I generally hate snow, but my boss told everyone to stay home today, so I get to sit in my sunroom and crochet with the heavy blanket of snow covering everything in sight! My cats are glued to the windows, amazed by the snow, and they can see the birds outside even better! Love your videos!

I think my word this year will be positive. Hopefully that will help me keep the right mindset in 2025. And love how you framed your tapestry. If you decide to make more that would be easy to change out to create a new look every so often. 😊
I think it's good to have other hobbies besides crocheting, if you are stuck or just do not feel like it you can do something else and you will look at it refreshed. :3
I have to make time to make the goose! I do not have enough time in my life to make all of your patterns, but I HAVE to make the goose to improve my life. Might have to free hand him some sun glasses and stripe the rain coat to look like a towel for the summer!
Instead of getting a physical frame for the tapestry, you could just crochet a shell border on the outside! That’s what I do when I wanna frame my tapestries 🥰

Because of my illness 2.5 years ago, I lost pretty much everything I had built up despite Asperger's syndrome. But crocheting helped me regain my confidence in myself. I just adopted a cat a few weeks ago and her name is ANNIE! Your tapestry came out terrific and looks perfect in the frame! You’re “tangent” on the new year made me cry (I have been putting a lot of pressure on myself to do better and it’s also my time of the month so the tear count is definitely high🤪) My word for the year is “awareness” instead of a bunch of specific goals I have different mindsets I want to bring. Being aware of my mind and how I’m feeling. Being aware of what my body is telling me. Being aware of what I’m eating, and being aware of how I’m speaking and how others are feeling. I wear glasses, too, and the overhead light always seems to reflect on them. 😊 And I know what you mean about the new oven. Never cared until we bought our house. I love my stove now because I got to pick it. 😊💜💜💜 And your tapestry-such a good job! Yes, they take a long time. I haven’t finished one yet. The twinkle yarn for the night sky is perfect!!

I'm just across the border from Buffalo - and they get nailed with snow a lot too! Loving the longer chatty videos coming back too. As far as frames for your tapestry - sometimes just a good dowel on the top and bottom can really finish it off really nice. Then a simple chain or strand of yarn can be tied to that - which makes it really simple to hang. That chair is absolutely adorable for the plushies!!! I love your theory of just picking a word for the year. I think mine is going to be focus. It may be focusing on different things throughout the year, but taking the time to focus and not feel so scattered and yet paralyzed, if that makes sense.

Did you get hard there? My youngest is in Chicago (he’s actually operation mgr for Midway); he said it’s been A MESS at the airport but not too much snow, but ice (& delays, of course). We are still getting snow here, only a couple inches so far but super windy and SOOOOO COLD - below 0. 🥶. Love seeing your room come together as well as, all of your projects. Thank you for sharing! I like tapestry work, but I learned the hard way that if you’re left-handed (I am), you have to reverse the pattern or it comes out backwards which definitely matters if there are words. 😂
I think for tapestries you want to make to hang maybe you could print off the picture of it the size of the finished project and try it 9n the wall first
My word for the year is "surrender" (stop trying to control things I can't control anyway!). For a community project idea, we could all create a square of a certain size and send them in. Depending on how many you get, local folks can put them together and they can be blankets donated to a local shelter or woman's shelter or something like that...
