No it won't. Man is way, way overrated. He has had a ton of breaks and COME ON MAN, it's AL in the SEC.
One ex of his breaks. 2004 OU loses Big 12 conf game 35-7 and gets to play LSU in NC game vs LSU being scheduled against USC.
Had the BCS formula for 2004 been what it was the years before OR after 2004, LSU would have played USC.

How has recruiting changed? Well first and foremost... Nebraska can't recruit partial qualifiers anymore. Nebraska made their money on recruiting guys that could barely make it into a JUCO now days. That was huge, because Nebraska's academics don't draw kids the way other Big Ten schools do.
Throw on top of that a city and state with very little to do in it... especially during the offseason, and you get a place that a lot of kids don't want to go.

Its very unlikely we will have a winning record this year. Nebraska is saw ranked 8th all time. Built in a weak conference. Now in the second best conference in the country. Will rarely be over .500 in this conference.
Nebraska doesn't have a single player on the roster from east of 84th and North of Dodge.

Huskers job is a top tier job...but fire Frost before year 4?!? Nope! Huskers are LOADED with talent and the talent pool can match any place in the country...that isn't an issue...analyst don't understand that it is rich ...check the wwalk-on program. Huskers are a few plays away from being a top 5 team this year! This season is FARR from over....they play.. as well as they have the rest of the season.....Huskers may win the West in 21' Favorite in 22'...playoff i. 23' The 247, Rivals ect....Nebraska in those years recruited about the same as today...15th-ish and add the rich talent of walk-ons and that moved them inside of the top 10. The Nebraska way wins 🏆..

Loaded with talent... yet we can't beat Illinois ha ha.
This season ended when we lost to Illinois and the steak was driven in when we lost to Michigan State. We're got to get 4 more wins just to make it to a bowl game, and our remaining schedule is: Northwestern, Michigan, at Minnesota, Purdue, Ohio State, at Wisconsin, and Iowa.
There's only 2 games on that schedule we'll be favored for... the Northwestern game today, and the Purdue game. Going to have to get not one, but TWO upsets just to go bowling. It's not happening this year.
No OL (which is in it's 3rd year under Frost and Austen) and no Special Teams. We could have Tom Brady back there throwing to Jerry Rice with Barry Sanders as our RB and it wouldn't matter. Looking at a 4-5 win season again. I predicted 7, but that was us beating Illinois, Fordham, Buffalo, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue, and then getting one upset this year. That ain't happening now.

Toughest job in the country? No freaking way. The PROGRAM has all the tools. Nebraska just needs to pull it’s head out of its blank. Both players and COACHES. So stop with G. D. EXCUSES. And fire Greg Austin (o-line coach).

    • @kylebeggs3845
      @kylebeggs3845 3 роки тому

      What tools?
Outdated facilities, hence the need build new ones. An outdated stadium, there are high school stadiums in this country nicer than Memorial Stadium. Subpar Academics, quite possibly the lowest academic standards in the Big Ten. A program that hasn't been to a bowl game in almost a decade now...
Let's look at the state now...
An ultraconservative state, the younger generations are more and more liberal thinking now days. A city with nothing to do in it... literally nothing. A state where you get surprisingly low bang for your buck. Some of the worst weather in the country...
The University and State don't have the tools. People think they do, but they don't. The reason Nebraska was so good long ago was because of the partial qualifiers. Kids that couldn't even get into some JUCOs were able to get into Nebraska.
If Cam Newton was around in the 90's there's a very high possibility that he would have been here at Nebraska. After his troubles at Florida he couldn't academically qualify for any 4 year University because of the rules that were present. Those rules weren't there when Osborne coached, and Newton is the type of guy Osborne liked to take a chance on... low academics, trouble with the law.

More excuses for the irrelevant, former blue blood known as Nebraska. This is just sad at this point. Nebraska is a tough gig but it pales in comparison to jobs like Stanford, Notre Dame, and even Michigan with their academic standards. Nebraska fans can’t keep lying to themselves about what they can expect from their program. It ain’t 1994 anymore, recruiting isn’t good enough, and high school sports in NE are garbage.
