Crazy to hear someone say Minish Cap "wipes the floor" with the Oracle games. I love Minish Cap and it is severely underrated, but the Oracle games are better, more tightly developed games and tbh I don't think it's close.
Yeah, I honestly prefer the Oracle games to Minish Cap. Not that the Minish Cap is bad, I was just kind of disappointed with some aspects of it, like the lack of dungeons and the whole kinstone thing.
This was a great surprise drop they did. Super Mario advance 4 with all the card levels is sweet, I'm just surprised they didn't release Metroid fusion or zero mission to go with the Metroid prime announcement.
Metroid Fusion was shown as coming soon, Metroid Zero Mission was part of the leak that contained the GBA emulator the Switch is using a few years ago. Both will come, eventually. (All the released titles in this drop and the coming soon ones were part of said leaked emulator and pack)
Ah, Nintendo just being Nintendo, amirite? Their loss. Because even by Metroid standards, the GBA Metroid duology (alongside the Metroid Prime trilogy (to quadrilogy), Super Metroid and the Metroid 2 remakes) are, like, the best in the series!
@@leatherhidegaming yea been subbed on a family plan with my friend and it’s been a year and a half before they finally added these consoles, and one is just free without the expansion pack
I like the lineup so far! As long as the library (and the other NSO libraries) keep getting games added I'll be happy. Let's see some weird stuff on there!
Everyone is often rather harsh on Super Mario Kart Super Circuit, but I still really like it. I unlocked all the tracks and played the hell out of it back then on the GBA. I think the handling is rather tight too and doesn't seem to punish players as much as some Mario kart games do.
People often seem to think the game is basically the same as Super Mario Kart. Yet, Super Circuit actually has good AI, some of the coolest shortcuts in Mario Kart, and way more varied track design.
@@menstesticles eh, I think the original SMK is still playable and fun too. It's better then most pre-Mode-7 racing games. Just being able to move your car all the way around is something gamers now take for granted.
Having all 20 Super Mario Kart tracks on top of its 20 unique tracks was insane! Even after this game, Double Dash didn't do retro tracks...it didn't become something permanently associated with the franchise until DS.
I’m holding out for Pokémon day when I’m willing to bet we will get all the GBA and GB Pokémon games. Huge drop and then functionality for N64 Pokémon stadium etc.
It's a pretty good lineup all around for the GBA releases as well as the GameBoy ones. I would like to see more titles, but I do think they made the right move in releasing some of their more successful first-party titles before they start adding more games. Really eager to see more from them for this list though. There are so many great games they can include. Also have to say that the release of Mario 3 with all the e-Reader content would have been enough for me to finally shell out for the expansion pack if not for the fact I already purchased the game on my WiiU years ago.
The lineup is good, but gotta wonder what took them so long. The Switch has been out for ages by now, and looking back at the Wii Virtual Console, you just got to be a little bit sad...
I mean, Wii VC didn't have any handheld titles available for it (and Wii U never had GB/GBC, though it DID have DS games). Granted, their 400-plus (for Wii) and 300-plus (Wii U) libraries DO still make the Switch's look sad.
I wouldn't say the reviews for Kuru Kuru Kururin are representative for how good the game actually is. It's a very polished action-puzzle game with a sweet soundtrack and amazing level design. It's fairly short, but the replay value is strong to do everything no-damage and beat every time trial. The silly plot isn't exactly a strong point, but it's still fairly fun for what it is. And outside of that, there's literally just no flaws to the game. It does what it does and it does so perfectly. The only thing the Japan-only sequel offered on top of this was also more of the same except it got a notch harder.
I don't understand why you'd go through the hassle of hunting down old magazines and not check Japanese magazines if the games themselves are all Japanese. If you did that you'd realise kuru kuru kururin is very well regarded by reviewers at the time, just not "western reviewers".
The Minish Cap gameplay footage shown does not do justice to the original game. This is obviously an emulator version with a filter to smooth the pixels. And that looks objectively ugly.
I've always been a massive fan of the Mario & Luigi RPG series of games, replayed Superstar Saga in it's entirety the day the Expansion Pass came out. The game is 100% worth a playthrough, it's a more relaxed and you don't have to use a lot of brain power when playing either, the game being about 20hrs to complete, it's a very easy pick up and play title even for novices to the RPG genre and turn based combat.
I think even today Wario Ware does deserve a lot of recognition, not only for its quick gameplay but also for its particular art style and humour, which makes it pretty memorable.
I'm suprised how ahead of it's time that wario ware review was about how handheld games don't need to be console experiences on the go. I'm glad some smaller or short playtime games are coming back to handhelds.
While I prefer to actually own my games, I can say with certainty that I fell in love with most of these games pretty soon after playing. The only ones I was a bit iffy on were Mario Kart: Super Circuit (many of the same problems as the snes one) and Super Mario Advance 4 (just cuz it's a remake). Warioware and Mario and Luigi are still some of my favorite games, and Kuru Kuru Kururin is highly underrated
I definitely agree with you about owning physical games, but there are a lot of advantages to these kinds of retro game drops on the Nintendo Switch Online (and other services). For one thing, it does a good job of introducing younger and more casual players to a lot of games they may have missed. You see some of that in this comments section, where people are having a great time playing The Minish Cap for the first time. And how many American gamers would have sought out Kuru Kuru Kururin, a game that was never released over here? Not many. Millions of gamers will discover Kuru Kuru Kururin for the first time because of a service like that, and as far as I'm concerned, that's a great thing.
I remember the Super Mario Advance series games coming out one by one. I found the titling very confusing and because I played all the games already on Super Mario All-Stars + World I didn’t get any of it. And the colors are weird because the GBA has a very odd color space.
What's especially funny is that Electronic Gaming Monthly as a whole actually preferred Golden Sun to Superstar Saga. When they reviewed Golden Sun in issue #150, EGM gave it an average score of 9 out of 10. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga only managed an 8.8 out of 10. Though, it's worth noting, that Kevin did not review Golden Sun.
The Game Boy Advance has an impressive library of awesome games, and even now, over a year after, there are still plenty of awesome games they can still add to the service! As for what they started out with, there aren't that many, but what's there is pretty solid. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ are all fantastic and fun, nothing more to say about them, Mario Kart: Super Circuit has its detractors but it's still Mario Kart, plus the courses are very unique and memorable. As for the others, they're a bit more interesting; picking Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 to be on the service first is a bit odd pick, at least in terms of why it came first before the other Super Mario Advance games, but it's still Super Mario Bros. 3, plus the e-Reader levels being playable is definitely a plus! As for Kuru Kuru Kururin, well, I love it whenever Nintendo's more obscure games gets attention, plus this game was only ever released in Japan and Europe, so it's cool that Americans finally get to play it (in an official capacity anyway). Overall, they were off to a decent start, though they were still missing a few all-time classics that slowly but surely got added to the service overtime (and will hopefully continue to do so)!
oh sure nintendo... give me minish cap and a bunch of other sh** i've never even heard of... just like you did with the NES/SNES/64 library... Nobody even cares about the SEGA emulator since there is no Sonic 3. i was absolutely thrilled when you delivered GoldenEye007 with no option to change the controls into something usable..... where Secret of Mana? where is Clock Tower? where is Batman Returns? or ninja turtles? where is Friday 13? where is marble madness ? Qix? where is Mortal Kombat or Killer instinct? where is Conker Bad Fur Day? Where is Resident Evil 2 for the 64? we dont even get Duck Tales for the NES !!! NO MEGAMAN !!! NO Zombies ate my Neighbors! nothing that i used to play for hours is here.Stop being cheap and spend some money on licensing . give people what they want!!!!! we pay 50 bucks for nothing. Jesus Christ, NINTENDO is the living definition of "TOO LITTLE TOO LATE" i swear to God, if Metroid Zero Mission and Sonic Advance doesn't come out next month i'm cancelling my subscription... worse part of this fiasco is, gameboys only sold because POKEMON drove sales... and years later we still dont have any POKEMONS.... wtf nintendo.. cashgrab much?
"Super Circuit was released FOUR YEARS after MK64" NO WAY DUDE, I had too many memories of waiting for a handheld MK game for it to be just that shor-- =NA release dates= Mario Kart 64: 2/10/1997 Super Circuit: 8/27/2001 .......I'm honestly deeply shaken.
I'm not sure if I'd be all that interested in this starting lineup without the Minish Cap. We already have access to Super Mario Bros 3, and the included card levels aren't really a pull for me. Mario and Luigi hasn't ever been on my radar. But my favorite MegaMan games are the battle network series, so I'll at least give it a shot. I've never been into Warioware and I'm disappointed in it's inclusion when they could have released Warioland 4. Mario kart GBA is by far my least favorite Mario kart game, plus why play this one when everyone in the world owns Mario kart 8? I played the first few levels of kuro kuro and I think I got all I needed from that game. I just don't think I'll play it. I'm excited for the future releases for the GBA, but like I said the only thing here really of worth is the minish cap.
It's a pity that the e-reader levels for mario advance 4 were barely even brought up. It's fair for reviewers of the time to not have given them much thought since they relied on you having access to two gameboy advances, a link cable, a really niche accessory that kind of flopped, and some cards that were kind of hard to get your hands on. The modern releases of the game (Wii U virtual console and NSO) have all those levels built in and freely accessible and they are some of the best 2D mario has to offer. They are the reason this game is worthy of being the fourth and final game in the Mario Advance series. They use assets and game elements of every game. It includes the best of Mario 3 and World, some levels include vegetables you can pull up like in Mario 2, there are a few of the one-way gates from Yoshi's Island, you can freely change between Mario and Luigi between levels with Luigi having his signature slippery controls and higher jump, you have access to all the power ups from both 3 and World, and on top of that, there are a few existing elements used in entirely new ways like the triangle blocks from World being placed in different angles allowing you to do things like run on the ceiling. Honestly these deserve the name "Lost Levels" much more than Japan's version of Mario 2 do.
I don't have the entire Nintendo Online membership but maybe it is to break out those physical carts from the GBA days.. I was finding it hard to put down Harmony of Dissonance last night on Switch.. Whatever happened to the term bitchin anyways? It's far better than "sick.."
I never got the super Mario advance series. How they go from Mario 2 USA, to Mario World to Yoshis Island to Mario 3. 🤣 What a disorganized mess of releases.
I’ve seen people all over the internet comment that Mario Kart was no good because of the existence of Mario Kart 8. Newsflash : it’s not the same game, and old or not. It’s still a master HIT.
I'm glad to see a video on this channel can manage to break through the algorithm and get views. I've been doing a series of horror movie channels call TheBurialGround for about 10 years and I've seen the difference from one to another. One will get to the point of hundreds of subs and tens of thousands of views _a day_ and another will just stall and have videos that won't even show up in searches _even from my own account_ , let alone be suggested. Not even to subscribers (Is that enough "even"s?). Sometimes a channel and the algorithm just don't play nice and for long stretches you're effectively shadowbanned but for no actual reason. I know it's frustrating as hell but thanks for all you do. I recommend this channel to others every chance I get. I don't think Google themselves even understand the quirks of their algorithm but someday, something will click and this channel will get the exposure it deserves.
It's real hit or miss with the UA-cam algorithm, that's for sure. Even this video felt like it would only get 3 or 4 thousand views, and then several days after it was uploaded, it just blew up out of nowhere. Not sure if somebody linked it on Reddit or suddenly UA-cam recommended it to a bunch of people, but something happened. It came with a bunch of new subscribers, so hopefully the new viewers will help make the next NSO episode just as successful. Fingers crossed.
New viewer. Your video is recommended by UA-cam. I think it's cool that you go back and look at retro magazines and experts to get an idea of how an old game was perceived when it was released. But I feel like that would just be considered background research to help bolster a current-day modern review. Also, reviews back in the day I feel scored extremely differently than what modern-day video game scoring reviews get. Obviously, the best thing you could do is read and play all the games, but I'm sure that's not possible before publication time. Good video.
First and foremost, thank you for watching the video and leaving a detailed comment. I can understand where you're coming from and agree that magazines scored games differently back in the day. That's one of the reasons why we've spent so much time looking at and analyzing classic reviews on this channel. We have several long-running series that really get into what the critics were looking for and how they reviewed games back in the day. This one, for whatever reason, blew up bigger than most, so this will be many people's introduction to Defunct Games' classic magazine coverage. While it certainly won't be for everybody, I do feel like there's value (and entertainment) to be found in flipping through these classic issues. There are so many games that may be considered a "classic" these days, yet they were trashed or completely misunderstood when they first came out. It's also fun to see how game criticism has evolved over the years. As a freelance critic myself who has been bouncing around outlets and magazines for 20 years, I am especially interested in the topic and having deeper conversations about game criticism. Videos like this are rarely meant to dissuade people from playing the games for themselves. Ideally, this will give those games a little more context and give younger gamers a better understanding of what was going on when these games first came out. The Nintendo Switch Online is little more than the vessel I'm using to look back at classic reviews, and hopefully people will join me for that ride.
I've not really took that big of a dive into the GBA games, though many of these sounds interesting. Which I guess could be my answer to the question, sounds interesting. However, tonight, I don't have any games currently on my games to play list, so maybe I'll take a look at them via MAME during my nightly gaming session. 😉
It's a bit like any other streaming service; it's great if you're already planning on being a member. It's also a pain if you'd rather own what you consume and don't want it vanishing suddenly. This selection is nice enough. It keeps retro relevant, in a way that a mass dump wouldn't. If nothing else, I got this video out of the deal, so no complaints.
Mario 3 anything is a HUGE win. Mario 3 is objectively one of the greatest examples of video game production unless you are blind, have no hands to play, and know nothing about video games yet hate them. 🤣
I used to love game informer I remember when I first heard of the magazine I was with my family all in a trip to Houston Texas when we lived in San Antonio and I came across my very first Funco Land and I think my first issue of game informer was a killer instinct issue. Then a few years later I started subscribing to game informer and everything was going great I enjoyed that magazine EGM and PSM they were excellent magazines until I would say around 2001-2002. I don't know the amount of Of years and I don't know when this all started but they were Just completely disrespectful towards nintendo they hardly showed any of the games they never really gave any of the games their own articles everything was just Xbox and PS stuff. Which would have been fine except for you can't call yourself f****** gaming former and only cover a certain section of games coming out. But yeah I got a really really bad taste in my mouth and they and basically got to where I just hated the magazine. I still will never Understand how it became socially acceptable for mainstream video game media to hate on Nintendo despite them consistently giving us some of the best games. I mean it's not like we were only getting trash games I mean we got Metroid prime, Super Mario sunshine legend of Zelda Windwaker, Animal crossing, Pikmin, Mario Kart Double Dash. We got a lot of bangers and with GI they didn't get the attention they deserved. And honestly I will never forgive them for this at one time they were the best or one of the most beloved video game magazines. And I would love to know what Happened because at one point they had a very close relationship with Nintendo. I would love to know if it was nintendo that was the ones that were at fault if it was GI or if another company like Sony and Microsoft had paid them to go against Nintendo who knows. All I know is they were the only ones I had at one point done research on the subject and compare them to the other magazines out at the time. And I will say if you're calling yourself gaming former but you're not informing your audience on games as a whole you're doing your audience a disservice.
I think I will get myself the expansion pass for a limited time to play the two Fire Emblem entries when they hit, just for the novelty of having played them legitimately. I did this with FE1, 2, 3, and 4 so far, and it has been pretty fun to try to navigate these games without the translation patches. I'm still waiting for 5 to get added to the Super Famicom online, though that one will be by far the toughest of the bunch to do untranslated.
I'm stoked with the line up, fingers crossed they release a heap more. I had a GBA but never had many games for it, mostly just played my old GB games and pokemon.
For a launch line up, it’s a yay from me. Now I just hope some of those games from that list that leaked actually happen and weren’t just there to test the emulator.
I can't wait until I get to talk about the reviews for the original Pokemon. The fans are going to be SHOCKED at how dismissive the critics were of that game back when it first came out.
I don't understand why you'd go through the hassle of hunting down old magazine reviews of Japanese games if you're not gonna check Japanese magazines. If you did that you'd realise kuru kuru kururin is very well regarded, just not by "western reviewers".
This is one of several series where we look into magazine reviews from the 1980s and 1990s, specifically from magazines published in the U.S., UK, Australia and other English-speaking countries. We tend to shy away from Japanese magazines, as I can't read or speak Japanese.
@@DefunctGames that's too bad. I reckon it would add a lot to the series! If you're interested, the game was most likely inspired by old tv shows like イライラ棒. There are still some clips of it hosted on UA-cam.
I agree, and it's something I would like to feature at some point in the future. I've thought about mentioning the Famitsu score in the past, but I feel like it's somewhat meaningless without knowing what they said or criticized. Same with other Japanese magazines. It's easy to track down American and British magazines (especially since I've been collecting them for decades and the rest are scanned and archived online), but finding the Japanese scans has proven to be much harder. Once I can figure out a way to get my hands on the reviews and translate them, I will work them into the various shows.
@@DefunctGames also I do like the fact we now have GBA on switch. I can prefer the subscription. I feel like if they charged for them they’d probably be overpriced
No no, no offense taken. I can completely understand how certain words or phrases can stick in your craw, since I'm that way too. I've gotten really good suggestions and ideas from the viewers, so I usually turn to them for this kind of thing.
@@DefunctGames But you're not saying "Morio" - only "Worio", so I don't think that's accent. It's mispronunciation. You're reading "wa" with "o" like if his name comes from "war" instead of "wah". His name is pronounced the same as Mario, only with W instead of M. If it was a matter of accent, you would as well say "Woluigi" but I don't believe you do :)
When I look up how to pronounce the word "War," google says that it sounds like "Wor." Even your Mario example depends on where you live. I pronounce it like Marr-E-O, but the last movie trailer clearly pronounced it like "Mare-E-O." Either way, this is probably not the hill you want to die on.
Kuru Kuru Kururin has actually been one of my favorite games on the GBA since I got mine. My mind was blown when I saw it was one of the launch games for NSO 🤯
In a sea of so many predictable titles, Kuru Kuru Kururin was the welcome surprise. I hope we see a lot more games that were either rare or didn't come to America.
@@DefunctGames yeah I didn't even know that it didn't release in America. It explains why so many youtubers didn't recognize the title. Apparently there is also a sequel, kururin paradise, but it was only released in Japan up til now
yeah the idea is not bad but i have all that free on my phone... i can even use hacked roms like new pokemon games that dont really exist and stuff so nope switch still not worth anything. also have all these games at home so can legally play them on my emulator
I’d like to see some of the more unique Japanese exclusive GBA games like the Artstyle series games. Soundvoyager has been under appreciated for too long. Dream game would be WarioWare Twisted that never got a release in Europe.

When they reviewed Golden Sun in issue #150, EGM gave it an average score of 9 out of 10. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga only managed an 8.8 out of 10. Though, it's worth noting, that Kevin did not review Golden Sun.
What’s so exciting about games we already own and played years ago Nintendo needs to give Nintendo Switch day 1 releases like Xbox does on game pass
Alone in the dark lol this tells us more stinkers will randomly appear.
Minish Cap just seems more fun than the DS Zelda games.
It already wins with not having dumb controls
oh sure nintendo... give me minish cap and a bunch of other sh** i've never even heard of... just like you did with the NES/SNES/64 library...
Jesus Christ, NINTENDO is the living definition of "TOO LITTLE TOO LATE"
i swear to God, if Metroid Zero Mission and Sonic Advance doesn't come out next month i'm cancelling my subscription... worse part of this fiasco is, gameboys only sold because POKEMON drove sales... and years later we still dont have any POKEMONS.... wtf nintendo.. cashgrab much?
"Super Circuit was released FOUR YEARS after MK64"
NO WAY DUDE, I had too many memories of waiting for a handheld MK game for it to be just that shor--
=NA release dates=
Mario Kart 64: 2/10/1997
Super Circuit: 8/27/2001
.......I'm honestly deeply shaken.
Considering CapCom made Oracle of X and Minish Cap, can we just admit they're better at Zelda than Nintendo?
I think there's a strong argument to be made here. I would certainly say that Capcom's Zelda games are better than Nintendo's handheld Zelda games.
Loved Kuru Kuru Kururin. So addictive. Really has the one more go feeling where you know if you fouled up it was your fault not the game's.
I really wish firing up the games would do the Gameboy and GBA startups
Which psycho made the super mario advance commercial, I mean, IT had to be like that?
Funfact about Mario Kart: Super Circuit:
It still is the Mario Kart with the highest average review score.
That was fast
XD
Not botkai though
XD
They should release the other Mario Advance and even ALTTP+Foursword since the online play would fit a lot.
These are immediately some of the best game on Switch. Minish Cap legit is the best 2D Zelda on the console.
To say that Wario ware has no replay-ability is one of the dumbest gaming takes I've ever heard haha
i wasn't even expecting them to add that game america never got till now
Electronics gaming magazine called a game i finished when i was like 9 years old hard. Feelsgoodman.
I've not really took that big of a dive into the GBA games, though many of these sounds interesting. Which I guess could be my answer to the question, sounds interesting. However, tonight, I don't have any games currently on my games to play list, so maybe I'll take a look at them via MAME during my nightly gaming session. 😉
Back then barely anybody experienced multiplayer compared to how easy it is now
Pretty good selection of games but I can play all those games and plenty more on my flashcart.
Jesus the nostalgia is hitting me like a train
I'm just surprised Nintendo didn't add the first Super Mario Land
You guys realize one day, they're going to drop Classic N64 Harvest Moon, Pokemon Blue, Red, Yellow on the GameBoy. This will be a different world
I am prepared.
Mario 3 anything is a HUGE win. Mario 3 is objectively one of the greatest examples of video game production unless you are blind, have no hands to play, and know nothing about video games yet hate them. 🤣
Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best Super Mario Bros. game of all time.
minish cap and superstar saga are easy 10/10 games
Kuru Kuru is such an amazing game. I love it so much
1:44 """"""a lot""""""
if by a lot you mean 6
:D
Yes, I would say that a lot of the six games are big hitters.
0:59 I still have that issue of Edge! :D
What an interesting video idea you had here.
none of them complained about the lack of accessibility options, not real journalists
Accessibility options is not something critics cared much about in the early 2000s.
Minish cap is the best 2D Zelda game
I KNEW this would be coming! Thank you!!
I found KURUKURU to be super fun.
I think I will get myself the expansion pass for a limited time to play the two Fire Emblem entries when they hit, just for the novelty of having played them legitimately. I did this with FE1, 2, 3, and 4 so far, and it has been pretty fun to try to navigate these games without the translation patches. I'm still waiting for 5 to get added to the Super Famicom online, though that one will be by far the toughest of the bunch to do untranslated.
still not worth the 50 a year
I'm stoked with the line up, fingers crossed they release a heap more. I had a GBA but never had many games for it, mostly just played my old GB games and pokemon.
I liked the kinstone pieces
But you can play all these freaking games on ur android phone through an emulater
Honestly, I don't care where you play the games. I'm just using the Nintendo Switch Online as a vessel to talk about these classic game reviews.
You can play them on your GBA using the original cartridges too. What's your point?
For a launch line up, it’s a yay from me. Now I just hope some of those games from that list that leaked actually happen and weren’t just there to test the emulator.
KKK is amazing, addictive, I’ve played it for 10 hours why is no one talking about it!
I love that people are discovering it for the first time.
LMAO bloody hell that comment looks bad out of context mate! 😂😂
@@RtardD2 thought it was a troll for a min 🤣
I completely didn’t know that Kuru Kuru Kururin never came out in the US, since I swear that some US outlets reviewed it…
You should have used the super circuit ad where the old man gets pushed into oncoming traffic
minish cap is my most favorite game. if u like it too try to play it randomized.
i was one of the few that played kuru kuru kururin back in the day and i loved it!
Impecable
Kuru Kuru is a pretty fund game. Short, but fun nonetheless
I’ve loved this channel for years. Keep up the super job.
"Not about collecting little fuzzy things." What is this even in reference to? Golden Sun, again?
Might have been a dig at Pokemon, which was(and probably still is) the most popular RPG series on Handhelds.
I can't wait until I get to talk about the reviews for the original Pokemon. The fans are going to be SHOCKED at how dismissive the critics were of that game back when it first came out.
Did you do anything special to get them to look so crisp and sharp on a bigger screen?
This footage looks great
Emulator maybe, games look like this when I play them there
As Fermin2004 accurately points out, the footage used is from an emulator.
I was just as excited for Mario Advance 4 as I was for Metroid Prime Remaster.
There's nothing to download if you're playing with Nintendo switch online. It's like cloud gaming.
A fair point. Streaming didn't sound right and I had seen others say download. Perhaps I could be more specific in the future.
I hate the term is it worth. If they think it’s not worth it why play it then.
Is there a more appropriate phrase? I'm certainly open to suggestions, as all I'm doing is trying to get people excited to analyze classic reviews.
@@DefunctGames I didn’t mean to offend you if I did. It’s just I hear the term when people are reviewing consoles and other games.
That's Wario, not Worio
What a weird correction. I think this just comes down to accents.
@@DefunctGames Like I said, it is NOT pronounced like the English word "war".
SMB3 and Minish Cap are legit top-10 games of all times. Nice way to kick things off
Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best Super Mario Bros. game of all time.
The final boss of Mario and Luigi superstar saga gave me carpul tunnel
I’d like to see some of the more unique Japanese exclusive GBA games like the Artstyle series games. Soundvoyager has been under appreciated for too long. Dream game would be WarioWare Twisted that never got a release in Europe.
How would that even work in docked mode? WWT requires the player to physically rotate the screen for its gimmick to work.
