53:23 Unreal! Conrad mentions the Demolition match at Summerslam 1988, and then immediately starts listing a ton of wrestler songs that Jimmy wrote, and COMPLETELY FORGETS DEMOLITION'S SONG!! The best WWF theme song ever! Jimmy wrote it! Conrad forgets it! Inexcusable!
The Jimmy Hart turn before WM9 sure proved convenient when Hogan jumped ship. Did anyone else ever notice how Jimmy recited the first verse of the upcoming WCW theme at KOTR93...?
The Danny Davis heel ref angle was brilliant. It did go on for a long time before finally he threw all doubt out the window in the tag title match in Jan 87 with the Hart’s beating the Bulldogs. He literally let both Bret & Anvil both stay in the ring and beat the shit out of Davey boy while Dynamite lay injured outside. Then just for kicks he fast counts the 3 for the win.
Great topic; great show! How does Jimmy Hart not have he's own podcast these days! Great talent amazing Entertainer. Has been all over seems like a natural fit.
I saw Jimmy Hart at the first house show I ever went to and I couldn't believe how tall he seemed. He always looked so tiny on television. I expected him to be dwarfed by my little kid body.
you know I was expecting Armageddon 99 to be discussed and I look to see it's an episode about one of my all time favorite managers. So I was actually really pleased about the Jimmy Hart episode coming this week instead of next. I honestly feel like this was an upgrade from what was promised. Thanks Bruce and Conrad :)
I do not think any manager was a hated as Jimmy Hart was in Memphis. I threw ice at him myself a couple of times at the midsouth colisum. He really did have some serious heat.
Whoa whoa whoa STOP! Terry Funk put an ALBUM out???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's gotta be up there with Terry Funk's wife reminding Terry that "the branding iron is in the trunk."🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad we are getting a Jimmy Hart episode finally long overdue I know they would be short but I wanna see episodes on Chuck Austin Brian Gamble and mike Bell
Jimmy left his mark in the business that is for sure. Jimmy was entertaining as shit on the Legends House. Jimmy was an underrated manager that is for sure. While it was all about Bobby Heenan and Sherri Martel, Jimmy left his mark with the Hart client of managers. Jimmys face turn was nicely timed when Hogan's contract was up and he jumped ship to WCW. It was like Hogan wanted Jimmy to go with him. This was a cool episode. They did a great job hitting the bull points. They could do a couple of episodes on Jimmy.
I was playing drums for a guy named Robby roadsteamer a few years back and they hired Jimmy hart to make an appearance and yes it's true he would only eat bread and cheese I believe. I said Jimmy it's nice to meet you. His response was I love ya baby.
Maybe I’m forgetting someone obvious , but when Conrad says Jimmy managed two WWF world champions during his tenure, who is the other besides Hogan in 93?
Shame its only 1 hour and some odd minutes but a damn good episode nonetheless. JH has seen some things. What a career. Yeah i was one of those kids that hated the dude every time he cost my favorite tag team the championships belts. Love him forever tho.
I met Jimmy. Wasn't impressed, he spit in my face and I knew he can't be the real McCoy. Now for the sake of brevity I was drunk and sort of blacked out but needless to say YOU TREAT FANS WITH RESPECT. UNREAL!!!!!

Great show, but I have a question. At 1:10:37 Conrad says it's the second time that Jimmy has managed the world champion in the WWF. When was the first?
Conrad is mistaken -- Hogan in 1993 was Hart's only WWF world champion. WWF magazine at the time even made a point to mention Jimmy Hart finally had a world champion in his camp.
This was a rushed episode, only barely over 1:20 of content of an 80's icon in the WWF. I expected much more out of this truthfully. Jimmy was a manager icon..
1hr 20 min, that's a shame. Jimmy Hart could have gotten 4 hrs at least. And that Butch reed virgin islands joke is a recycled Chuck Norris joke. None the less another great episode, Jimmy is a true legand and other than Bobby Heenan probably the greatest manager ever.
The show really doesn't work as good anymore since Bruce returned to WWE. He's too cagey & seems tired of it, Conrad too. Even when Conrad probes he doesn't seem to get too far. Bruce is a great interview when he doesn't have to toe the company line. Still some interesting episodes but they are now few and far between & also so much shorter these days. Shame cause some of the old episodes are so interesting and funny that they merit repeat listening. Thanks for those shows and all the laughs and insight into the WWE/WWF history.
I know you were just trying to describe the times... Id maybe refrain from using the word colored when referring to people. Regardless. I think everyone on board knows that we're talking about old times if we are referring to Jimmy Hart's early career. Just sounded kind of weird especially saying black side of town two sentences later. Just a thought
Without Jimmy Hart we wouldn’t have all these WWF wonderful memories.
Bret Hart got his first break with Jimmy with the Hart Foundation
The "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart is one of the icons that stand out in my childhood WWF memories.
@Virtual Pro Wrestling Matches What?
One of the hardest working managers in the history of wrestling.

HTM is extremely underrated in my book ... underappreciated might be a better word
How can you be underappreciated when you're universally known as the greatest Intercontinental champion of all time!!! :D

I would love to hear an episode on Adrian Adonis
