Unboxing a package from Indoor Farmer - Bootstrap Farmer plug pods and trays!

I ordered some new supplies from ‪@indoorfarmer‬ - this is just a short video to show how it arrived, was packaged, and my initial thoughts (excitement!) at the product.
Although these are made of plastic, and I don't love using too much plastic in the garden, in this case I think it's worth it to develop healthier roots for my plants, and (hopefully) never to have to replace them. I've never had good luck starting in eggshells, egg cartons, toilet paper rolls, etc. But these are the perfect size, shape and function to start my seeds off - until I can pot them up or plant them out.

I believe those slits are to "air prune" the roots so they don't grow in circles.

Yes that’s a better way to say it! That’s what I meant by saying they direct the roots down :)
