I could buy these on Amazon for a little cheaper usually. However, I buy from Goulet because of this right here; the customer service and wealth of information provided to their customers. A friend just told me certain Apicas were on sale really cheap elsewhere... As I was looking there I had some questions about Apicas sizes and colors which led me here... Which is why I will again be choosing to buy from Goulet (which are also great prices). I'm seriously not affiliated with Brian or the company.... Just a continuously happy customer.
Completely agree. I wish more companies understood that actually providing customer service results in repeat customers and better reviews, which should lead to new customers.

Brian, I think you should assume that we care about everything. There are a noticeable number of times where you doubt if a feature would matter to the viewer. I'm here, I'm at a product review video, I'm taking time to research: bring on the details! and don't worry about justification. You'll come off more objectively.
I love that you pay attention to AND comment on these random idiosyncrasies of products. I think you get that for SOMEONE, they're actually going to make or break them.

Aw yeah. I love this brand. I found it by accident in this pen shop and bought it since it looked like notebooks used in anime. It absorbs ink well. I remember mentioning this on reddit when your wife was asking for things we would like on the site.
I have heard of Fabriano. I've inquired with them about their notebooks, and got no reply. That's not unusual, you'd be amazed how hard it is even for a reputable retailer to just get an email back from a manufacturer!!
I was looking for a small nice looking notebook to use as an address book. That engrish on the cover just made an Apica CD series the one I'm going with.
Well....not really. It's pretty comparable to Rhodia, in performance and price. If you look at the page count, per sheet it's actually not that far off in price.
are you familiar with fabriano paper? because i think fabriano is great and it suprised me that you havent reviewed them. just my opinion :D but great review as always!!

+John Amburgy CF paper is more ink resistant so I lean towards that. There aren't a lot of different Apica formats, and the covers are pretty durable but not indestructible. Honestly both work well, it'll be just a personal preference thing -Brian Goulet
I don't like these. I have one, and it's not only hard (for me) to write on because of the size, it also doesn't like all pens. I'll stick to Tomoe River and Rhodia, even some copy paper works better. These are just silly little cheapos to me. To each his own of course.

These are my favorite series of notebook. I recommend them to everyone writing with a fountain pen and on a budget.

They're going to be pretty small: it's a 2.8"x4" notebook going in a 4.1"x5.3" leather cover. They'll work, but won't fill out the leather.

Do you have any advice for US letter size paper. I use a bold wet Visconti and seem to bleed through all local letter paper I can buy.
Apica paper is amazing. It's written on the back of the book, here in japan at least, that it's 81.4 gms paper. Too white for me though XD
In Japan, "lines" normally means rows, but not lines printed on the paper!
