Looks like great fun Jim! As an E bike rider myself it’s nice to see how other riders are starting to fully accept e mountain bikes both on the trails and in competitions. Keep the awesome videos coming!!!
Great vid, I just bought the Saracen Ariel E with the same Shimano motor, due to a knee injury. Couldn't be happier with it. I'd recommend everyone at least trys one, its got me enjoying the bike after years of suffering.
Great video not got a problem with e bikes never tried one though. Would have to be separate section for Enduro’s and I no there is a separate section for strava .
I’m definitely with you on the saddle issue. Bought a new bike, already had another bike, liked that saddle, but kept getting saws from the new one so swapped it for the same saddle as my old bike, no probs at all. The thing is that everyone else who sits on that bike says that the saddle is the hardest one they’ve sat on or “I don’t know how you ride on that”. But it feels really comfy to me so I say if you find a good one, stick with it
Was you racing in turbo mode, screen looked yellow on the vid? I only tend to use turbo in short steep bursts otherwise trail or eco. 60km range is about normal without including off mode. Keep riding it and you will find it hard going back unless riding flat trails or uplifts...
Acceleration out of turns on an ebike gives a huge advantage, you saw that on the Shropshire way ride. Still, I'm faster on a none ebike because of the 16mph limit.

It's sponsored by Merida this year, that will change their view on ebikes hey!!
Excellent second part Jim. Great vid.

Just boost in the stages, when I remembered!!
@@PinnedTV Try trail mode next time rather than boost in the tighter stuff, less sensitive so less likely to understeer. Walk mode is great haha
Swapped my Merida saddle out straight away for a WTB Volt. Also upgraded to carbon bars and better grips.
That's a merida own brand saddle and yeah I agree
Noticed a few Ohlins forks on the bikes guess the will be disappearing shortly with the recall
Great vid mate. Haters gonna hate. You’d probably have been quicker on your orange on the stages. E bikes are sick tho. Room for everyone eh?
What was the 5,4,3,2,1 thing durin he crash all about?
I always think a crash ain't that bad if you can get rolling within 5 seconds, so count it down to hurry myself up, weird I know! 😂

I'd get it chipped if it was mine.
