  • A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ġgantija Temples date back to between 3600 and 3200 BC. Join Clare as she explores the temples, considered as one of the oldest free standing monuments in the world, preceding Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids.
Pronounced as it's written, the name will certainly sound a lot like 'giants', and there's a reason for that! With megaliths exceeding five metres in length and weigh over fifty tons, giants were believed to have constructed these prehistoric temples!
