to us, we get confused?
      Job 33:14-15
      For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
      Job's friends spoke contrary to what God is like, not out of malice, but out of emotion. That is my warning to Christians. Don't be like Job's friends that lean on their emotions instead of cannon.

      @@LeopardKing-im4bm hey fam, we just disagree. Prophecy is to be in a learning environment for the New testament believer. I can post scripture all day, but that isn't the way of love. Main thing is do we know Jesus. That's where I stand and will have to end this. Stay close to Jesus. I help train Christians in the prophetic, this is what this channel is about. If you want to get in, just text or email me. God bless you.
