- There's a LOT of characters in Smash Ultimate, and all of them have specific attributes that may make them better than some others. Today, we got together Smash PROS TKbreezy, WaDi and Little Z and asked them to rank Smash characters based on their characteristics.

Kirby has saved the entire multiverse several times. From his perspective, he was just taking a stroll through the park on a beautiful summer day.

I feel like they could've EASILY made arguments for Cloud being overrated and Sephiroth/Ridley being intelligent, but prefacing that they don't know/aren't familiar with the characters outside of Smash is... fair enough haha
Ridley honestly it is hard to say it he just straight up is the smartest or just one of the smartest because I think he is straight up WaDi's best character that he randomly got for that.
So many top players have Cloud in top tier and Cloudy (Mexican cloud main) literally had him in top 10 in his recent tier list. He's way more overrated than Pika, who is at the very least top 5. Cloud (and Byleth, and maybe Corrin soon, and whoever else Leo picks up next) is overrated because of representation - the characters are no better than they were, Leo and Spargo are just better than everyone else at the game

He's just yet another character who had very little representation and became underrated because of that but now has a top representative who is able to showcase how good the character actually is.

Ganon is so powerful he basically cannot die, and when he does... he just reincarnates. No living being in Hyrule could dream to be as powerful as Ganon is, not even those courageous enough to put a stop to his doings.
@@TheKorenji Sora still fights people with similar abilities (Chernabog, Sephiroth, Maleficent, Xehanort) on waaaay higher level and the Keyblade even has the ability to seal hearts/darkness for this exact kind of situation. Even then, just because he reincarnates 1000+ years later does not mean he doesn't lose, especially since no incarnation of him matches characters Sora has beaten like Xemnas or Xehanort. Heck he activly loses to Link who has never matched him in power and beats him due to using weapons that counter evil (Zelda's Arrows of Light and the Master Sword) which both have nowhere near the feats and power of a keyblade, which still manages to have the same evil/darkness countering abilities.
@@Sylvastier It's rather hard (and definitely unintended) to measure how strong "pure evil" actually is... sometimes that power is weak to good magic, sometimes it's balanced.. and in rare occasions, dark magic is just stronger.. it's definitely weird to compare the source of ultimate power within different universes, because a lot of the times they just don't mesh correctly since they're built for specific scenarios... like pitting two unstoppable forces against each-other... that's definitely something we aren't meant to see happening-
anyways, my point is... one really shouldn't understate Ganon, not a bit, not at all.
Falco is not just a pilot, he's an astronaut. He flies in space. I gotta rank that above your run-of-the-mill doctor.
He has a whole planet to protect so that’s even more than a pilot
Sephiroth was in the lifestream and has near-infinite bounds of knowledge, certainly more than a computer. I would argue he's smarter than ROB. I also heard something about Ridley being very smart
Kazuya has a gold suit with matching gold hair while simultaneously being a devil and he somehow pulls it off. I'm sorry but It doesn't get more swaggy than that.

Sora is like, the Goku of Kingdom Hearts, he's just incredibly gifted with all the magic and techniques that everyone in his universe can use and only gets better and better at using them as the plot demands. He may be a bit of a Gary Stu but he could put a lot of Ganondorf-tier villains away nonetheless
There's also plenty more arguments to make about Mario's intelligence, that dude can do a hundred more things than just be a doctor. I'd even say Doc loses to him just because it's a narrowing-down of his skills and expertise
Just like Goku though, he can just as easily lose or die to the villains, because he gets carried away, thinking things would be easy-peasy (like dream drop distance, or 3). But is brought back, because plot armor demands it.
But yes, he can still put down Ganondorf for sure.
His power is only gonna grow more when kh4 comes out.

Also Roy is canonically very very smart and makes great tactical decisions and almost flawlessly won an entire war, and he saw through plenty of enemy traps that were set up. He acts as both a general and tactician despite only being 15, which is pretty crazy

Sora is "carried" by his memories of his friends. That's all he needs and he's good to go. Though he does escape death several times in the series, we can take Kairi's "I believed you wouldn't die, therefore you didn't" away, and the whole heartless/nobody thing where you can't really die, pre-KH3 away as well. Sora is still beating Ganon without those imo. I'd argue the Square Enix characters are the hardest to beat. Sephiroth is definitely murdering Ganon in 5 seconds.

Playing as Steve&Alex is like playing Minecraft in a new world - mining for resources building shelter crafting better tools/weapons and even in Minecraft it's a chore because it takes fucking forever to get started so yeah not fun lol!

Maleficent, Hades, Hercules, Jafar, *Cloud and Sephiroth*, and several other high power Disney Villains might want a word with you. In the In Universe Tier List, Sora's got more on his plate than most of the cast. He's up there with Palutena and Kirby(withItems).

@@nimcie8377 He never *killed* Sephiroth. He beat him, but since KHSephiroth has a special connection to KHCloud, Sora can't eliminate him.
Still, Sephiroth is a planet-eating top-tier threat, and getting him to admit you're good is certainly a feat in and of itself. And Sora still has wins against pretty deadly Disney Villains, too.
Up there with Palutena and Kirby? Nah, even higher. He's actually up there with Mario, Sonic (Super form) and Shulk (Monado III), although Joker solos the entire Smash roster due to platonic concepts

I would like to point out that Link and Zelda both canonically LOSE to Ganondorf on their own. They can only beat him together, without the other they both toast
The exception for this is Twilight Princess as Link handedly beats Ganondorf's ass. He had some help in one horseback fight but he's had 3 fights where she was doing nothing (or rather even possessed by Ganondorf).
Not quite. Link can definitely whoop Ganondorf's ass, 9 times out of 10. As usually Link is fighting Ganondorf alone anyways.
The only time Ganondorf truly win against Link, was using an army of deadly robots against him, such as BotW. Otherwise in a 1 on 1? No contest, that Link just wipes his ass against the floor.
To all arguments in the replies I'm meaning lore wise. In game it is usually Link on his own bc he's the player-character, but in the lore it had to be both of them.

I'm both laughing and dying on the inside because I'm just thinking about how silly it would be to see some of these characters square up in their canonical appearances.
Sora canonically is one of the strongest people in all of Final Fantasy

An easy argument for Sora vs Ganon would be that Ganon is darkness and Sora is used to seal/fight it
Ok but that's not that simple though. If you take it logically, Sora is the protagonist so he'll beat every form of darkness on his path. He will always beat the bad guy. This is obvious since this is the point of playing the games, beating the darkness. But it's not supposed to be automatic. He should supposedly be capable to die and actually it almost happened in Kingdom Hearts 3. So that's not a realistic argument. This is an easy argument yes.

If only they had Dark Pit instead of Normal Pit. Dark Pit is extremely fun to gimp with, one of the few characters that can consistently fight offstage which is always a blast, and rewards your sociopathy. Normal Pit is fine too I guess

It's so strange to me. The big hype of Smash is seeing these characters we already love get play, and we love them BECAUSE we play their games. So how do the pros manage to avoid all that?
@@BJGvideos I have no idea why they’re even interested in Smash. The gameplay is elementary, unless it’s Melee, and they’re always going on about how easy or cheap all the characters are… It makes no sense. They don’t even play fighting games either lol.
As a fan of versus battle type shows like Death Battle and Smash Bracket, the urge to constantly "um actually" them when they ignorantly debate character power levels in these is overwhelming.

@@lemonhead19 i can't find any definitive feats of strength from ike that would put him above sora. Sora defeated Sephiroth who can create a literal supernova. He's beaten gods, and can time travel at will. He can also fly.
@@gorbla1231 Power scaling between games in general is always pretty weird, like for example it’s hard to say if a god in one universe is as strong as a god in another, stuff like that. I could say Ike defeated Ashera, the god of control, but I really don’t know how she scales to the gods in KH, and vice versa. In general though, I think Ike is a better fighter.

In my opinion, Wolf and Sephiroth are the 2 hypest characters in the game
Not by that much. Like, with the organic-design overlayed on the usual armor appearance, the blue glow effect, the colors on the charge shot, the fact that she floats everywhere.
Dark Samus is a very cool looking character, people's minds are usually to poisoned with her playstyle to notice it.
It's kinda the same issue as Steve. People say Steve is badly designed, but with his incredibly original moveset, intrinsic mechanics and style choices, Steve is simply one of the best designed characters in the game. People just forget that because his playstyle is unappealing.

@@firefatesgaming1855 That's literally all gameplay. Steve is beautifully design in the way his blocks work, the mining, crafting and durability mechanics, his resource management, the references incorporated in his moves, etc.
His gameplay isn't well designed, but everything else about the character is.

As a biased Dark Pit main, very fun character. Multiple jumps, arrows, fun combos and then hitting that spike twice in a row is very satisfying

I love how they mix in all their in-game and out of game logic to try to one up each other. Never change Panda, plenty of special moments for everyone here lmao
Kirby can operate the equivalent to fighter jets (Planet Robobot; basically Kirby with mechs), a skill that takes years of training, study, and practice; by human standards, while his feats of intelligence and limits of intellect are conflicting (while he can operate a fighter jet, his most basic instincts and desires are that of an animal; eat, sleep, and repeat; also it's unclear whether or not he can read, but he can also play golf pretty well) I'd say he's pretty smart, more of an anomaly, but still pretty smart. On top of that, Kirby can also absorb and break-down enemies, he can assimilate them, learn, and easily replicate their abilities in an instant; guns, explosives, energy weapons and energy generation, martial arts, telekinesis and ESP, etc.; complex technology and machinery as well as intricate practices that take years to perfect, and he does this instinctually. Falco isn't really that special when most other birds don't need to know how to be a pilot to fly. ROB, while being an AI and so is pretty intelligent, he's also working on late 80's tech; he's basically an NES with extra bits and baubles. I would argue Kirby is objectively the smartest.
ZSS is actually REALLY fun to play...or...that is until you successfully land an Up Special that'd kill on the last stock and then the opponent just falls out of it.

Counterpoint: R.O.B. is literally a toy, and is not capable of sentience. (Even in the Subspace Emissary, R.O.B.'s capacities for intelligence are limited to following orders and feeling basic emotions.)
Sephiroth easily beats that given his demonstrations of insanely complicated yet effective tactics to consistently overwhelm and outwit Cloud across the Final Fantasy VII series.

Last round, wadi could have won with ridley because in the metroid games it's said that despite his apperance, Ridley is known to be highly-inteligent.

I will argue against Daisy being smarter than Peach, because the only reason why Peach gets kidnapped all the time is because everyone always try to kidnap her. I mean, I never got kidnapped in my life, but did someone even try to? Meanwhile, we tried to kidnapp Daisy once, and she got kidnapped that one time. And like, if you are a normal princess, would you be able to defend yourself against Bowser's army? I don't think so.
