as a person who experiences lots of anxiety moments and panic attacks, this is exactly how it feels like to go through a panic attack and what it feels like in my head. Have to say this is my favorite film of all of 2024. they just nailed this scene so well
For me the issue was the aftermath. This whole movie just feels like they wanted to animate this one scene and win an award for it. It doesn’t really show or tell us what to do after with that anxiety and Riley somehow just calms herself down. When I had my first panic attack at school I was freaking out bc I thought I was dying and back then nobody talked about ‘panic attacks’. Movie was good all in all I just hated the ‘we just got a massage chair for anxiety and now she just mostly chills’
As someone with an anxiety disorder this scene is definitely more of a depiction of a panic attack rather than an anxiety attack, panic attacks comes from an overwhelming situation that has built up, anxiety per say is silent, it's the silent obsession of the future that is the worst case scenario that probably won't happen, in the moment you're not in the moment you're lost and scared, for me a panic attack is like being in a tornado and an anxiety attack is like falling in darkness, it's scary but we all learn to cope and handle it in our own ways.
The part that got me was the scene when Riley's memories were randomly saying all of the good and bad things and Joy goes and hugs "Riley." It hits me everytime because I have moments where i overthink and it causes me to have anxiety and I want someone to hear me out and having someone hug you helps you realize you are not alone. This movie hit me hard and I loved it!!
I know what it’s like to have anxiety it’s a hard thing to deal with but it’s always good to talk to your family and friends who understand you to help calm your anxiety, I always get scared of doing something wrong and disappointing people.
My favourite part is actually right after this, with How she coming back to her sense slowly. With the see, touch, hear, smell. You can see a scene where he graze her seat a little and a distance hockey sound as well.
When Riley's parents asked how camp was. It is kind of shocking that Riley did not mention this panic attack. It's even more shocking that no one noticed. She was having it and came to her aide. Just saying the coach should have seen it. After all, Riley was in a glass box penalty box. I believe so it's not like no one would have noticed. Why did brie and grace show up after the panic attack? They could have helped her. I'm just saying this movie definitely hits. And I think it hits more for adults and teens. Then it does for kids, but that's not to say. Kids don't deserve it. It's a movie for everybody. And d*** I can't be the only one who thinks an insight out series. Besides, just dream productions definitely be worth it. After this to see Riley at 14 15 16 17 18. Who knows what organ get and possibly? A third movie is coming out. I don't think this is a franchise that's gonna die anytime soon. I think inside elves got a lot more ahead and hopefully they do the same thing with Riley, like they've done what The Simpsons over the years. She doesn't always have to age every time we see her. I know you wanna keep within the time. Frame were the timelime but let's keep her 13 a little bit longer just to see what kind of life changes that she goes through I. Guarantee you another anxiety. Panic attack will be on its way. As time goes on, not to mention will still have nostalgia to look back on when the time is right and she's led out of the basement.

@camdynthegamer for real though, this is my life as adult now. As a kid i used to have everything and i was so damn happy. Then everything i loved got ruined.
The greatest scene of this movie. Entire sequel is masterpiece, but this is peak Pixar. I cry a lot on this scene, such a longtime masterpiece. Everything was brilliant on this scene, the 'Im not good enough" o my god that hit really hard. And that moment when joy takes over Riley by the end. I could talk for hours about what was beautiful in this movie. The greatest sequel from Pixar, absolutely love it!
It's like anxiety said: Fear protects you from scary things you can see, and Anxiety protects you from the scary things you cannot see and you try to not let ot happen
Well yes,in a way! Anxiety is more extreme and controlling then fear... They said it in the film. Fear help us feel afraid of what we see, while Anxiety, helps us to be afraid of stuff we can't see...
What really got me was when Joy said "the older we grow, the less happier we are"....I couldn't hold back the tears anymore
