Hi the uk has been Peat Free for many years because of Environmental issues. Despite living in uk I don’t know what P3 stands for either, but I would imagine a good quality potting compost from your local Garden Centre would suffice. Hope this helps Regards
I've yet to find a commercial peat free compost which has anything but poor results for cuttings due to poor structure & poor moisture retention. I've had to develop my own, using the product of my composting bays which has been used to grow potatoes in containers at 9 months, then riddled at 6mm once I harvest the potatoes. Coir based composts are an environmental disaster, from the huge transport distances to the water needed in processing.
I am in California. Don’t see any P3 compost on sale here? What does P3 stands for? Can I use any other compost?
