My DRZ400 goes 400 mph. That's why they named it that and I will not be told otherwise. :)
😂😂
Yo WOODY? Didn't think you'd be into bikes. You ride?
@@erthwermmusic fr lolol
Oh man, WoodysGamertag. What a throwback. You’re a legend man!
Yooo woody!!! No fucking way!! 🔥
The irony in “hey thats illegal” love it sir gixxer
All I could think about but I know he’s joking 😂
My R1 went well past 200 one day! I was thinking,,,no way am i going that fast! Then i looked really closely and realised the mph had changed into kph by itself 🤣
That's really like what 130 -160 mph ..hell I'm probably way off lol
@@ronniewelch7817 200kph are like 100-120mph
@@superacht6926 124mph
I did that with my car lol. I was driving and it said 80 while I was in a 40. I thought my speedometer was broke until I noticed the temperature was in Celsius and the mph was kph
LMAO
Brah explaining gear ratios better than my engineering teacher
No you just didn’t pay attention in class don’t lie. Ratios aren’t difficult 🤣🤣
@@alejandrotobienne8220 Was thinking the same thing lol
@@alejandrotobienne8220 ur fun at parties
Dude ... explaining gear ratios ?
The only reason Gear Ratios are ever a discussion is when your able to reference a particular set of corners or racetrack.
But Chixxer-girl spends her time "Racing" minivans & weaving in & out of traffic.
In fact, Chixxer-chick could probably get by with a 2nd & 6th gear and skip the rest
@@markmitchezee2728 Why are you guys finding harm is this comment, gear ratios are easy asf to understand, was js complementing how easy it was to understand and follow along to his explanation about how gear ratios work. Not even if he was right or wrong 😂
i go 180 on my 250. keep uploading brah i love it.
Best way to explain gearing & power is to explain it like a mountain bike. Remember when you were a kid and you tried to start out in 21st speed, if you don't weigh enough when you stand on the pedal, you can't accelerate.
My 2014 636, cat delete, M4 Slip-on and FTECU flash.. stock gearing, the speedometer topped me out at 176mph & it had more to give. -1/+2 setup, I now net 165mph with more to give. So I now top out at 161mph true speed, so you're right on the money... I miss living in Dallas. Smoothest roads ever
The exception to going smaller in the back to reach a higher top speed is if the power band falls off at the top, so a smaller gear on the back could possibly put it back in the power to reach a couple more mph. It depends on how the power curve is though.
Thank you for making this video I was getting tired of being the one having to argue with people that they did not go as fast as they think, all speedos are inaccurate to about 7% at legal posted speed limits and the faster you go that 7% increases all the way up to 15% which is why it quickly starts hitting 180 and above. I use a speedo healer from 12oclock labs so I can calibrate my actual speedo using a gps reading which gets me to less than 1% inaccuracy. My 2006 GSXR600 will not surpass 155 and about 140 with -1F+5R on the gearing.
Been riding for 28 years and I still slip into neutral and let ppl a Mile away hear it.
😂😂
I freaking hate that! 😂 Happens at least once a year, maybe twice...ok fine, 5 times. I mean 15 times 😞

14:30 thanks for explaining the sprocket stuff. I almost went down cause A tars told me it would increase top speed 😂 thanks again breh
I normally just go down a tooth in the front for street bikes makes the power more useable dropping a tooth in the front is like adding 3 in the rear not a major change but a noticeable one for overall useable power
@@maldenfoster That's slapping your bike with the slow stick. If your bike has too much power get a smaller bike.
@@___Eldritch so u didn’t watch the video at all… a 600 makes peak hp at 14k rpm stock when you gear it down it becomes closer to 10-12 k which is actually more useable power… it makes the bike quicker and yes sometimes even faster sue to the fact that they come with super long gearing from factory
@@___Eldritch also stupid it would make the bike feel more powerful bc it has more power down low
Dropping a tooth or two in the rear will give you more top-speed potential, the problem is that most bikes just don’t have enough power to get you there even if it has enough gearing.
THANK YOU BRAHH!! ....I always thought the same just seeing both(I'm a new squid) .... honestly though most bikes are fast, some just go to space!!
.... you so simplified it!!
Perfecty explained the sprocket situation. Thank you.
My 04 600rr has been clocked at 180 (laser trap). Race bike. Various mods, exhaust, ecu, fairings, gearing. Redlines at 17000 rpm, has no rev limiter.
That is why I got the 12 O'clock Labs Speedodrd. Inexpensive and easy to setup. I used the GPS to set it and not the sprocket specs.
Can’t get enough of these vids bro thank you
He should’ve been talking about this at 180mph
I’ve learned more from this video than I have in the past 3 months in school

That go pro gps is probably the most inaccurate
"Its so importanttt" *Insane high revving* 🤣🤣☠️☠️
dang man making me happy with all these uploads ( please make more gps videos)
Everything about this video is correct and why i have watched this channel for years. Gsxrs have always kinda “over geared” their bikes. Even 07 to 08 gsxr 1000s are over geared. 08s have alot better head witch makes them pretty capable but 6th is absolutely 180mph over drive. Kawi has their bikes geared pretty close to the ability of the motor. For other brands its all different. Rider weight and so many other things play into top speed. Along with air temp, altitude and air pressure and cross winds! Also riding position will factor that huge too! Wind screens to crappy k&n filters just ain’t enough for these bikes. Tunes very. Its endless hence why guys with actually really fast 200mph bikes all run and need mr12 to reach those speeds. Love this channel!!
Hey brah. Firstly, just got my stickers and I gotta admit they're pretty slick, thanks for those. Second...
I have an R7 and dropped the rear sprocket by 4 teeth. Now the speedo thinks it hits 226mph with the rear tire lifted 😎. GPS said I only hit 86mph though so I think I'm just gonna have to get a new GPS since my current one is obviously broken. I learned all my tips from the cashier at Cyclegear so there's no way he could be wrong about any of it. He's an expert.
Waze app has gps speedo and shows speed limit but flashes and doesn’t show actual speed at a point. The radarbot app does have gps speed and shows actual speed
Wow that's brilliant control and handling a motorbike love the ride with ya
Thanks for the knowledge brah 🙏
Yes it all makes sense. I keep trying to tell people the same thing by the speedo being off and the gearing. I was telling my buddy the other day that I had about 3k left on my tack and I couldn't top it out. He said you'll go faster if you have taller gearing. And I could not change his mind to tell him that would make me go slower because if you can't top out six gear how would having more gear make you go faster because all that would do is take away more torque that would have gotten you to a higher top speed.
Love the video brother. Gives me that little satisfaction I miss riding my harley
I like it when you make eye contact with us when you talk.
This is the only channel I want to watch on yt
loving the new camera quality and your editing brah
The analogy he made with a half-gears was correct. There is a calculator online that you can use to determine how much of a torque/speed increase or decrease you will get if you change sprockets. My R3 is already slow on the top end so the reason I went down 2 rear teeth for my top speed is so I can cruise at 80 to 85 miles an hour and get better gas without destroying the engine completely.
Yes but being a Gixxer brah the 600/750 are the same engine minus a spool. The 600 is just a sleeved 750 block
@@alejandrotobienne8220 why put a sleeve?
The Brah is right. My 2008 zx6r with fresh chain and exhaust speedo said 168 in 6th gear redline but GPS showed 163. Some people just don’t like to be real with themselves 😂

@@gabberpietor I have 2 ZX10’s. I will be the first to admit I’ve never ridden faster than 130, but I’ve done some pretty insane roads. I like the twisties.
Well explained I went down 6 total teeth on the rear on my r1 but I had to dock the head, port and polish, race cams, full exhaust, upgraded velocity stacks, upgraded ram air from the UK, etc, to be able to get that extra top end that I wanted with the changed gearing. In other words I had yo heavily modify my motor to accommodate
Per MCN - “Back in the summer of 2013 we tested this actual GSX-R750 against the then new MV Agusta F3 800 and the Ducati Evo Corse SE in a very special test. In glorious conditions we toured the roads of southern Italy, scratched around the Nürburgring-esque Nardo test track and blasted around its eight-mile speed bowl.
Not only did the Suzuki cream the test, it also hit an incredible GPS-confirmed 181mph top speed around the bowl.
Granted, it took fellow tester Chad seven miles with the throttle against the stop for the GSX-R750 to creep up to that speed, inches from the Armco at the highest point of the bowl, but it did it.
Not even the GSX-R1000 is that fast now. The best we see in MCN tests is the mid-170mph mark, which backs up rumours that some Japanese manufacturers are placing 280km/h limiters on their superbikes.
So not only is a 750 faster around a track than a Blade, it’s faster than a GSX-R1000, too.”
If the discussion has to be open again on "600s are or aren't fast"...I'm going to call the cops 😆
"the der der der" you kill me brah😂
The most I ever saw on my ‘04 cbr600f4i was 160. I know I wasn’t actually going that fast, but that’s a nice round number to say I’ve gone.
My stock 2023 ZX6R hit 158 mph (on the speedometer) and I’m only 153 lbs. I was hoping that if I get a full exhaust and good tune I could get 170 mph out of it. Thanks for saving me some money 😂.
Sprockets
Going up a tooth:
Front sprocket: more torque, less hp
Rear sprocket: less torque, more hp
Going down a tooth:
Front sprocket: more hp, less torque
Rear sprocket: less hp, more torque.
Hp = top speed
Torque = the grunt to get you to that top speed.
If your bike information says you make 105hp and 77ft/lbs of torque, you can move hp into torque, but you can't net gain hp or torque by changing cogs, just how they lay the power to the wheel.
My 890 adv comes with a 16T/45T. Going to a 15T Front is the same as going up to a 48 tooth Rear cog.
I prefer to change the font sprocket because the increase in diameter is smaller, which causes less rotational forces. I only changed the sprocket to get better shift points.
13:28 I felt this rant in the depths of my soul 😂😂
you’re absolutely correct. my fz topped out downhill with wind at my back at around 160-165 with just a power commander
Good to know I’m not only one who put a stunt clutch on a stock bike 😂💯
Two years ago my aunt had a bf that ride a 2012 gsxr600r and bring around the family. Everyone thought it was cool and amazing. So did I. No one in the family ride or have any interest in motorcycles. Sad thing is he always bragging that he always be going 200 mph and the bike could do 240mph. 😂(I was crying inside😂)when I google search it.
Lololol
Thank you! I’ve had 3 08 r6 for 6 years before hoping on a r1 and then an s1k. 600 get to 120 easy. Then 130+ is such a slow climb. It’s like it’s hit a wall. You need a butt load or runway and good conditions on a down hill to get to 150. I got a a 1000 and was blown away how it got to 140/50. New r1s and s1ks they even take a minute to get from 150 to 180whatever. You’re also fighting physics/wind/ and so forth. No 600 is doing 160 without over a mile of runway and good condition. I mean it can but it takes work. You’re not teleporting like modern 1000s. And there’s a reason these Texas boys with dropped front ends stretched arms and all that do all that because reachin those speeds is rough

Brah’s crushing squids dreams with this one
Brah is in a t-shirt and pants. Can't get more squid than that.
I bet Brah doesn’t own any safety gear except his daily helmet, he’s the working man’s squid!
To double your speed you need 8x the power, which is why they all top out relatively the same even if they have 20hp difference. 8x is based on physics drag equation where drag force = V^2*constants, and force drag = force wheel with power = torque*rpm (that rpm turns into a radial Velocity) and the equations simplifying to power = V^3 x constants. This is why even a little 25 HP bike might get reasonably close to 100 mph, but 8x that at 200 HP you're just under 200 mph. Now since you don't quite hit 200 mph (depending on aerodynamics) then sure the 25 HP bike isn't quite hitting 100 either but it's close so you see apples to apples.
My 15.6 HP rated garbage 229cc does 72-73 mph (gps speed, it's speedo is so far off then later snapped and yeeted its needle out of the dial cluster), but you're aero tucked however it can do that with a worn out chain (but freshly oiled, it would lose a few if it was stiff) and properly sprocket sized (it's peak power is roughly where it tops out in max gear)
wow lol
That rear view talk stared right into my soul.
I had a 2012 ZX6R with ecu flash, full exhaust and dyno tune and before I got the speedo healer my speedometer showed 180mph topped out but when I put the speedo healer on it only went 163 mph with a tailwind and on the way back with a headwind it only managed 158mph.
Watching this as a cruiser owner , these vids still rock tho brah
All I know is my buddies 2023 636 that I’ve been riding while rebuilding my ‘03 R6, speedometer says 163 top before it dies off with 2k rpm left to go(it’s bone stock) but gps has shown 161. So it’s pretty on point. That’s all I’m sayin.
For some reason it took me quite awhile to start watching 👀 your videos! Not at all a Gxr fan or even Suzuki fan but your knowledge and wheelies rule Bro!!!!Love your content keeps me laughing and interested. Keep it real Bro!!!
Don't care
My freshly rebuilt 04 CBR600RR, tuned and gps verified spedo, ONLY went 153 pegged out but it just wouldn't climb anymore.
New camera angle is sick 🔥
just loved "the history of never"...lmao
2008 750 with intake mods full yoshi exhaust and a hot tune. Speedo says 186 I think, gps said 172. Felt fast.
Yeah, my ZZR 600 1995 used to do 150 flat out.
My buddy had an all motor '06 Gxxr 1k. Bored over to 1048 and tuned to 198whp. Never broke 200 gps. I don't think he ever went over 190 with him on it (he big boi in all directions).
But he turboed it and gave her a 6" stretch and she fo sho went over 200.
But yeah, indicated vs actual is always gonna be a problem, it has to do with how they calibrate the Speedo sensor. My 01 gsxr1k would indicate 186 but my buddies '10 repsol would pass me showing low 170.
I heard this one dude from the shop say "for every ten mph you go you gotta subtract 1mph" so if you're speedo says 30 you're going 27, 40 you're doing 36, 50 you're going 45 etc.
All FACTS 💯💯 Even at 120lbs, GPS confirms the 12-15% drop from speedo to the ACTUAL mph. ESPECIALLY on stock bikes without a few grand in the motor and performance parts, most have never even seen 175. And the way stock ECUsc are set up, they cut throttle imput at higher RPMs. It takes a good amount of work to TRULY top out a bike to redline
That's how my neenya 400 is. I get to redline and the ecu won't allow me to hit the rev limiter in 6th
@@austincroslow8979 yep. It's crazy they do 400s like that too. But that's why one of the main things you'll see racers say is "ECU flashed/tuned" because with those restrictions, you'll NEVER get peak performance out of your bike
@@TB24.7 man i weigh basically 100lbs you think it’ll make much of a difference on a 600?
@@okanoyuki hop on marketplace bro and make some magic happen😎😎
@@okanoyuki weight really is not anywhere in the physics equations except acceleration. It's force of air drag is equal to wheel power (with some exponents and constants), but being skinny like a twig does make you more aero so you'll be faster because of that even though it's not really weight it's just how thin and aerodynamic you are.
I'm about 6ft tall, and a walking twig barely over 100 pounds. On a road bicycle it's great, I accelerate fast (my bike weighs 20 pounds, so doesn't take much to accelerate me up to speed), then tucked in I'm pedaling like 21 mph easy with 1 foot off the pedals showing off that I can do that all day, or about 28 mph for over an hour straight and that average includes any snack breaks (given an hour I'll be 28 mph away). It's sometimes nice being a skinny person, but also I'd love to gain some weight it just doesn't seem to happen. On motorcycles it's not as noticeable since the bikes weigh 300+ pounds so total weight changing from 350 to 450 isn't world changing, but it's a nice free performance bonus and the smaller the bike the bigger the change you'll see. Tucking down and perfecting that kind of equalizes roughly everyone unless you're super "wide" or "lots of drag" build complexion.
0:35 this made me chuckle
Ever thought about running two mics? You could have one extra in the saddle compartment picking up the wonderful noise from the exhaust, that way you can hear the exhaust way clearer when doing 186 :)
my aprilia rsv4 tack read like 195 i wasnt full redline but my gps said 172ish its tuned and has an austin racing exhaust i been thinking about getting the speedo healer but my phone gps works pretty good thanks for spreading the word ive heard 100 times that "my boy has a ninja 600 said he goes 185 all the time " sure dude
I've had my r1 to say I'm going 180 But I feel it was more like 165. Never gps it. Tho. But still felt like it was pulling. But never got all hyped about it because I know the speedos don't read correctly. On any bike. And at that speed you don't really pay much attention to the speed you're focus is so far out ahead. I don't care to look at my speed. One blink you've crossed football fields lol. Good video brah
I remember riding my 636 and thinking I was king of the streets. Ran a tuned bimmer and dude passed me. I had a delicious piece of humble pie.
Same😂
My Honda Elite 80 went 180 with just exhaust! I swear it!
I was brand new to riding, 750 k7 first bike, convinced it was hitting 187 until my buddy rode it and told my dyslexic ass I was reading 167. Most I’ve seen is 173 and I’m sure that’s not accurate. Gotta try GPS once it warms up here in Montana
around 14:00 mins in, I get what you're saying but to be fair, I lowered my gearing on my FZS1000 for more accelration, I took it to dyno the other day and it made 135WHP @ 10136 rpm, but redline is at 12k, so realisically I was doing the bike a diservice making it lower as it would slam the engine at 11.5K+ in 6th which is out of peak efficency, so i made the gearing taller now to try and fit into that 10k rpm optimal power
The pops your exuast makes will never get old
I love your rants 😁
Can confirm I thought my bike was going 176 so I drove by a speed thing the cops had setup and it said I was going 8mph slower than what my Speedo said. Makes me feel good lol I hopefully won’t get a ticket after all
I have multiple gps screenshots at 169-173 on my 2013 636. Full system, lowered, fuel commander.
Just got my r6 back (ended up getting the motor fully built from 2wheeldyno works) curious to see top speed on it once weather warms up.
I usually stay 140 and under. I love my 2023 zx6r and for now I have zero need or place to hit 180mph.
Being 5’6” and 130 lb makes litre bikes real interesting haha
Also I got the HealTech Speedo Healer and love it. Plug and play in 15 minutes and very easy to program
I hit 155 on my 08 Gsxr600 on gps speedo that was 172 on the bike speedo. Haven’t been able to get it there again since
The thumbnail was exactly what all the 600 squids need to hear
My 07 750 does about 167 with tune and a good wind . 😢 but I love her
Turbo Honda!! Love it
Bro you could not have dumbed that down any better best explanation I've heard I know what gearing does beforehand but you dumbed it down so people can understand perfectly in my opinion..... And on a side note changing one tooth on the front sprocket is roughly the same as changing about 3 on the rear
My ninja 400 goes 190
(I had good dreams last night)😂
people forget that when you double your speed you quadruple your air resistance and motorcycles are basically parachutes at those speeds.
Which quickshifter did you go with? I want a qs and have an extremely similar engine. (2019 GSX-S1000F with K&N filter, M4 exhaust and that beautiful Moore Mafia tune.)
I live in a place with very little straight roads so acceleration and suspension mean more to me. 180mph is more enough to compete with anyone on the road.
"HEYY. thats EEleegal" lOL brah
That 180 mph wall is serious. It takes a lot of wrenching (at my size) to carry my fat arse over 180(270lbs). I've had 2 bikes that would in the past. Both had parts lists a mile long. One a k5 1000 w/ big bore, ported polished decked, pistons ect. And still took nitrous to get me to 195 gps indicated. And a 1st gen turbo busa. I thought the k5 was fast. But it took well over 2x the cost of the bike in mods to get me up above 180. I should have just hit the gym 😂 and lost weight. Could have spent less money 🤣
I know a guy said his 2021 ninja 400 does 180 mph lmao 🤣
My buddy claimed his old 600 does 200 mph. I argue with him constantly he isn’t going past 150. My 2022 zx6r says 164 on the speedometer and gps says 151. I agree with you 💯 🤘keep killing those streets and come to south Florida and kill the 7 mile bridge with me!
Love the vids man been watching for 8 years now I live in the same state as you. Always wanted a bike after BMX it’d be tight if I got to ride with you someday. Stay safe brah
For real! I put a 48 tooth rear sprocket on my k4 gsxr 600 and I'll tap limiter 6th gear going 135 MAYBE, BUT the dash reading 185 🤣 any 600 will do maybe MAYBE 150
Even to my friends in cars i explain how their speedos are off. Theyll get new rims with a different wheel circumference and i have to explain how both their speedo and odo with shift even further off
